Tip: When drilling precisely located holes in wood you can use brad point drill bits. Accurate and you don't have to center punch the locations. Nice color scheme.

I just looked up what these were and they seem absolutely the solution! Going to pick up a set. Thanks for the tip :)

I'm a few weeks behind, great break down of the build and looks great. I hope to see more about your workbench build too. What are the casters you used?

If you ever have to tap many holes again you should look into buying a self reversing tapping head for your Drillpress, use it at work daily and it makes your life so much easier and faster ^^

I have actually never heard of that! I just looked them up. How well do they work in various material? Like will it change how much torque is needed? For example I know when tapping acrylic you need to do it slow and gently.

@@AryaNakh we mainly do aluminium, works pretty well there, just need to keep it lubed and set the right rpm, can't really tell for acryllic but i guess it should work the same depending on how slow your drillpress can go, or if the material can stand tapping in multiple steps.

Got it. That is super cool. I’ll have to check that out. For now, it’s just an arm workout but looks like something to add to my list of future tools!

Nice video! I'm finishing my PrintNC very soon :D. Those motor covers with the hole for the connector... I have seen some in thingiverse but yours seem to have a very low profile. Which one did you use?

Yes that is the one I used! The only thing is one of the aviator connector covers is mis-sized for the base so I made my own cover for it. I will upload it as a remix for that part today if you want to use it 😁

@@davidzomec www.thingiverse.com/thing:4888964 I have uploaded it here! Let me know if there is anything else I can provide! This one works for the vertical wiring option. The other "side" wire feed mounts, use the lid in the main thingiverse!

How many spray canisters you end up using? LOL :)
    Great build!

Thank you!! I used about 3 cans of primer and 3.5 cans of paint for the steel plus the cable chains! I used Rustoleum spray paint. Depending on the color you pick, you may need more/less cans of paint. Since both my primer and paint was white, it made it easy. Also depending of scratches in your paint job would annoy you, you could add 2 cans of clear enamel spray paint to the mix after it is dry to help protect your paint job! I didn't do this (I didn't think of this at the time). But so far it hasn't been a big deal. Hope this helps!
