The problem is slot thinking he knows better then klopp. Rotation has always been vital in klopps coaching career. The reason why the subs made no effect is because they've played about 90 minutes of football in 4 games.
Lots to pick out from this performance today, but I think a lot of team’s faults from Klopp’s tenure are still persisting now, which is okay because it’s only the early stages of this new-look Slot team. For starters, I like the direction we are heading with the more controlled approach, but I still see us reverting to that chaotic style when we are pressed or playing a physical side. Today was not a personnel issue, it was a mentality issue. There was a clear lack of composure in our decisions today. I think Macca and Gravenberch were good again, and looked to control the game, but Dominik, Mo, and Trent forced far too many passes and it ruined the sustained pressure we attempted to build. I think Dom struggles in these tight matches where he has little room to run. This was definitely more of a Harvey Elliott match, which makes the timing of his injury even more unfortunate. The last fifteen minutes of the first half were solid, and I expected us to improve on that in the second half, but we didn’t. I think the substitutions made us worse. Macca and Diaz were two of our better players today, and taking the risk of moving Trent into midfield was not smart considering the circumstances. I won’t question Slot as a tactician, but I firmly believe Trent is not a midfielder. He takes far too many risks in possession, and lack the awareness and tight control of an elite midfielder. A lot of his passes didn’t connect today, and when the special passes aren’t working, he needs to keep things simple and build confidence amongst himself and his teammates. We look so much better when we collect ourselves and play with more composure. I do not want to come across as reactionary, because these are opinions I have held for years, but I do not think Gakpo is an elite-level winger. Sure, he plays great there for his national team, but there is a big gap in quality between the NT level and the Prem. He lacks that explosive speed and 1v1 ability of a Diaz or Doku, which is why I am happy we brought in a more traditional winger like Chiesa. I am still a fan of Gakpo, and think he is good as a false-9/roaming 8/10. Besides the United game, we haven’t had one good first half of football this season. It really makes you wonder if the United game was a masterclass, or just a one-off. I still think we’re heading in the right direction, though, and these are the growing pains that will come under a new manager who is looking to implement his style. We struggled in these types of matches during the entire Klopp tenure, so I hope Slot can find a solution to these types of opponents. I can definitely see us returning for Zubimendi in January, because his profile could definitely help our team gain more control of the ball. That being said, Macca and Grav have been excellent this season, so I really can’t complain.
Honestly, I agree with everything you said. It feels like the players revert back to Klopp's style of football in these types of games and forget what the coach wants to implement. It's still early though, so I get that games like this can happen. Onwards and upwards hopefully!
I´m not sure I agree with you about Gakpo working as a CF. I mean he is functional but beomces basicly a placeholder. He doesnt have the magic feet and brain of Firmino that made th f9 thing work, but neither does he have the elite movement of Nunez that gets him chances from Trent and Salah or the instinctive finsihing of Jota. Unfortunatley I´m not certain he is that good of a winger of us long term either. And we´ve seen him in midfield. Not to keen on seeing it again because he is lost there. Agree with the rest you said though
@@Alexander-kc8oqGakpo could play a false-nine role under Slot in a different way Klopp used Firmino. Slot does like his nine to drop and link play at times, but also pull out wide to confuse defenses. I think he could do well in that role he was used in against Ipswich. I still think Gakpo is a situational player. He suits certain matches, but he struggles against physical opponents like Forest.
As a Forest supporter since early 70s it’s about time we had a win at Anfield; but no matter what anyone says about Liverpools performance, this was a masterclass of tactics by Nuno; we restricted Liverpool to one chance which was the mistake by Yates; and then there was the fumble by Matt Sells but other than that there weren’t any BIG chances. Then we changed it up with pace on the wings which bought us the goal; it may have stayed 0-0 had Slott not moved TRent AA into midfield, but all in all great tactics from Nuno; we have built a bigger squad now with cover everywhere and the ability to make changes and have different plans for all opponents; ok we won’t win the league but we really are a squad that only needs a couple more players and we will be challenging for Europe - if we had got a striker with pace and the ability to hold the ball we’d get more possession - so here’s a msg to the BIG 6, don’t think you have a god given right to beat the SMALLER clubs as one or two have ambition.
