I was a flight mechanic for 23yrs and if you talk to the older and retired Captains they almost always favor the older more analog planes over the new ones. You feel more connected to the older planes, that you are really flying it and not just along for the ride. I have a 2015 Newmar LA and i like the analog gages over the digital. Mine have never gone out and they are much easier to t/s if i do have an issue. From the MX side there may be a few more moving parts and less computers (controllers)in an analog system but usually it is not as expensive to repair plus easier to repair. Just like cars today. I can repair every part of my 60 pontiac but other than changing the oil there’s not much else you can do to new cars. There’s something to be said about keeping things as simple as possible. I would definitely lean toward a coach that has more reliability over the bells and whistles.
You don’t need the most exotic materials. You need great looking materials that hold up over time.

Digital /Analog : Aerospace procurement true story. When the UH-60A Black Hawk helicopter went digital for the cockpit suite, the pilots hated it! With analog gauges they could tell at a glance the proper operating range but digital gauges required a pilot to read the gauge and then interpret whether that was a good number. The compromise was the accuracy of digital sensors fed to analog type readouts. That experience stayed with me so when Bradley said his emphasis is on analog and keeping things simple, I thought instantly of that personal experience and what it taught me about honing in on the customer's desires. Best of luck!

    That is some big news!
Some things I'd love to see 👇
    Lithium Ion Battery Banks
Solar w Solar Powered A/C Units (They do exist, and they ARE THE $H!T)
    High end interior finishes
High tech, but also user friendly and owner operator serviceable
Analog is cool, but still would be nice to have some wireless tech. Ie lighting, heat/ac, cameras, remote access monitoring/security, audio/video, etc.
    Basically, NON PROPRIETARY!!!
    CRESTRON SUCKS!
You already have the #1 chassis on the market, so its ALL ABOUT THE BUILD OUT 👍
Liberty Coach is always going to be the #1 for the top of the line fit and finish, but i believe Brad has a very strong point about the market gap and value friendly bus.
I cant wait to see what comes from this new venture!
I may need to get on that list of first owners! 🤔
    Great q&a video guys! 💯

Maybe you've heard me talk about the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail. Custom wood engine bay doors. And you build wood boats? I didn't know this. We are on the same wavelength. How about Rolls-Royce being a Part of your $5 million dollar + conversions? It's VERY possible. I've mentioned about 6 new ideas for a Prevost conversion that would blow your minds.
I shared one with Frank and never hear back. It's a no brainer, not difficult, and NEEDED. Put me to work. This I could get into for fun.... Rob.. Prevost Life.

The issue with technology is obsolescence. Especially in multi-million dollar pieces of equipment you need to balance convenience with longevity. What good is a system if it cannot be serviced once it is 8 or 10 years old? Create simple coaches that can withstand the test of time and you have a formula for success.

Who is going to maintain the coach across the country? Forest River doesn’t have the best rep when it comes to service after the fact. The MCS can only be so many places at one time. I know Brad will keep the customer service as best he can but I worry that Forest River corp may bring the MCS name down because of the product they produce. Newell, Liberty and Marathon have a very good reputation because of the company and how they stand behind their product. I wish you the best Brad and MCS.

That's great to hear that Brad is aiming for a more analog experience. However, I think it will prove to be more expensive to go analog than digital.
My preference for a coach would be manual handles on the bay doors, manual slides, manual seat and banquet operation. I understand that these things are very expensive and are expected to have all the electronic doodads and gadgets, but I would gladly do away with a lot of electronic operation items to save a bunch of money.
Also, I really wish somebody could figure out mid-entry with a prevost chassis. I believe the take rate and the Newell mid-entry model is approaching 60% now.

I still like some of the new technologies. Especially the lithium battery systems. The longer I can go on battery power the better. Solar panels on the roof and big inverters. But I don't need a 300-500k custom paint job. Sure it looks cool but it's just unnecessary to me. But I still do like modern interior design with quality materials inside. As l would expect with anything over 1+mil anyway. Can't wait to see how it develops.

Congratulación about Paladium!!! I believe that you should make some conversions to be family oriented, because if people would be able to spend more than a million and a half on a RV, I am sure they would love to bring them family or friends. Try to make it with many double beds possible, for at least 8 to 10 people to sleep, people love vacation with others. You can make beds over the driver head, bunker beds, and two double couches, also you can make a halve a bathroom on the back, and a full bathroom for everyone in the middle of the coach. That my thoughts. I which you very good luck with everything, and God bless.

I’m not sure about a Forest River conversion, but I’m damned sure not betting against Bradley Twait. Like the idea of simplicity…think modern day Royale except with a more modern interior. Brad nailed the commentary on this ridiculous market with truly ZERO justification for these increases other than there has been no competition at the lower end of price spectrum. Can’t wait to see how it unfolds.

Andrew, Brad, You hit it spot on!!!! The luxury motorhome business NEEDS a luxury NO NONSENSE motorhome stripped of the layers of extras and frills that ultimately cause people like myself to just give up and get out. I was in the motorhome world in a half million dollar Berkshire and with all due respect, after buying three of them over the span of 7 years, i can emphatically say they were all slapped together and were junk. I’ve been looking for a mechanically sound quality coach that isn’t an absolute technical nightmare! An awesome driving machine with the highest quality and minimum frills. Build a quality coach, no leaks, minimum extras, do what airstream does on your level and I’ll be a customer! I like what you said Brad!!! I’ll be watching the progress!

