Great review. My wife and I enjoyed the camera assistant very much! LOL You guys definitely showed the utility aspect of the Ranger. We're looking for something to use with a large equestrian facility and this might fit the bill.
Nice vid Hoss, and great camera work! I've had my XP for two full years and I love it. Tks for the post. *trust me guys, these machines are the real deal* Bob, Northern Ontario.
Great video. I was quite impressed with the ease in which your Ranger went through the mud and up hills. I just hope the Rhino I just bought does as well. Keep the videos coming
Thats the engine braking that drags the back tires, the active descent control works through a brake in the front diff which activates when your going 15 mph or slower.
also a few comments for the driver. the unlocked 2WD is called "turf mode" really dont drive unlocked in mud trails etc. because you sit there w/ one tire spinning and the other doing something very weird. also when driving through mud etc. its a very good idea to put in LOW gear. very little gas will give you much more power/ torque than high which is for speed. from my experiences high gear on the trails=not a good turn out, because your making the ranger do more than what it has to.
@MrWildass they claim the new polaris active hill decent is supposed to work... problem is the awd unlocks and it just drag's the back tires.... i actually just traded for a 2010 teryx last week and was playing in a few sand pit's... sees to hold back really good till about 5 kph or less then it goes into free coast... just touch the gas pedal and it kicks back in and works great at higher speeds. it also had an actuall 4wd that keeps the front wheels engaged to hold back on the rough stuff
I love my 2005 Polaris 700xp. But I am having an issue with what seems to be fuel/airflow. It cranks right up, but when I press the gas peddle it shuts down???
nice vid i must say impressive machine I own a diesel mule 2510 00'. purchsed new im very happy with. although i wish you could promo the 6&6.diesel that would be great.
i've never seen a polaris product yet that would last without fixing something every coulple of thousand miles... rhino's are industructable... i used to own a 04 and 06 sportsman... now a brute but if i get a side by it will be a teryx or rhino
@codyadams500 just saying me and 5 of my friends all used to run polaris but had lots of clutch, wheel bearing, front end locker, and suspension problens, not to mention my buddys 700 sportsman that would burn off wires and alternators every time out. we run honda's and kawasaki now, seem to have real good durability and we rip the shit out of them lol
@rumswigger cant beat them hondas and kaw ok youve owned them all which holds back best going down hillmy buddys got a ranger them thing will run away wt ya down hill you hv to gv it gas for it to start hes constantly doing it and its not safe at all
the ranger 500 will go bout 50 thats about right for a 700 and lol u went on the highway lol i drive my 500 all around town.. and for everyone else if u hav a ranger and drive it on the road put a safety triangle on it.... itll save u a $60 ticket... the ranger is considered a slow moving vehicle so u need a triangle!!!
also how bout u put the ranger in low not high... ur gonna get stuck in high.. low is for what ur doin not high... high is for speed and fun not muddin but what ever
you should have bought a ranger. we almost got a rhino. if we did it be broken by now. the rangers are just better made all around and user friendly. we hit a tree on the back right end. we fixed it all up with a new pannel in a day and a half. the rhinos just arent =( trade that rhino in and get a RANGER!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was the best narrator I ever heard. That kid is going places! Enjoyed the video

Thank you for doing/making this. If only someone would do this for the 6X6. That is the one that I'm interested in.