Slot made mistakes first with the team selection. It’s always easier saying that after a loss but the team he picked, had players who were playing in midweek. He should have started Nunez. Give other players a break. Second mistake was not changing it sooner with his subs. The game was dull as Forest wanted. Throwing TAA in midfield felt desperate as well. Give credit to yous for your work rate off the ball and the goal though. NF worked hard and wanted it more. Liverpool weren’t good on the day.
Just a bad day all round. The passing was off, a lack of urgency once we went a goal down, the subs had little impact. Hopefully, Slot will learn from this situation because other managers will have! All credit to Forest, they executed their gameplan well, they done a number on us.
I saw a lot of bad habits from the Klopp tenure today. The casual carelessness on the ball, the stupid risks with the ball, the flimsy 50/50 challenges from the usual suspects, the heads dropping when the tide is against us. Maybe the team selection was wrong or maybe the tactics were wrong, but it wouldn't have mattered what Slot did when the players turned up with that kind of attitude. It was the same old arrogant compacency we've come to know since 2020.
In the same way we shouldn’t have got carried away with the first 3 wins, we should also not get too carried away with today’s loss. A poor day at the office, but Slot will learn from this. Hopefully just an anomaly
This whole game felt like Klopp era problems. It's the same story every season, Liverpool lose to a low-block. Perfect game for Elliot, this game wasnt suited for Szobo, he's just not that type of Foden-esque or Bellingham or even Odegaard type player, unfortunately Elliot was out. Salah also almost always struggles in these type of games, a conversation needs to be had about that. However my silver lining from this game is that these aren't Slot era problems so I trust that we will see him implement his mindset and vision into the team and inevitably the tactics will follow
I think this season is an acid test for a lot of players. Would have liked more rotation in the squad. Tactics were exploited a bit but the lack of execution in the plan b was messy
I think Szobo doesn't know what to do in this system. His work rate is great but going forward he always seems lost. I also think this is where it's gonna be nice to have Chiesa for when Salah is underperforming. All in all though, we had good chances, and their goal came from a perfect counter that could have easily failed. It's disappointing but we move
It’s not the system, it’s him. I rate him highly, but he suits a specific game. He likes to run into space, and Forest didn’t give us that space. Harvey Elliott suits these types of games far better.
A player that definitely needs more scrutiny. He needs to man up and impose himself on the game and not in an arrogant, cocky way. The foolishness he done in the box against Man Utd still irks me.
Best players: Ali and Grav Worst: Szobo and Salah I hope Slot learns from this - in this league sometimes you have to win ugly. We were missing spirit today IMO.
Good point. It’s all well and good wanting to play a certain way but Liverpool didn’t take the game by the scruff of the neck. Second ball’s weren’t won and tackles didn’t exist in midfield. Liverpool just didn’t click. It happens but it’s a slight worry how poor they were.
Going forward was not great today missed placed passes , passes behind the player instead of in front of the play poor decisions from Dom and Mo in attack. The goal was great goal for forest but we defended well for the most part. Didnt notice any of the traits from the other 2 games, just seemed like Liverpool players didn’t know what to do.
Well I’ve seen a few analysis videos of how good a tactician slot is over the international break that no one can live with him. Then this happens 😂. Gutted but hopefully it’s a one off 🤞🏻
It took Jurgen a minute to create a plan for the low block too. When they announced Slot’s hire my first thought was what is his plan for the low block? It is a little worrying but Slot seems proactive so hopefully he’ll work it out. Hudson’s goal was exceptional or it might’ve been a draw or even a 1-0 win.
