- Description from Wikipedia
Spider-Man is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko, he first appeared in the anthology comic book Amazing Fantasy #15 (July 31st 1962) in the Silver Age of Comic Books. He has been featured in comic books, television shows, films, video games, novels, and plays.
Spider-Man's secret identity is Peter Benjamin Parker. Initially, Peter was depicted as a teenage high-school student and an orphan raised by his Aunt May and Uncle Ben in New York City after his parents Richard and Mary Parker died in a plane crash. Lee and Ditko had the character deal with the struggles of adolescence and financial issues and gave him many supporting characters, such as Flash Thompson, J. Jonah Jameson, and Harry Osborn; romantic interests Gwen Stacy, Mary Jane Watson, and the Black Cat; and enemies such as the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, and Venom. In his origin story, Spider-Man gets his superhuman spider-powers and abilities after being bitten by a radioactive spider. These powers include superhuman strength, agility, reflexes, stamina, durability, coordination, and balance; clinging to surfaces and ceilings like a spider; and detecting danger with his precognition ability called "spider-sense". He builds wrist-mounted "web-shooter" devices that shoot artificial spider-webs of his own design, which he uses both for fighting and for web-swinging across the city. Peter Parker originally used his powers for his own personal gain, but after his Uncle Ben was killed by a thief that Peter could not stop, he began to use his powers to fight crime by becoming Spider-Man.

Paul feels bad about genocide the same way a little kid feels bad about dropping their grandmothers recently bought vase.
"NO DONT PUNISH ME I SAID I WAS SORRY! 😭"
I really hate how MJ compared that to Peter feeling bad about uncle Ben.
In what world does that make sense?
@@SilentSnake1998 I don't condone abuse on women
*Sees how MJ compared Peter's loss to Paul's act of genocide*
But then again...
@@SilentSnake1998a video I watched where Morrigan (the succubi from knight stalkers) says it best when she roasts Paul: “Peter deals with cosmic threats whilst you struggle with IKEA furniture”
It perfectly encapsulates the two’s difference if you couldn’t tell already.
Peter is the one who tried to keep order and be better and make others better he’s gotten hit so many times it’s an act of god he manages to get back up.
And Paul? There’s he hasn’t got anything on Peter sure he created that thing for MJ but he doesn’t know shit on the things Peter has been through it’s like saying an average US civilian had the same childhood as the Average child of Sparta the simple answer is there’s no way on Earth you can compare the two and I’m utterly confused as to how MJ compares Paul the Peter Parker.
@@obolstudios5154 Couldn’t have said it better myself. And it gets insane when you realize how much MJ herself truly understood Peter, and how they both respected each other. But as soon as zeb wells was handed that pen and paper, all of that went away in a blink.
Even Thanos couldn’t have erased characters that fast
Paul bizarrely feels like a author self insert character designed to show up the ACTUAL main character. Just to drive up conflict for drama, just because.
I agree with driving up conflict for drama, but I don't agree with the self-insert part. I just believe he's just there and that writing and editorial really don't give any thoughts about him other than making him go through motions.
I absolutely hate conflict that feels unnecessary, stuff like love triangles, misunderstandings, and characters who’s entire existence is just so the main character and love interest can't be together. Every time I see these tropes, it always fails because of lazy writing or every character ends up worse afterwards.
Because he is a self insert.... Zeb Wells is divorced.
@@ballisticdestroyer2744 dang did the guy need to make himself look like an even BIGGER incel?
@@ballisticdestroyer2744bro got dumped than married MJ, or is he self inserting is trauma on Peter because he hates himself
I found out that zeb wells was going through a divorce in 2022 to 2023 and this all makes so much fucking sense now this man is taking his shit out on peter
I keep forgetting about what Paul looked like in the other universe. How does he go from Hulk to Bruce Banner? It's like he shrinks six inches as well. They're practically different people.
This issue just proves that Wells Hates Peter Parker and is going out of his way to make his life miserable even if it doesn't make any sense in his own damn book! MJ and Paul have no chemistry and their whole relationship comes off as Stockholm Syndrome, but Peter comes off as the bad guy simple because Wells want it to happen but forgot to set it up properly so really all he's doing is ruining his own credibility and making everyone hate MJ.
And some people actually call Peter an "incel" for being angry at Paul and "Jackpot MJ", it's not being an incel, if anything.. it was all done without Spidey's consent, literally being pushed through a portal, confronting annoying hero allies, coming back too late to discover she cheated on him with Paul and had kids with him, and dares to even say that it's all her choice and bla bla bla even though Paul started the whole mess.
@@patrickmcguire7896 i'm dead serious, literally everything was caused by paul so the whole "MJ/Jackpot choosing something herself", argument is void/invalid.
So when are they gonna reveal Paul is some type of synthetic creation of mysterio or the green goblin or somebody made to mess with spider man?
Part of Mephisto's illusion.
We are stuck in One More Day.
And outside of this imaginary world, Spidey is fighting the Avengers, while MJ is desperately trying to get through to him and break Mephisto's hold over his mind.
Luckily, Peter never succumbed to Mephisto's tricks just yet....
