Just a little tip. If you sign up for AARP it will cost you $12 dollars for a year membership. You can purchase Carnival Gift cards for 10 percent off. A 500 dollar gift card will cost you 450. A 100 dollar card will cost you 90. You use these to purchase your drink package or pay for your cruise and save 10 percent more
I got the cheers package and it was really well, my husband and i dont drink 15 drinks a day but we drank enough that we paid 60 dollars a day and not from alcoholic drinks, we drank energy drinks, coffee. It worth it.
For the folks like me the drink package is more for the convenience of not having to pay for any drinks. Like you said the extra feeling of all-inclusiveness makes the cruise that much more enjoyable honestly
I'm not an alcohol drinker but I love specialty coffees. I don't see me drinking anywhere close to 10 specialty coffees a day though. If I drank even 5 on one of those days it would be the exception. They should have a package just for non-alcoholic specialty drinks.
@@jameswebalization457 I'm gonna pay $60 per day to drink 3 or 4 glasses of fruit juice? ;) If they get a Java and smoothies package I'll do that one. It would be priced most likely around $15 to $25 per day and I love specialty coffees and smoothies. I'd consider that worth the cost. But $60 a day? I can't drink enough of them to be worth it. I'll just buy them individually. ;)
@@Stuff_And_Thingsidk if you drink soda but they have the bubbles pass idk if it comes with more than that only ever had the adult package or suggest taking water packets or taking your own non alcoholic mixed
@@Gun_Nut361 I'll just stick to water and frozen coffees. I've heard the fruit juices that are included in the base fare are actually pretty good as well.
I am not a heavy drinker but I made an effort and had the coffees, milkshakes, and energy drinks included as well. We averaged 10 drinks a day. Port days were not worth the package, however my fiancé and I documented our drinks and we did end up saving about 140 dollars.
So if I'm paying 18% gratuity for the Cheers package do bartenders expect me to still tip them when ordering my drinks? That's having to tip twice. That's pretty crappy.
@@mudpup545 your double tipping only 1 time , the very first day. The bartender you tipped twice, will take care of you for the rest of the cruise. Better drinks and less waiting around to take your order, the second they see you they'll take care of you right away. It's what I do and it always works. Definitely worth the $20
With the Cheers program I understand that after fifteen alcoholic beverages you can no longer use the program (for alcoholic beverages) until 6am the following day. For clarification, will you still be able to purchase alcoholic beverages outside of the program?
Yes you can buy them after 15. It’s gonna be hard to reach that 15 limit unless you’re drinking beers. I went last year and tried my best to reach the limit each day 😂 closest I got was 13 drinks. That’s like 5 shots in the am, afternoon, and night.
Its 100 percent a scam and they say they don’t want you sharing your drinks with your cabin partner. Its just a scam to make more money. Im not going on another cruise because of this and all the extra silly charges for everything.

My daughter 100% disabled and is 22yrs it is me and her in a room I can’t was told I HAD to pay for 2 alcohol packages no matter what if I wanted a drink or I pay separately!!!

Doing my first ever drink package on a carnival cruise this summer!
Let us know how you make out. Happy cruising.
How did it work out? Was it worth it?

15 drinks my a$$!! i’d be getting to 15 drinks by breakfast on a bad day! & no double or triple shots.
Great video!! So detailed and informative!
Thanks, glad you found it informative.
And I suppose the last day of the Cruise, where you disembark at 9am,
those drinks just go to Carnivlas' bottom line.
You can still use the drink package that morning but don’t pay for it. On a seven day cruise that morning is day 8.
TY!!@@Eatsleepcruise1
2 people in a room. Do both have to have the same package?
So if I cruise out of NY they don’t charge me for the first day right?

No
Don’t double tip
Tip them once, hand em a $20 you won't regret it!!

For some reason in Texas and New York, your drink package doesn’t get activated until 6 AM on the second day

Nope
Which ship are you showing in this video?
Mostly Carnival Celebration.
What about those of who don’t drin? How about soft drinks?
He said the soda package is like $9 a day.
You will get the bubbles package only
Way cheaper
Carnival do offer 10% off drink packages
$2.00 for 1 can of pop?
you do realise that's actually quite cheap compared to supermarkets?
I just paid 24 dollars for two cans of soda for room service 😂 that isn't bad
VO very very quiet
Hey no free soft drinks? Stuff it!
This is old news.
My roommate doesn't drink so I'm not understanding why 2 drink packages should be purchased. This rule is borderline scamming.

@chase2289 Yeah but the issue is Carnival not allowing customers to purchase their own separate drink package.
