    Hey guys! What do you think of the Vega-Trem? Should I do more reviews? Should I just shut up and play my guitar? Should I go to Qdoba or Chipotle for dinner?

      I would have picked Qdoba anyway. Hell yeah, brother.

    I bought a vega trem and fitted it to a partscaster I was building and I echo your experience. It's the best trem I've ever used. Paired with a Graphtech nut and Locking tuners it's as stable under crazy abuse as the Floyd rose on my Ibanez RG570 which I can hold by the trem and the headstock and give it Crossroads shakes and it stays in tune.
    I expect the same would be true of the Vega Trem. It also feels much better than the Floyd Rose. ZERO slop so you can at last approach Beck stuff like "Where were you?" The control it gives you is on another level to any other trem I've played.
    Hard recommend.
    Luv and Peace.

    Great review, I am considering this trem for one of my Kotzen strats, looks pretty well made in the photos I’ve seen, 👍

    Hi Alex! How does the Vega trem compare to the Gotoh 510 tonally? I know that it stays in tune even better than the 510 but is it as good tonally? Btw is this a Warmoth neck? Also, what pickups are you using? All the best, George

    • @alexiosanest
      @alexiosanest  8 місяців тому

      I don’t notice a difference in tone. Warmoth neck, vintage noiseless pickups

  • @autumnonawhim

    I know this video is over a year old, but do you remember if the string spacing the same as a vintage strat trem? One thing that bugs me about mine is how easily the high E slips off of the neck, and I'm curious if it's the same with the vegatrem. Great demo btw:)

    • @alexiosanest
      @alexiosanest  9 місяців тому

      I am pretty sure it is the same since it is made to replace the strat trem, but I have never had that issue

    This Is Great!!! Floyd roses are cool but their such a pain sometimes, I’ve read that this trem works on most guitars but does it work on Jackson guitars?

    • @alexiosanest
      @alexiosanest  Рік тому

      They are mainly used in place of strat trems, Floyds are routed different so I am not sure it would work, but you should reach out to them to find out

    Hey Alexios I don’t know if you’re up for doing collabs but there’s this other guitar youtuber named Cameron Cooper and he’s kind of like the reincarnation of Eddie Van Halen and I’ve always seen you as the reincarnation of Yngwie Malmsteen so I think it would be super cool if you guys did some kind of a video together.

    What's your bridge pickup in that white Strat? It sounds sick!

    • @alexiosanest

      I can’t remember if I still had the furies or vintage noiseless when I recorded this, but either way I find them to have a similar tone, stacked single coils

    s setting the action the same as old style or different. I’ve been using the babicz full contact trem but been thinking of getting something easier to set action on but like getting by action pretty low

    Raised the pitch a 4th G-C I think. You can do that on a Floyd, but I've personally never had the guts to do it on my Ibanez RG550! lol Do you use locking tuners though, or are they conventional ones?

    • @ClintGilbert5
      @ClintGilbert5 6 місяців тому

      from what i hear locking tuners don't do much for tuning stability. there more for easier string changes.

    • @Anton_the_Vampire
      @Anton_the_Vampire 6 місяців тому

      @ClintGilbert5 A good locking nut on a Floyd helps stability a LOT.

    How do you set it if you want it to bottom out on a full step like on the standard fender one' resting on the body at full step?

    • @alexiosanest
      @alexiosanest  6 місяців тому

      Not possible, it is completely floating in both directions, no contact with the body

      I originally did have them on this guitar, but they were a bit clunky. The plastic are much easier to do volume swells on

    • @Augrills
      @Augrills 10 місяців тому

      @@alexiosanest I got some chrome painted plastic ones off Amazon cause I did almost the exact mods you with chrome hardware and did pickup covers too. The seller is called Metallor if you would like something like that that feels stock but cool colors. The white looks good too, though. That strat is my favorite guitar and yours is a beauty too. I had my vegatrem delivery come today and I got it installed and pretty level floating but struggling with string height and intonation. You sound so good it’s got me inspired to keep working on it cause it’s such a fluid sounding tremolo. Liking and subscribing cause you’re cool, man

    But how far will it flick out picks into the audience? Can you reach the back row?? 🤣🤣

      That might require a pick kick, but one thing is certain, no one in the front row is safe! 🤣🤘💪

    • @alexiosanest

      It definitely does, but not as intensely as an ibanez or floyd due to its smaller size