It may just be me, but Slot seems to be discouraging shots from outside the box. I don't see how we're going to break through the low block when teams know they're safe if they just sit deep. Today felt like two seasons ago before we got Maca and Szoboszlai.
We didn't change that much with maccaroni and szob. Our shooting from outside is so infrequent and mainly because we are not very good at it. This is the way we play. And have done for years. The lack of good shots is one of the main reasons I haven't enjoyed watching Liverpool. We are just so predictable.
This is the answer to the previous commenter. It looks like Szobo and Macca are not encouraged to shoot from the distance. They want to stay on the pitch and follow direction. Those who should score like Salah and Jota didn't perform. Szobo does what he is being told because he wants to play.
@zoltanobru9274 The only reason I mentioned it is because I at times see Maca, Gravenberch, and Szoboszlai on the edge of the box, cocking the canons, and they seem to hesitate. Those players all have immediate direct-to-goal instincts, so I can only hope Slot isn't trying to redirect their instinctual style of play. He found a way to unlock Gravenberch and Diaz. I just hope he can do the same for Maca and Szoboszlai. Meh, I'm a couch coach 30 years removed from having played, so perhaps any fears I might have are completely groundless.
Think Forest may have have had fourteen players away on international duty..goes with the territory for Prem. quality players and an excellent coach at the City Ground..All the best in Europe
We needed a false9 like Gakpo to receive the ball before playing it to Salah,Jota didn't read the game well and kept sitting deep with the defense comfortable.Slots mistake is he doesn't rate Endo hence the mistake moving Trent infield.Endo would've push more creativity Macca and Gravy up the pitch for shots on goal.
I fully expected, or at least feared, this performance once I saw the team selection. You simply cannot play so many players who had played 2 full games in a week to do anything else. Really stupid and arrogant team selection. The double whammy is now that he has played his ‘first XI’ into the ground, we can expect no better in Milan. Really angry.
The bottom line was poor final passes from solid players. We got thru the midfield fairly easily but blew it every time. Forest had their one superb strike that tucked in neatly. It turned out to be the winner. We go again. Just a reminder-in our 2019-20 season on the way to the Title, Watford put three past us w/o reply.
I think Slot underestimated the effects international duty would have on the players involved. While the medical department might deem them physically fit for the match, many of our players seemed to be mentally exhausted from playing and travelling.
I think the biggest problem came after we made the changes around the 60th minute. First, when Maca was substituted, there was a hole in the left side of the pitch. Second, the experiment with Trent was a disaster in terms of the balance in the team. In my opinion when he played deeper after Bradley came on, Gravenberch wasn't as effective. Then he played a further up the pitch and Szobo wasn't to be seen . Then Trent tried to help the right side, Bradley didn't know what to do, so very often he (Bradley) tried to do some runs behind the defence, but the service was poor and without a second CB Van Dijk needed to collect the ball all by himself and cover the whole width of the pitch. At the end we ended up giving like 100 throw ins, because neither of our fullbacks is an extraordinary defender and unfortunately in that situation and system that was the best they could do. At the end I think that Slot needs to figure out what clicks and what not in terms of the balance in the team.
What have I been saying about Szoboszlai week after week I keep it real but toxic positivity has seen my opinion shunned. I kept saying it because the day we play bad it’ll be costly and also worse. Which it was. Also, Salah was just awful no running past people as always so now we reflect on what he’s good at passes not today, shooting no, control no. Really bad from him.
I really didn’t think we looked threatened defensively we were really good in defending their transitions very quickly. The issue I had when around the 65th minute we started visibly getting frustrated and panicking, they started rushing things in a chaotic manner and started committing players forward uncontrollably. This shouldn’t happen when we’re at 0-0 we should obviously press in a controlled way to score and win the game but in a structural way and if the win isn’t their we should make sure that we don’t lose. The criticism I have for slot is when we started rushing things and getting frustrated so early he didn’t do anything to calm the team down that was the big issue for me. I don’t think this is something that will happen often but we will see now and then.
