Got the same ones from ebay , have had them on for a year now and they're holding on good, didn't paint them or anything , super easy to install . Only issue I had was that my packaging came beat up so I had missing some bolts.. had to go to Lowes to get extra bolts. But overall great for the price 🤙
They were pretty easy to install. They mount directly to the cab of the truck. You first do the legs and then screw the bar into into the legs. No drilling or cutting required. Came with all the hardware needed. I used some blue lock tight on the all the threads just to be safe.
These are the ones I purchased: www.ebay.com/itm/Fit-05-20-Toyota-Tacoma-Double-Cab-Blk-Running-Boards-Side-Steps-Nerf-Bar-Rails/193292648751?hash=item2d0123c12f%3Ag%3AcJYAAOSwyhVeCqpK&LH_BIN=1

I got some a few months back. Took the tips from this video. Easy to install and they look great 👍. Thanks for the info
Nice, glad to hear you like them as well. My only complain now is that they are shin busters when trying to get my baby in the car! ha
@@BrooksyTech knock on wood, I haven’t done that yet. My TRD Off-road sits a bit higher. 👍👍👍
I also installed the ebay specials a year ago did not paint them. I go to the beach an besides dirt i have no rust issues.
Do those step rails actually have some drop? or are they like oem running boards that didn’t really have a step, they more even with the cab bottom.
Was it difficult to install the bars? do they mount to the frame? Did u have to drill?

How are they holding up?
Still look great! I definitely recommend hitting them with some spray on liner though like i did.
Do they move when you step on them?
Nope, they are very sturdy. I weight about 190lbs and they support my weight just fine.
How's ride quality/ gas mileage with lift.
Ride quality is great! My gas mileage is not that great though. Probably about 17mpg on average but worth it for me.
Spray them with rustolem hammered finish.
