Hey Syntac! I'm the mod developer on The Hunted and wanted to tell you how much fun I've been having watching your videos. Also, really great feedback! You've given me lots of ideas and I've even been able to patch a few bugs you've discovered along the way. Much appreciated! I've been opting to just binge-watch all of these videos in this series while eating dinner the past couple of nights. I've thoroughly enjoyed them all.

What's the reasoning behind 200+ parent dinos in nesting locations? I understand 150-180 but 200+ seems excessive. But I dunno maybe it would be to easy then.

@@monishthalapaneni5877 I think it's a percentage thing if you pay attention his oxygen did seem to go down slower than it usually does but since his o2 is at 50 and not 100 it's more noticeable

The herbivores heal insanely much like the carnivores do when they hit corpses, the stego was hitting the dead stego behind it and healing from that!

Syntac, the "useless" azulberries allow you to stay underwater essentially indefinitely if you have hemoglobin and stimulant. It's difficult but totally doable to go under with a fast water tame and lots of azul and hemo.
The stego was getting I frames from the spikes cause it was getting constantly hit by them

I know I'm here late..but dude this the best series you've ever done in your channel. and this mod is freaking awesome, everything about this mod is just great. i mean the nesting and guarding eggs thingi is kinda realistic thinking, that's what dinosaurs really did during their time. not poop eggs everywhere like the regular arks. and taming process is also legit, not head shooting 100 of darts to knock and after wake up creature forget who put them to sleep 😅. I'm really enjoying this dude..thank you 😃
Azul berries(blue ones) are great for underwater, they will actually give you more oxygen. So if you take a stack of azulberries and stimberries to counter-act the torpor you can stay underwater for as long as you have berries. It's a bit micro intensive as you have to eat another berry every few seconds but it's possible. And using lazarus chowder makes it even easier.
This episode gave me the same old anxiety I felt the first time I ventured into the Ark ocean...
The moment he picked those eggs from the preserving bin I started expecting for random stego, anky or trike to attack the base lol

Herbivores in the hunted heal when they hit corpses the same way carnivores do which is stupid but it happens.
Fun Fact: I counted up all the damage you did to that stego... 12,917 is what I came up with. It's a rough estimate because it was difficult to keep track. Chances are it was more than that.
There’s a glitch in the mod where the Dinos won’t die when they are attacking a building or harvesting a corpse. The reason why you were able to kill the steep was because it shifted the aggro on toro. Like this so Syntac will see
Havent played Ark in a month, breeding burnt me out, but watching this series makes me want to jump back in.

Without scuba having 50 oxygen is really tough, but just putting 5points in oxygen will get you to 150 oxygen and you get a decent amount of time underwater, and I think there's another tier up from concentrated hemoglobin that slows drain down even more
Lol there is a pond under a waterfall less than 200ft from your base FULL of fish. Super safe and easy to get to. Right by the cave you had a small base in.
its overspawning syntac because the mod overspawns things and then u have high spawn rates turn it down and it will fix i swear it will work trust me

Yes because it is much easier to go to the pond near the redwoods which is much safer and more efficient
The ocean is legit a death trap, the second he dips his feet in their every megalodon in a 10 mile radius will attack

Follow the river at the cave you were in at the start of the series. There is a water fall that has a LOT of fish that spawn in it. That would be a safe easy way to get fish meat.
That's so cool that the Mosas can come after you from the surface, kudos to the mod dev. It'll be terrifying to try out but still awesome
Btw, on S+ feed troughs, you can change what creatures can eat from the trough through the radial menu. So you could have a separate trough with fish meat for just your piscivores to eat from.
You know....I forgot that you could still use G to drag smaller corpses when you're mounted on some dinos. It's proven useful in this mod.

The stego was getting health back because it was also hitting the dead stego when he was attacking your wall, the healing is also applied to herbivores.

I usually go for a salamander on deep ocean runs since they can outswim pretty much everything, oxygen won't be an issue then! Just don't get hit by anything! 😉

In fairly shallow water you can begin a radial menu corpse harvest and spacebar to the surface for air without interruption of the harvest you started, have not tested for a depth limit.

You can setup an S+ feeding trough just for your Piscivores - trough options, hit inclusion and tick the creatures you want to eat fish only then put fish meat in that trough.
This way your carnivores will eat from the main trough and leave the fish meat trough alone.

so about the fish meat and other creatures not eating it, it could be considered "abusing s+" but you could always put down a s+ feeding trough and set a filter on it to only allow the creatures you want to eat from it. set it to your pelagornis, barry, and pteradon and fill it with fish and bam
STORYTIME. For me the ocean in ark is just heartbreaking because my big brother plays ark and he wanted me to tame a tuso. I had the pearls, a bad mosa I didn’t need, and I for one was very exited. Like I was about to tame my first TUSO!! He tought me how to tame them and he was very proud that I was about to tame one . I only had a couple tames underwater, a good megaladon I didn’t wanna sacrifice, a good mosa, dolphin and a dunkleadokulous. (Sorry idk how to spell that) but a bad mosa I didn’t wanna keep and of course, an angler fish. So I went on my dunk and brought the mosa in a cryopod. I found a max level and me and my brother were very happy. I tried to tame it, it was going good, but I took a hit and didn’t want to die. The mosa wasn’t attacking it, (on passive) I had enough pearls, and I couldn’t find one creature that could mess up my effectiveness. It wasn’t KOd yet, around half way, JELLY FISH CAME AND NOT ONLY KILLED MY BAD MOSA, BUT MY ESCAPE DUNK!!!! I then died shortly after. I was in PVE and didn’t have a water base yet. that day my mosa and myself went down to jelly fish. The rest of my water tames starved.
I never went down there since.
The death worms in the desert will also give angler gel, and in a better quantity than the angler fish
I Have never seen it with herbivores.. But with carnivores at least.. They will heal forever as long as they are eating a body.. I wonder how that one heals xD
Eat the prime fish, it is sushi grade and gives you a heal buff for quite a while (albeit a pretty slow heal)