Subbing Diaz was a mistake. He was the only one making real attempts at goal. It also feels Slot is afraid of subbing Salah even though there was not much genuine goal threat from him.
i am glad you picked up their tactics of diving (the ref helped them a lot) also part of that to tactics bring the game to a complete stop every 5 minutes to make sure the players never build rhythm or momentum 😂for me it was painful to watch
i appreciated how Slott tried to change shape and made aggressive subs to bring more attacking potential into our side. Our link up play in the final third was terrible. I didn't see the fluidity or rhythm we saw in the first 3 matches and we paid for it. It happens. I am confident that Slott will take this L and use the experience to improve the team and perhaps give others chance to shine. I am concerned about Darwin. I was hoping that this would be his opportunity to snatch his place back or at least give Jota some competition...but he didn't have much impact and he looks like he might be ready to check out. Perhaps Tuesday he will get his first start and make use of the opportunity? I hope so, i really want him to regain his confidence and find his form again.
I guess Slot will still start with the same 11 players mid-week if all of them are fit. It is the best that he got so far. That is the impression that I am having when I saw Mac starting yesterday. Guess we will find out soon whether Slot is bold enough in the coming fixture.
Salah may have been isolated at many points but you are completely wrong that this was the cause. His touch was often awful and he made some of the worst last third decisions of the team. He was awful.
It’s not a shock though is it? It’s the same inconsistency that has plagued this side for a few seasons. One week they look world beaters and then they turn up to a game switched off. Happens season after season.
Slot needed to change system to throw teams off as Nuno watched the 3games and said ahh same things they do everytime.Slot has to use the false9 more than invert Trent as a planB,LCB is a must for Tsimikas in Jan and put Robbo on bench. If he doesn't trust Endo to push up Macca and Gravvy then let him go and get the nr6 in asap
Mc alister should have been rested! He got a knock or something when in the national team! Endo should have started and Gravenberg should have played with more freedom! Trent cannot play in midfield, yes he can go forward but defensively he is not up to standards! And for gods sake shoot the ball from outside the box!!!
New manager bounce has died out😂😂, Slot was giving tactical analysis tours like he won the prem after three weeks Liverpool were flat otd. Sucks when you don’t have the luck to score w every shot on target
It’s always nice to get a good run of form early in the season cock blocked by a pointless international break. Nonetheless, this was a very winnable game that we never got into except for one Diaz chance off the post. Need something more creative in midfield and need a better bench that can impact a game. Just can’t justify ever using Nunez as he barely looks like he can control the ball or look threatening. His only contribution was getting knocked off the ball on the top of the Forest box and immediately conceding off it….
I get the international break would mess with momentum, but Slot should have been well aware of how Nuno plays and planned accordingly. One thing of concern is he doesn’t seem to rotate at all. You don’t want the team getting burnt out by Christmas.
i would rather lose early in the season and face adversity now. i don't think it was to do with tactics on our side. we just looked flat. excited to see how we respond
I really enjoy the lack of overreaction and sensationalism on this channel, Loz. It's what keeps me watching your videos. Can't wait for the Milan vlog!
This is why most great managers clear out even some of the great players from the squads when they take over no matter how many times they have won things for the club/team. This is exactly what I thought while I watched the game that the players were not taking Slot's instructions or Slot could not be strict enough to make them take them since they played like United doing their own individual things without any pattern of play especially not Slot's pattern of play. Klopp is not there and players cannot play Klopp's style without him. Otherwise we or any team would not need any manager after a great manager leaves, so that players would do it themselves after getting a stint with that great manager. It doesn't work like that. And Slot should tell them that if he hasn't told them yet. Additionally, Slot needs to teach his ways to everyone in the bench, and trust them like Klopp used to do. Klopp's style was taught to even academy players. That's how you do it. He should rotate more. It's not Eredivisie anymore. Also, I disagree with your Szobo take. He was the 2nd worst starter on the pitch behind Salah.
