there are 2 other weapons in the game that scale their damage when you Haste, and neither of them get as much damage per Haste or nor do they have the Charge mechanic. it's genuinely ridiculous and I have no idea why they did this.
I feel like every time I've seen Bazaar games with the DJ, only the nanobots ever see actual play while the DJ is either quickly sold or kept in the stash to be upgraded and then sold later on.

I got to admit that even with some of the most bizarre OP items in this patch, it is easily the most balanced patch out I have played yet. I would argue that if anyone is a bit weak, it is Pyg for two reasons. First, his most busted builds (both the broken stuff and just the good, not broken stuff) doesn't really come online until pretty late. So, you can die early if you don't get a little lucky with some skills to prop up your items. Second, even his most busted stuff doesn't actually do a ton against other boards by the time it comes online without some fairly specific combos. Even then with those combos, Pyg's OP boards can get blown away by other character's OP boards. I have been maining Pyg (dont worry, I enjoy interesting boards rather than copy/pasta OP stuff every time) and the huge difference maker for me has been Fort. If I have it, I tend to get the 10 wins, but I almost always die with less than 7 wins without it. It just gives you the tiny extra time needed for all his slower items to trigger, where you can otherwise die without ever procing your items even once otherwise.
I am having my best pyg patch yet. I run weapon builds, search for shield bash, assualt focus, and lethargy, and essentially free-win vs any charge strategies. It loses to vanessa single weapon stuff and the Belle strategy in this video, but it works very well in the meta.
@@philliphart6327 Good shout and I will try prioritizing that combo of skills to see how things go. That said, you kind of prove my point in that you need to get some specifics to really get up to form on Pyg and if you don't get those, you just don't have the value on board against the other heroes boards typically, certainly not against their OP boards if you are unlucky enough to go up against a lot of meta. That only gets worse the more you lose early on as you are more likely to go up against that stuff later. I can beat that stuff a lot of time, but only if I get certain things to compete. So, my strat has been medium weapons plus weapon damage skill early and then race to fort plus whatever interesting thing later while picking value, high tier skills. Like I said though, I'll try hunting for shield bash, assault focus, and lethargy though. Thanks :)
Between the 3 characters yeah it's probably the most balanced. But build wise while I could see people saying it's balanced I don't think the builds are diverse at all to feel balanced personally.
Belle is so comically broken what it actually makes me deeply worried about the game. I can understand it's hard to balance a game like this, but this state of belle is proof no one even spend a millisecond testing or even thinking about these changes.
Two things: 1) That's easy to say with perfect 20/20 vision. 2) Isn't that exactly what a closed beta is for? We're literally testing the things they are trying so that the final versions are functional and make sense. It always seems weird to me when people complain about something being totally broken or unplayable or bugged when we're literally playing in a closed beta.
Dooley doesn't suck at all. I think the thing that's throwing people is the cores. Most of the starting cores are extremely powerful in the early days, but they aren't degenerate enough to compete with Vanessa and Pyg after they get an infinite going. Solution? Ditch your core once you have something better going.
True. Also you can try for the ten-day tempo win before the infinity loops get instant starts. Belle is perfect for this. Around day 12-13, it feels like it can’t win anymore.

It may be a good idea to remove Xp gain choices during first few levels or something similar. I feel the game would benefit by slowing down a bit progression, while keeping the fast pace of the pvp fights

yeah watching the fight i'm pretty sure you won that turtle fight with Lizard on the board. not only would Belleista have scaled much faster I'm pretty sure that diamond Monitor lizard would have done more damage too because of how poison stacks with itself. Hard to say on for sure on the lizards damage but belleista hit 4k damage in that fight getting only ~half the haste charges (so likely 8 k) and was not Internal cooldown capped during the fight. so it would have been hitting much harder and much faster.
Dooley is more consistent in this patch to me. Definitely my favorite. He just lacks the late game power scaling the other two have. Typically, at least for me anyway, he tends to fall off hard when the game goes past day like... 12.
Hey Retro, in the description next to the link to the closed beta, it says "free open beta in January". The devs ended up pushing that release back a month. Do you mind updating that for clarity?
I don’t think doolie sucks. I’ve been having lots of fun this patch with all heroes. With that said, I feel like I don’t come across as many good skills with doolie as I do the other heroes. Too many of his skills just affect the core versus amplifying your endgame potential. And the cores aren’t as OP this patch. It makes me scared to reroll a vendor if I come across even a mid skill cause more than likely I’ll just be offered more useless stuff. Kinda like going square pyg then getting offered only property skills at diamond tier, except it’s most runs.
Dooley victory by virtue of having more viable builds Property pig and ammo vanessa in shambles I do wonder when this game will feel like it has a 100% balanced patch,but it wont be soon because Mak is still to come
There really isn't much that matters after you get bellelista online so it is hard not to phone in the rest of the run with her, I look forward to her inevitable nerfs
This patch is so damn fun. I have had so many stupidly broken runs. Ive scaled damage to integer, found out pvp fights can time out. So many weird builds are viable with having so many enchants available as well.
Dooly is not bad at all. Just try to force companion core and dinosaurs. It's very consistent to force dino/comp. core. I've won 5/5 games with the build today. It also shuts down allot of the meta builds in ranked and normals.