If money was no object, I’d love to approach an rv manufacturer like Newell and get them to build a bespoke fifth wheel. I haven’t seen anything on the market that has a belly full of battery packs being towed by a Tesla semi yet. It’s definitely the future!

Be careful what you wish for. A battery fire will destroy everything you own, and there is no way that a Battery powered semi is ever going to replace good old diesel performance and length of travel. I'm pretty sure most truck drivers would retire if the battery semi is really tried in the market. I like my Cummins X15 and 110 gal of diesel.

Great video Andrew. It's very comforting to hear Brad's approach to the new Palladium PREVOST. One of my biggest gripes about many of the high end coaches with all the latest technology is that like you say, just more things to break and maintain. I don't need air actuated doors etc. The big problem with all of the new high tech products is that they become obsolete almost over night and/or the companies either go out of business or quit supporting that technology and then you're stuck with having to figure out how to replace and retrofit something different. Those customers with the very deep pockets that can upgrade their coaches every few year don't have to be concerned about obsolescence however the poor souls that buy their trade ins end up with the problems down the road. It will be interesting to see how this new converter does. I sure like the idea of getting back to the basics.

interesting news about a new Prevost converter. I hear Brad on being more analog, but i think it will be difficult. I personally like the standard gauge Prevost Bus dash. I don't need to throw that out to make me happy. Good mirrors, good cameras. i am with Andrew on the 2 bathroom thing. His and hers. i would love a hall bath with a shower and a urinal. big bathroom for the wife. build a motorhome without a generator. Give it enough solar and battery for traveling and stops on the side of the road. most probably camp with full hook-up anyway. i don't need air doors either. doorknob is just fine. give me more than 2 beds. I go to the Nascar races with 2 buddies. I do not want to snuggle with them. a king size bed sleeps one! build a dining area for fully grown adults. most dinettes are good for 4 children, but not for more than 2 adults. we cook outside, i don't need a 8 foot kitchen on the inside. give me a real fridge, it does not have to be a subzero, either. make sure i can cook outside, i like charcoal. i need a place to stick the grill. i love the Liberty paintjobs, but i will be fine with a coach that is black..... or blue. i don't care if the guy one coach over has the same color leather sofa, either. There is potential to deliver high quality without my own personal architect designing my throw pillows.

I only hope this isn’t the straw that broke the camel’s back!

Would definitely be interested in a 2-story Prevost conversion, maximizing length and height for both floors. What Im picturing is something great for the whole family, long-term travel, with add-on pet options (cats and dogs). While Anderson is great at what they do, the aesthetics and furnishings are nowhere near the Liberty or Newell Coach level.
A sky lounge is a great idea, and this can feature lounging furniture, hot tub and cold plunge.
Id also like to see a Prevost Conversion setup like a Spacecraft or Brinkley Toy Hauler Fifth Wheel, incorporating the living quarters and the Stacker toy hauler garage.
Finally, nobody in this space provides a Fitness Center floorplan option, that can utilize fold out racks, free weights, functional equipment, etc.

Prevost priorities: QUIET (generator) QUIET (down the road). QUIET (isolated from outside noise) INSULATED so it cools and heats easily. Shouldn’t need 4 units to cool it down even in 100 degree heat. Tank sizes. 250 fresh. 250 combined with bypass. COMFORT. Lounge-like comfort. Couch potato inducing, isolated from the elements…the hot, the cold, the noise…pull down the shades and feel like you’re in a heavenly cocoon…sink into the furniture (not sit on it like it’s a director’s chair)…COMFORT. You don’t need “tech” to produce this. RELIABILITY. You should not have to generate a three page list following a 3 week excursion. Chef option with a gas range (two burner would be fine) (I had a 24” four burner commercial oven/range in my last build. There’s nothing like the smell of cookies, or meat sauce, or a slow cooking roast to make you feel like you’re in a home) but ONLY if you can achieve PROPER hood venting. Big screen TV’s in lounge and BR. This can be done for $1.6. Tour bus paint, not the “I have to run from high end resort to high end resort without stops because of the “murder me now” $250k+ paint jobs that scream “I’m rich and you’re a looser” where ever you go. Not that I have opinions…but I did put 350k miles on two truck conversion in about 14 years. I’d love to get into a Prevost that did something other than look pretty and cost money every time I look at it…I’d like to RUN it…Good luck!

Great to see Brad/AJ continuing to innovate and growing the capabilities of the The Motorcoach Store! Andrew, as usual, you did a great job navigating the extemporaneous challenges of a live interview with a plethora of topics and twists and turns. Thanks to both! 😊

Brad if you want your first inputs. Talk to your best techs. They know what it is like to repair these coaches. Next talk to your parts people, they know what ,where and when they get parts.

Brad great approach to your new line. People are only looking for a coach that breaks less. Not as complicated yet have the features of a touch of luxury. I also say create some that are family friendly. God Speed.

Went looking at different rv's yesterday, and they started off in the 900,000 range. You really have to look at the horrible depression on this. You can have a beautiful home for that amount of money that will increase in value.

I would like something that I can take off road, or gravel roads. Put a large winch in the front for muddy roads.

Loving the desire to really detail them. Loving how you are getting into other sides of business as well in Prevost conversion and vans...wonderful video.