Slot has little time to work with the team to exploit low blocks in Premier League. Elliot, who may be the weapon, is injured. Pep has years with City so its always going to be easier. Halland's form certainly helps. Liverpool always sluggish after International breaks. Mentality issue. Slot will work his patterns of play against low block.
Liverpool were actually fine until the final third . They bypassed their midfield pretty easily tbh. However the final third play was truly atrocious, the worst it's ever been . That wasn't on Slot, that was on the front 4. Sozbo cannot play 10 against the middle to bottom teams They need Curtis up to scratch asap and push McAlister up to 10 , whilst Elliot is injured .
@@yichengyi was 70 between Salah szobo and Trent, Salah was our worst player last year I wish these turnover stats where more talked about he plays shit for 90 mins and scores a tap in and all the fans dick ride him
@@shibainudegenerate7129 this is the worst take on Salah ever, you dont watch games if you think like that. What you just said is plain stupid and simply to just hate on him. Remember this that without Salah out legacy these past few years won't have existed. Most prolific LFC player in history and one of the greatest all time in PL history. Just cause he made a mistake today should we forget how legendary he is? or better yet how good he was in the last 3 games? A GC in every game and a 100% GC against United. Get your facts right buddy, no one d rides him, he simply is great and dosent deserve the comment you gave at any means
Much like last season. 1970's Brazil for a few games and then Rotherham reserves at critical points in the season. We aren't as good as we think we are.
The smaller, more physical club, that is willing sit back once again caused LFC problems. The guys looked flat and their touch was heavy. Agree the right side was a problem even bradly struggled. Didn't like the lineup.
Feels Like slot is a bit mike Rafa in terms of personality .. maybe he’s going to find it hard to motivate the team the way Klopp did and maybe it will be a bit of a shock for the players that are used to Klopp
I guess we can scrap some of those Arne Slot narratives from before the break. 😂 We’re going to learn a lot with 7 games in 22 days. Also, congrats on finally moving those shoe boxes bruv. 🎉❤😂
Defence and midfield was not the problem otherwise Forest would have buried us with more goals. They came to park the bus and get the smash and grab. Our attack let us down.
For today, Macca & Diogo should stay, Salah & Trent sub out. Actually Liverpool was just in similiar situation with end of last season. For this game, when playing possession, low passes are too slow, high passes are too rush, the dribble 1v1 are too slow & protective (the players need to read well & do sharp dribble). We're missing Elliot definitely. But it's okay, it was a bit sad & unexpected but actually it was nothing new 🤷♂ Let's go Liverpool YNWA
Salah had an awful game - seemed to find it impossible to pass to a teammate. So many sloppy, misplaced passes from everyone. No intensity against a "lower quality" team - same old problems with LFC. Like arrogance once more.
Would it have made a difference if the south American guys excluding Allison started from the bench today? Think Slot was to smart for himself today. Hopefully he will learn from this. Ynwa
@@zoltanobru9274 to be fair, we were terrible throughout the pitch... But I don't know, could've done with a bit more creativity in the midfield or some ball carrying. I felt we became worse after macca was subbed
To your point though ... we were poor today ... like really poor.. but YHATS NOT GOOD FOOTBALL BY FOREST .... that's the thing I'm enjoyed about HAHAHAHAHA ... its fuckinnn Forest :))))
Let's give slot tyme we had a bad day in office due to this plane lafs of international break...most of all our players r from far distance....but with tyme I know slot will have a pain killer for those deep lying teams ..too bad we lost this early more so from home but we shall come back stronger 💪
bradley connor is overrated.... not the first time he has allowed the opposition player to come inside & shoot, Gomez would have been a better option, but all subs brought on were useless
Don't get me wrong, like any fan I don't like losing. However i think it's good thing that we've lost now, so there isn't the "fairytale" within the media of when will Slot lose. We had it with Klopp, I don't want the same BS with Slot. I just want him to get on with the job he has to do. So that's removed the "slotball", "unbeaten", "not conceded" headlines so now we can just move on and play football
My take is that Slot, coming from Feyenoord, is not so experienced with dealing with the "international break", with a slew of players coming back from duty. Now he knows.
