I was taught to tie ON the splint - NOT on the injured leg itself, as demonstrated here as such would cause more pain than necessary to the patient. They also taught us to pass the ties out from under the knee, to THEN gently pull these in position once ties are under the patient’s leg, as there is more space under the knee, it being naturally curved, and this does NOT require us to move the patient’s leg at all. Yup I was disappointed they didnt make it very realistic. They didnt even take off the guys shoes to check pulse.
