The last old man is the owner of the song. He lost his sight at the age of 6 due to an illness. He’s the legendary poet of Turkey, Aşık Veysel Şatıroğlu. He would both write and compose his songs on his own, he has made hundreds of them. He passed away in 1973.
standart C note is equals A note in bağlama, you must transpose your bağlama with a capo. You should tune in DGA, bottom strings (3 thin strings) must be D and top strings must be A. This tuning for short neck bağlama, long neck tuning is different *-*
It's a song with an extremely deep understanding, which you've heard. To summarize briefly, it describes the journey of life that begins with birth and ends in death. To give a few examples; "I'm going to a two-door inn, day and night," one door symbolizes birth and the other symbolizes death. And when he says, "I'm going to the range to catch up, day and night," he means death, the last point of man's reach.
About this song: This is a folk song like the all songs in Doğa İçin Çal series. We called them as "türkü". Some of the folk songs anonymous when the others has a writer. We have folk singers called "aşık". they play and sing their own songs and play main instrument of folk song "bağlama". This song belongs to Aşık Veysel and about the life. At the end of the video he is seen. He was blind since he was 7 years old. Thank you for preparing and sharing the video.
That instrument is called "Chapman Stick" according to google. Thanks to you, I have learned it,too. By the way, there are a lot of instruments in these videos. But we don't usually see them in everyday lives. For example, the guy in the video is the first, probably only chapman stick player in Turkey.
At the part with sign language she does "day and night, day and night" just like the chorus
This folk song is from Aşık Veysel. He was a very popular folk singer who wrote and composed his own songs.
And here is the translation of this song:
I am on a long narrow road
I am going day and night
I have no clue what kind of condition I am in
I am going day and night
As soon as I was born
I started walking at the same time
Two doored inns
I am going day and night
Even in my sleep I am walking
I am trying to find a reason to stay
I see everyone constantly leaving
I am going day and night
Forty nine years on these roads
The flat mountains in the dessert
I have fallen into the hands of homesickness
I am going day and night
Deep thoughts
Until I see the distant
The amount of minutes on one road
I am going day and night
Veysel is in a confused condition
Sometimes crying sometimes gone
To reach the end
I am going day and night
And the old man at the end of the song was Aşık Veysel himself.
all type of baglama has its own tuning even each player has his tuning. and fret design is different. there are two (at least) semi notas between main notas (except B-C and E-F) . these semi notas (KOMA) gives the different taste of music. you can watch fretless guitar (perdesiz gitar) and microtonal guitar videos. good person about different sound and instruments is ERKAN OĞUR in Turkey.
My friend let me give you some information about bağlama. Mainly there are two kinds of bağlama; long keyboard and short keyboard. I think yours is long keyboard. Chord of the strings; lower three strings A, middle two strings D and upper two strings G. But not all the bağlama sounds good with this chords because of the quality of strings and bağlama. It sounds very bass. So we make the sound one step high-toned but accept the bass tones. I mean lower three B, middle two E and upper two A. But we still call them A, D and G.
One of the fundamental parts of this poem is that we are all passengers staying in an inn with 2 doors, one is birth, and the other is death. Inn doesn't belong to us. We can't stay still and have to walk day and night to the second door.
The instrument we know as baglama has 9 different types according to its size and sound. Each baglama has a different tuning scheme. There are also different tuning schemes according to the region of the same baglama.
Most commonly used tuning system ( for long neck tying ) ( top to bottom )
Upper string group: G
Middle string group : D
Lower string group : A
In the black and white video you see in the last part of the Song, we are the bard of this song, Aşık Veysel Şatiroglu, and we listen to the chorus part in his own voice. Aşık Veysel is a person who lost his sight at a young age as a result of infectious smallpox when he was a child.
5:28 This clarinet (G) (custom glass) and mostly Turkish music (G) clarinet German system is used
There were no captions because for Turks this is without a doubt the most well known song which is actually over 200 year old folk song
100 max, Veysel was born around 1894
@@BoringBrother58 I stand corrected but I’m happy with 130 years
This is not only a song. its kind of a philosophy.
"walking in an inn with two doors" :
the Inn is the metaphor of life. the Inn has 2 doors.
one of the door is birth and other one is death. "walking" is evolution of his soul.
"He is walking on, day and night".
day is happy moments, night is sad moments. or good/bad experiments.
"ever since the moment he came into this world, he began to WALK at the same time"
his soul evolution has started by his birth.
so and so...