If the game comes before the international break, we would have won. Team was badly exhausted. Sloppy passes through the entire team. Failure to pass and move correctly. Wrong runs. Things were doing pretty well before the break. That said, we have to admit this is still a Klopp side. Nunez can't fit in. Jota is the most ineffective I've seen him. Our subs aren't game changers. Slot needs his type of players, and I'm afraid it'll take a few years to truly coach this lot, or a few years to phase in new players.
Let's be clear this was unfortunately a Slott disaster class.... Period! aided by a sloppy/selfish salah among others to end with a back 3 of Bradley and tsmikas was naive.... so much for tactical flexibility.... Did he not watch enough videotapes?... All thats was needed was braver steam selection... Nunez and CJ needee to start Jota as super sub. Diaz should have stayed on.... Slott showed lack of plan B or C this is worrying..... Hopefully he learns the lesson as there will be tougher tests ahead...... Welcome to the PL I wish nhed stop referring to Eridivise.... He's along way from that league.... and needs to adapt better..
Why are we giving Nottingham credit??? Our front 5 players or so couldn't make simple passes just looked awful lets hope international Break was to blame
This is not Fifa Laurence, you can't put the opposition on Amateur and win every game easily. We didn't do enough in the window, but you keep ridiculing the people who called this out. Stop gaslighting and be real, we ain't winning the league City will walk the League.
No, I didn’t ridicule the people who “called it out” I said that hyperbole was not the way to go. There is a clear distinction so in our fanbase I’d say it’s more important to be accurate with what you’re saying I say. I did call out the people who try to make it one side of the other though.
@@LaurenceMcKennaonLFC well we should’ve signed a midfielder even if it’s on loan because our midfield is thin and slot doesn’t rate Endo. We need signings even if it’s short term stop sitting on the fence.
The way Nottingham Forest played it was almost inevitable they'd win by one goal while defending for their life. Breaking down an away team set up as Nottingham Forest were, will always be a challenge. One that many teams will fail to overcome this season.
Nunez is not a footballer. The writing has been on the wall for three years. Bringing him on was a huge error. Adds nothing. He’s a detriment to the team. It’s not his fault either. The nicest thing to do would be a loan in Jan.
Eh? He’s fallen off bad yes and before he used to have a chance every game even as a sub. But he has added stuff in the past I just don’t think he suits the system hopefully he adapts or he will have to leave.
Why are you mentioning Nunez ???? Salah was the worst performance I've ever seen today absolutely shit!!! Honestly just a clown comment there was far worse players today , jota jota 60 odd minutes what did he do ????? Szobo can't pass it 5 yards and you are slandering Darwin ,, your an idiot mate
Slot can only work with what he is given since he signed up for no say in player transfer. It is up to Slot to develop Nunez and the other bench players or he can only depend on the 1st eleven players. Once any one of them is injured, it is the end for us. We will see how Slot handle this defeat and tackle the next game.
@@huitian1035 you say that mate but how do you know Slot signed up for that? Don’t you think the problem is that we have an asset worth 10% his original fee? I suspect no credible bids came in, and we’re stuck with him until the end of his contract.
As usually I agry with you,PARKING THE FUCKING TRAININ FRONT OF GOAL IS NOT FOOTBAL... I would take over Everton and play like this and I would became a good couch... WRONG
I don't understand your logic. In every team based sports, even in 1v1 sports, defending is an art just as much as attacking. Especially when you're the underdogs like Nottingham. I like what Slot said after the game "We can only look at ourselves after this".
