Would a little Gorilla Glue prevent pass-through and also prevent the end from coming off? By gluing the end to the dart it should prevent that from happening.
I seen they were selling a reel but couldn't find one set up. I set mine up like yours or the one you are using . Still got to figure out what size line to use think I ordered 9 strand 14 lb test.

I put my string through the cap then tie it to the blow dart shaft. When you have a pass through the cap stays on the string
