- I build a professional raised dog kennel. Outdoors kennel made for working dogs, comfy and durable. this kennel is two foot of the ground and 7ft tall 15ft wide 8ft deep. go big or go home!
Hey everyone I am a 4th generation farmer, grew up in south central Nebraska living the farm kids dream. As I got older I was able to turn that dream of one day being a farmer into reality! Soon enough into farming I realized that I needed a second source of income to keep on top of todays lifestyle and invested into livestock! What was the budget for this build ? Where to get rubberized rubber hog flooring ?do you have material list ?
Use rubber liner instead of paint. Will last a lot longer.

Hey. Nice work. But five foot doors will be a sure way for your dogs to run by you when you open your large door. I have beagles. They are ready for a chance to go hunting. Big problem as theirs no way they will stop until they are tired of running rabbits.

Hey nice!! Were did you get those latches heavyduty?
I would've designed the floor different you kind of defeated ,the whole purpose of above ground kennels.
Also another thing you could do is put them on on wheels and put a hitch on the front so you could pull them around!!
I'm looking to build 4x6 x 6 units for outdoor without backs to back up to 4 x4 night den with a door
I don't know anything about these kennels but it seems like these would be cold in colder areas because the wind can go underneath the kennels? If you've ever slept in a vehicle or in a hammock with the wind going underneath you. Not much room for them to move around?

Those deck panels are assume 5-7 you might want to put some more Stringers for more support

To give you more space you can cut holes in back of the pens and make something for the barrels to rest on and fasten the barrels to the cages and then the dogs have more room the dogs my friend did basically the same thing
If these were half the depth, they would make great cat condos for a shelter. Lots of space for a cat and room for cat trees and lots of enrichment.

what gauge fence panels did you use. I have kennels I rent out that have chain link and when ever i get an aggressive bully they tend to tear up the chain link. Remember these are not my dogs. What would you suggest or do you think the gauge you use would work? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
It's a horse stock panel from tractor supply. I strongly believe there is no dog out there that could tear it up. Not sure the Guage but would guess it to be 3/16 to 1/4" wire

Excuse my ignorance, but isn't the idea for the droppings to go through the floor? Don't the floor panels have to be a slightly larger grid? Hope it all works out.
