This is probably my all time favorite Oak's song. I asked him to sing this song at a concert that I went to of theirs when I around 14-15 years old. Richard Sterban touched my hand and I floated all the way back to my seat.
Richard is not only a great bass singer but he is really a humble person and one of the nicest people you'll ever meet... and a great baseball fan! Of course all of these guys are very personable and nice in their own individual way. As Richard explains so well here, their success has been very much a team effort.
Richard is my favorite Oak. I love his bass voice. I just saw the Oaks a few hours ago. Great concert. It was short because they were kinda music act for about an hour. I would had loved to hear Dream On again. This was my second time seeing them in concert. The first was in October 2003. Richard brought chills down my spine when he sung this.
man the power in his voice is amazing i have a video sorta like this with a awesome interview at his home and how he trains his voice its so rare and cant be copied or anything i ll try to get it on here

Richard was NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT trained by JD. He is far better and he STAYS ON PITCH. If you'd pay attention to the techniques JD does and the techniques Richard does, you'd see that they are different.
All i am going to say is ......Sterban can warm a snowy night with that bass,and the others are amazing too. Thanks for the memories 😅!!❤
I have known Richard since 1970, he is really a down to Earth person.
His deep voice in talking and singing is really nice!!!
Richard Sterban has one of the best lead (solo) voices you will ever find. So much note control, no wavering, always mellow.