I think Endo (no-nonsense traditional 6) and Jones (holds the ball well) should have started. I felt that Nunez should have started as well because Jota had a stinker and it was obvious from the start that they were gonna sit deep. Jota wasn't gonna win many duels or aerial battles against their aggressive defending that were targeting him. Szobo in the 10 at least would have also put in a shift tracking and being aggressive. The thing that frustrates me and the thing that frustrated me about Klopp was that they keep playing the same 11 every game. I understand when a team is doing well and in winning form you stick with that team and chances are you see high success. But as coach, you have to be tactical and switch things up to meet the needs of the game at hand. Especially recognizing a coach like Nuno. We move on, and hopefully Slot and the team learn from this.
Szobo was playing the 10?? Macca and Gravenberch were good, and we would’ve struggled to control the game even more with Endo and Jones in midfield. Today wasn’t down to the team selection, it was decision making, particularly in the final third.
You were too excited about "the Slotball". I knew it's coming, big reality check! Slotball reminds me of Brendan Rodgers' football - big ball possession over average teams but with 0 result, I hope I am mistaken.

Honestly, I agree with everything you said. It feels like the players revert back to Klopp's style of football in these types of games and forget what the coach wants to implement. It's still early though, so I get that games like this can happen. Onwards and upwards hopefully!
@@TheEighthDwarfI’m not too flustered about this result. I think we’ll only get better as time goes on.
I think you need an editor
certainly didn't expect this result, fair enough Forest, we looked awful tbh
All credit to Forest, they executed their gameplan well, they done a number on us.
passing so off the entire games shocking to see😂I still can't believe it,i am even thinking, no, this is match fixing, they couldn't string 3 pases
@@lungalunga1470 I don't think they could have fixed the match - they were that poor!
Slot will learn definitely.
Hopefully
GOOD NEWS: United is worse than Forest
BAD NEWS: Forest just showed everyone how to beat us
I saw a lot of bad habits from the Klopp tenure today.
Exactly this.
In the same way we shouldn’t have got carried away with the first 3 wins, we should also not get too carried away with today’s loss. A poor day at the office, but Slot will learn from this. Hopefully just an anomaly
It would have come in handy to score off a corner. I would love for us to get better at that because it is a useful skill against low-blocking teams.
excatly, this. Why are we so poor at corners?
This whole game felt like Klopp era problems. It's the same story every season, Liverpool lose to a low-block. Perfect game for Elliot, this game wasnt suited for Szobo, he's just not that type of Foden-esque or Bellingham or even Odegaard type player, unfortunately Elliot was out. Salah also almost always struggles in these type of games, a conversation needs to be had about that. However my silver lining from this game is that these aren't Slot era problems so I trust that we will see him implement his mindset and vision into the team and inevitably the tactics will follow
@@nk5960 Let’s see, I like Slot but he ain’t even tying Klopp’s laces.. Let’s hope it’s not Arne Flop
In this system???? This is how szobo played under klopp aswell
I don't think Szobo is as good as we all think he is. Hasn't been good for ages
@@normanfernee3500 I think if Harvey wasn't injured slott would have picked him today it's a shame
Best players: Ali and Grav
Worst: Szobo and Salah
I hope Slot learns from this - in this league sometimes you have to win ugly.
Lots of touches in NFs box. Ticky tacky. Needed more chaos. Should have been a great game for dom, TAA, and Darwin.
Hard to win control based games when Trent and Salah are both a step off
We needed a false9 like Gakpo to receive the ball before playing it to Salah,Jota didn't read the game well and kept sitting deep with the defense comfortable.Slots mistake is he doesn't rate Endo hence the mistake moving Trent infield.Endo would've push more creativity Macca and Gravy up the pitch for shots on goal.
@@chiatriani Forest didn’t have the exact same situation? 14 forest players were on international duty as well.