So he is subconsciously holding back.
Hopefully by September.
Pretty much this
Mary Jane used to worry about Peter/Spider-Man and listen to his concerns and opinions because he is undeniably one of the smartest characters in marvel, and easily one of the smartest she knows. Mary Jane flat out not caring about how Peter feels then trying to act like it’s not her fault when she KNEW he loved her and would come to save her?
We need a comic of Peter just cutting Mary Jane out of his life. But I doubt the writers would make her try to reflect on why.
You realize MJ is being intentionally written out of character by a writer that doesn't like her? If you want to give up on her, and want Peter to cut her out of his life, you're doing exactly what Zeb Wells and Nick Lowe want.
Paul even had a hair bun at one time!
In my opinion, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. did a better "Longtime love interest to a main character gets with another character while separated from the main character they still have feelings for" plotline. When Simmons and Will got trapped in a pocket dimension (I think) together, she survived with and eventually fell in love with him but he ended up dying.
For context: Much like multiple versions of Peter & MJ, the scientist duo Fitz/Simmons had been close friends & colleagues for years. When Fitz realized he loved her but she didn't feel the same (yet), he couldn't work with her anymore and almost left the team. They reconicled after a while, but it was tough for Fitz to swallow the feelings he still had.
It hurt him to be around her but not truly be with her. Nonetheless, he stayed because they were both very important members of their team and he didn't want to lose the closest friend he'd ever had (I've been there, very relatable). Over time, Simmons started to have a change of heart but was slow to act on it because she was similarly afraid.
Then, when it looked like they might have a chance at a romance, something always seemed to keep them apart. After years of her not reicprocating his feelings and then finally warming up to it, after Fitz risked his life to get her back to Earth, learning about the whole Will relationship was the biggest emotional nut punch. It was like he'd lost her all over again.
Only this time, it was worse because she was right in front of him. The most infuriating part was, Fitz couldn't even hate Will. Not only was he the reason Simmons lived long enough to make it back home. He was a sincerely good person (as Fitz found out after researching him) who "did everything right". Fitz couldn't disrespect a dead man's memory.
Simmons counters, "And you flew through a hole in the universe for me", unable to deny that she reciprocates Fitz's love, and they kiss for the first time (if I recall correctly). But Fitz feels so defeated and knows Simmons still holds Will in her heart. He comes to believe the two of them are "cursed", that the universe is against them and it's better for everyone if they just stop fighting it. This went on for some years, and Fitz tragically died during a story arc in an alternate future.
After the team gets him back through some time travel shenanigans (I'm pretty sure it was the same Fitz), Simmons gradually let Will go, having learned after Fitz's shortlived absence that she loved him more. Toward the series' finale, they officially became a couple despite having an episode of being locked in some kind of mind trap where they each faced their worst fears & insecurities. It was the ultimate test of their relationship where they saw into each other's minds.
This included learning intimate details about one another, some of which were uncomfortable. After some struggles with trust, rekindled doubts about their romance, and arguing over what to do, their mutual love allowed them to conquer their prison and escape. They were pretty consistently good after that and had a child together in the last season. Overall, while their arc was convoluted and dragged out, I think it was miles better than Marvel's handling of Spider-Man, MJ, and Paul.
how much longer do we have to deal with Zeb Wells
I'm just struggling to understand how a normal person even manages to hit Peter. A normal, untrained person hitting Peter. Isn't Spider-Man's biggest quirk his spidey-senses which, correct me if I'm wrong, kick in as a natural reflex and even makes Peter dodge involuntarily?
Not only that but if you did hit him it would be like punching a steel wall
Writers have peter be happy challenge level impossible, i swear this has to be a fetish for some of th writers at this point
I wouldn't be surprised if it was a comic writer self inserting themself into the comic as "Paul"
Zeb Wells' wife ended their relantionship months before he wrote spiderman😂
He was in Spiderman 3
“Everything okay here, Paul?” 😂
We have to remember that Paul ancestor was the one who started this mess and not once did they call him out for it. The entire line is a mess and read more like a terrible fanfic with the inconsistencies it has.
Paul's reason why his Earth got destroyed.
He plan it all.
mephisto
And home lander can’t even beat him.
Remember Carlie Cooper?
Paul is the worst character. The reason why marvel comics wont see a penny from me.
Marvel; from Comic Gods into Comic Gooses. Being arrogant and chasing people for petty reasons!
Peter should rat him out to shield i'm sure they'd be very paranoid with someone whose very much capable of wiping out the world.
Whole thing would have been better if it was revealed Paul and the kids were skrulls.
Paul was introduced around the same time as the second secret invasion.
Cant forgive MJ just want her and paul gone
@@roboticfish317 I’m still waiting for marvel to throw their hands up and make peter’s final love a cloned amalgamation of Peter’s past loves.

or paul actually being mysterio in disguise toying with peter mind again but let's be honest MJ is now a fucking bitch
Paul doesn't matter. His entire purpose was done as soon as Dead Language was published and they had MJ choose him over Peter, something she would never do. At this point he could disappear withotu a word and it wouldn't matter, the damge woudl be done. He represents everything wrong with the volume, but sadly even getting rid of him solves nothing.