tHERE ARE several different tuning scales of Baglama in turkish music.(More than 10) Acording to its style, region.type and modal scale but also the transpositions are avaliable to make in different tunes.
Merci pour votre ouverture d’esprit 🙏
Last old footage belongs to the owner of this song, Aşık Veysel is his name. He was very famous poet, He had lost his eyes because of an illness when he was a kid.
The clarinet used in this video made from glass. Tuned in G and Serkan Çağrı is a virtuoso.
we love both our nature and our poets very much...
There is a blind man in Turkey. A man born in the village. He is the creator of this work. The man at the end is that blind man. He is the creator of this song. His music is universal, his language is universal.
Takes strong will power to listen to Turkish music. Bravoooo
Aşık Veysel was a well known legendary "ozan"(Turkish 'troubadour'). He was a real genius.
R. I. P Aşık Veysel 'Baglama King'
The clarinet guy at 05:50 calles Serkan Çağrı, he discovered missing pitch on German Amati Denak clarinet and Amati revised its product and honoured him giving his name to that type
Thanks for your great reactions guys. 🙏😊
You can listen the band which is named Orphaned Land if you wanna to listen Bağlama and Guitar together in metal music. 😉
There are two types of binding types, short neck and long neck short binding tuning, lower string D middle string G upper string A Long neck binding tuning Lower string A middle string D upper string G
There are not one but 19 different tuning schemes in Turkish music. The most popular ones are Bozuk Düzen for instruments with a long fretboard and Bağlama düzeni for instruments with a shorter fretboard. There are many different sizes of bağlama. Depending on the instrument you have, you can tune it according to the list below. Your A1, A2, and A3 will depend on the size of your instrument. Hello, regarding to your question there are many tunning combinations depending the kind of music you wanna play, structure of the instrument (long neck, short neck) but if i have to answer your question as a standart tunning i d say thickker up 2 strings are b, middle 2 strings are a, and thinner blow 3 strings are e. Enough? No. No tunner is better than human ear so, you cant use tunner you must use a frequency generator app from app store. Tune middle a notes and use harmonics to get other strings tuned. Enough? No! What is the frequency of note a 440hz? No we use 444hz for a in Turkey. Do this techniq for any instrument then you are ready to play Turk music 100%. Cheers.
Botan BEYAZ - Makaveli (2pac) - Hail Mary (Cover)

You can use this app for baglama chord. "Bağlama tuner". Common chords like this D-G-A or in app like this RE-SOL-LA

There are so many youtubers who are sharing reaction videos but your channel is different and has more quality than others. Thus if you continue with Turkish videos you can get more popularity. please try to put Turkish subtitle on videos because we dont understand english.
My video reccommend is ''code orange - let me in'
I have hired a translator to transcribe all my videos in Turkish. She just started so give it a month or so and all my videos should have Turkish subtitles. Thanks for watching
@@ReyactionsTV So glad to hear that, great news. I love watching you without understanding, but it would be better with subtitles. we thank you
You are awesome guys. Thank you for all Turkish song reactions Just fun facts; feel free to not reading this letter "ğ". It has no sound in Turkish. It is called as "soft g". It makes little softer the letter that comes before it. When you say "bağlama", you can do it like this "baalama (make the "a" sound twice). "Yoğurt" as "Yoourt". You can read every other letter in Turkish alphabet, directly. ("ç" as "channel" 's "ch " sound, "ş" as "shame" 's "sh" sound). You have been taught whole Tr in one comment btw.
first 2 groups "G"
middle 2 groups "D"
bottom 3 group "A"
Tune carefully, don't break the strings 'cause they're delicate.
I hope one day in the future you will react to Aşık veysel.
He is the author and composer of this song.
Hahahaaa, bizim için herşey enstrüman. Seviyorum ülkemi. Çünkü gerçek müzik burada bence.
Super 👏👏👏👏👌🙏
3:44 This is the same vocalist in your reaction to Ünlü- Rüya. His name is Tayfun Ünlü
you asked for tuning the baglama ... the person who sang last was the one who composed and wrote this song and this horrible baglama 😁😁 was the tuning of this composer 😃😃
Nice as always guys. The bağlama pronunciation is ba- la-ma in English the ğ is silent, none the the less great effort my man.
What kind of an instrument is the "skin flute" (12:42) Rey? Neither heard of nore seen it before! Could you please inform me of it?
Müzik evrenseldir cümlesinin rm büyük kanıtı Doğa İçin Çal projesidir.
10:23 I’m dying 😂😂😂

Cool👍
04.37 back place sumela monastery in Trabzon.
The reason why there is no subtitle in the sign language part is because it is a repetition of the previous word. Still it should have. 😉

3:11 Bağlama notaları, evrensel müzikten biraz farklı. Notalar ALT Tel: RE, ORTA Tel SOL, ÜST Tel: LA.