Missed the game, havent seen the highlights yet. Laurence is my first point of call... thanks again Bro
100% agree worst to players on the pitch today Salah had one of the worst performances I've ever seen from any Liverpool player
@9:22 exactly. They didn't let us control the game, continuously harassing our midfielders.
This was a perfect game for Ryan Yates. We love that guy… 👊🏼
Salah, Trent are concentrating to their contract now.
Liverpool were very poor. Easy passes were terrible. Nottingham Forest took their goal well. Other than that, Liverpool weren’t at it.
This isn't a shock , maybe it's to the fsg rieders , this isn't on the Slot or the players.
Top 4 is the max for this team #FSGOut regardless
Subbing Diaz was a mistake. He was the only one making real attempts at goal. It also feels Slot is afraid of subbing Salah even though there was not much genuine goal threat from him.
We've always struggled against low block teams. Salah and Szobo should have been off
i am glad you picked up their tactics of diving (the ref helped them a lot) also part of that to tactics bring the game to a complete stop every 5 minutes to make sure the players never build rhythm or momentum 😂for me it was painful to watch
i appreciated how Slott tried to change shape and made aggressive subs to bring more attacking potential into our side.
70% possession and 5 shots on target… final balls and poor decision making cost us today
I can see that, for sure!
Slots tactic was outsmarted. I hope Slot will learn from this before other managers learn.
I’m sure it’s not the cause, but I’m happy if Slot doesn’t go on Sky and share every tactical thought in his brilliant bald Dutch head every week.
This whole international break excuse thing is wild
Forest haf 14 away
Jekyll and Hyde, Szoboszlai with the ball and without the ball.
Thanks
i would rather lose early in the season and face adversity now. i don't think it was to do with tactics on our side. we just looked flat. excited to see how we respond
Slot will work his patterns of play against low block.
we need a DM who can ruffle a few feathers in such games
Liverpool were actually fine until the final third . They bypassed their midfield pretty easily tbh. However the final third play was truly atrocious, the worst it's ever been . That wasn't on Slot, that was on the front 4. Sozbo cannot play 10 against the middle to bottom teams They need Curtis up to scratch asap and push McAlister up to 10 , whilst Elliot is injured .

Like slot is a bit mike Rafa in terms of personality .. maybe he’s going to find it hard to motivate the team the way Klopp did and maybe it will be a bit of a shock for the players that are used to Klopp
I guess we can scrap some of those Arne Slot narratives from before the break. 😂 We’re going to learn a lot with 7 games in 22 days. Also, congrats on finally moving those shoe boxes bruv. 🎉❤😂
you are very calm
You're my favorite because you always seem to have a level head when they lose.

Not just a loss history's been made by Forest..
Ynwa

Liverpool lost because Bradley has never lifted a weight in his life he is 20 years old with the body of a 12 year old. To dam slow to defend.

Don't get me wrong, like any fan I don't like losing.
However i think it's good thing that we've lost now, so there isn't the "fairytale" within the media of when will Slot lose. We had it with Klopp, I don't want the same BS with Slot. I just want him to get on with the job he has to do. So that's removed the "slotball", "unbeaten", "not conceded" headlines so now we can just move on and play football
maybe instead of writing forest off for their transfer market and actually did 10 minutes of research u wont be so surprised next time
Worst game I ever saw from Mohamed Salah.
Forest had 14 players away on international duty stop waffling lad

That's not what I said. I said that we shouldn't make signings for the sake of signings.

It is up to Slot to develop Nunez and the other bench players or he can only depend on the 1st eleven players. Once any one of them is injured, it is the end for us. We will see how Slot handle this defeat and tackle the next game.

I don't understand your logic. In every team based sports, even in 1v1 sports, defending is an art just as much as attacking. Especially when you're the underdogs like Nottingham. I like what Slot said after the game "We can only look at ourselves after this".
Season is over
ROFL
Sorry but Szob was terrible