Proper disposal of him in the right manner can save things.
Him being Mephisto's illusion, along with everything else that went since one more day would be a great soft reboot for 616 spidey.
Him being a skrull could result in MJ just being mind-controlled. And not being a promiscous TWA......
Him being the final villain that actually destroyed the reality and is just torturing Spider-man in a fake one because Spider-Man still has Uni-force and can't truly die would make it a great ending to 616 Spidey with a possible reboot. And it would make me happy to see that Soyjack-faced asshat receive some Captain Universe Spider-man punches to his ugly-a$$ face!
Remember that weird moment when it implied paul couldnt "perform"? It felt like the editors were trying to say "DON'T WORRY FANS MARY-JANE ISNT SLOPPY SECONDS! SEE? PAUL CAN'T GET IT UP! THAT MAKES HER GOOD TO GET BACK WITH PETER LATER!"
Why does Mj made Peter realize that Paul was like him!!!??? Paul should have let Peter hit him, I mean he ask Peter to just hit him. Just to let it all out but NO!!! Paul instead hit PETER and MJ didn’t even call Paul off!!? 🤦♂️🤦♂️, like I am so frustrated at why the writers made Paul into this type of person 😡😡.
One thing I will justify with Peter in this run is the whole calling MJ a sister to him, its just him trying to move on, and then Black Cat immediately calls him on that bullshit knowing Peter is lying to himself
No, that is just insane.
It sounds more like he’s trying to desperately get over her. Which TOAA bless this man’s poor soul he’s desperately tried multiple times. Something MJ knows for a fact, which only makes me hate this run even more.
Marvel editorials should been very highly ashamed of themselves.
The Spider-Man comics seem to be ruined forever after One More Day, but only Jonathan Hickman's Ultimate Spider-Man comics are the only good thing that Spider-Man fans will thrived for than Amazing Spider-Man comics!
You know the artists must hate him too cause they really made his face to look like something you want to punch.
Paul looks like Zeb Wells. It's one of the main reasons people call him a self-insert. I think there was other stuff going on in Zeb's life that has been connected to the overall problem.
@@bryanwoods3373 I’ve seen images of zeb wells and he doesn’t look like zeb wells, even when zeb had his hair short.
They never really established MJ and Paul's relationship.
They got isolated and stuck together for a long time, while having to take care of a couple of kids.
That feels like they ended up together out of convenience and obligation.
I mean, do they even like each other all that much?
Them being nice to each other occasionally doesn't really help the readers accept their relationship over the much deeper one MJ had with Peter.
They share a bed… there’s no way to even try to get around that.
Honestly looks like a case of stockholm syndrome instead of a somewhat positive relationship.
In the time they were together Mary Jane hardly ever supported Peter as Spider-Man let alone tried to preserve his feelings but Paul, she cheated, hurt Peter and destroyed his life a dozen times over for him
when you said Incest i was worried Peter was in love with Teresa Parker(a sister i would've preferred was not of blood but stayed a "foster sister" of sorts), but gladly its just a less weird MJ Editorial decision while still being weird enough.
How to make MJ and Paul’s relationship a bit more interesting is to maybe make Paul into an actual villain and MJ still liking him?
I hate MJ, so I hope she stays away from Pete for a while. But why not make MJ into a villain along side Paul. Like a couple villain duo. And eventually kill them off so I don’t ever need to see either one of them again.
No, MJ would be horrified if Paul is a villain.

I can't believe they made Peter into incest.

WHAT THE CUCK IS GOING ON
The one person NO ONE would care about if Spider-Man decided to just shoot him with a literal gun. Best way to fix him is to make him Mephisto, and have Peter beat him and undo One More Day. THAT would get people to care. Everything is just a Mephisto driven illusion that tries to gaslight Peter and MJ into not liking each other, and THEN have them figure it out and they overcome it together. There you go. That's how you fix Spider-Man. Now we have to detour to yet ANOTHER universe where they are married with kids just to actually care. MC2, Renew Your Vows, Life Story, and the new Ultimate Spider-Man series understood Peter and MJ more than the main continuity. It's just sad.
I am not.
Paul and woke Velma really fighting over who can piss off the internet faster.
Don't worry they will Kill Paul off at some point, Any of the Spider man characters always have to have some tragedy happen. Aunt May, Mary Jane, Gwen Stacy it never ends well.
If there's a Deadpool and Spiderman multiverse hopping movie I hope there's a scene where Deadpool shoots Paul.
Wait why does Paul feel like a shitter version of batmite just there to take up space
This is 100% calculted. It has to be. Marvel is making Paul this despicable and pretending they havent noticed. Something must be coming that will make this all payoff
I hate MJ way more than paul tbh
Bitch keeps getting away with it, Peter these hoes ain't loyal
Hopefully the next write who take over, fix this huge mistake, am I hope my boy spidey don’t comeback with MJ toxic ex GF? No thank you, on to the next
I would've written Paul as some guy that Mary Jane spent time with in the other dimension but she chooses to take the route of "what happened in the other dimension stays in the other dimension". XD
I don't care
