In this tutorial I will show how to use Blender to create a material ID from a bake. From there we will use the material id to assign different textures to our model inside of Quixel Mixer.

Hi this is not works to me. If i select material id in mixer, the surface added to every material id, not just the selected.

How do I make it so the texture is zoomed in and it's not being repeated. More natural?
You can change the texture scale but the best way to increase texture quality is to just use a larger texture resolution.

I created a Material ID that has 6 materials
Why is Mixer only showing me 3 material slots? Don't tell me it only allows 3 material slots per model?
Do all of your materials have a different color? When it bakes out the map it uses the color in order to create the material. You can have as many as you can fit onto the map.
@@raven67854 I have a 3D model I made in Blender divided into 6 different parts. I used a single material but I assigned a different color for each part. The thing is, when I load that into Mixer, it only shows me 3 material ID slots instead of 6.
Hmm this is strange. Do you have Discord? If so join my Discord so you can send me images of it all. I think I need to actually see it. Also you can send me the blend file which would allow me to test on my end.

Its so stupid that quixel cant just generate a Material ID Map from the mesh.
It's actually more annoying that you can't just create multiple materials in say Blender. Then have them all combine out into 1 texture set if you want.
Then you wouldn't need a material id at all.
