And Forza using a 2005 model of the '98 car using the '99 livery... I like both franchises, but in car accuracy GT is top notch. Makes me real sad that Forza isn't getting the same attention from the devs like GT7 does.

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who noticed the car in Forza is so inaccurate lol. Have to give Turn 10 props though for its amazing engine sound in Forza Motorsport 4, in my opinion the most realistic GT-One sound for a video game.
@@hectorzambrano4092 true. It would be better if they've maintained the '98 livery on it though. Speaking of which, TheAdmiester was able to restore the '97 livery on FM4 to the R390 GT1 LM

The cockpit view while driving is just phenomenal. They've captured so much of the driving sensation and translated it so clearly.

The 98 livery is just a custom one, not an original from the game. No road car version but you can easily just make the car red with no stickers
@@RowdyGT meh, that does not change much as it is still available to have in game, it is just sad how overlooked is 98 version which is badass in this livery. Most games with gt-one included i know has only 99 version
I know it may be related to successes of both cars in lm24, 99 was first only japan team on podium iirc and none of 98 even finished race, but still makes me sad as i am fanboy of gt-one '98

Why does it feel nerfed? Wasn't it competing against Group C cars in GT4? Easily hitting speeds well over 220 mph?
The older GT games had a lot of inaccuracies
Since he's doing a GT SOPHY race, BoP is applied and it's limited to 572 horsepower and ballasted up to 2094 lbs (unsure of exact metric number off the top of my head) for balance.

Are you using music replay to get the aerial camera angles?
Yeah bro, there’s this weird glitch in the game. Go to music options and turn any music track off, in music replays. (Doesn’t matter which one) Then select music replay after a race and select that song. (The one you turned off in the options) There is now no music when you start the replay and you get all these different replay angles that aren’t usually available. Sometimes it’s just the boring in car dash cam, but just close the reply and reopen until you get the viewing angle you want. There’s a couple of UA-cam vids on how to do this
Why is it in gr2
It's not quite fast enough to keep up with the Gr.1 cars but it is easily the fastest Gr.2 so far. It's just in a weird spot with GT7's flawed group category system
@@RowdyGT Without getting too nerdy on real life lap times, I think the 1999 car should've been GR1. Still a great addition regardless
The Peugeot 908 not fast too, the GT One speed can do 350km/h.
It can do 236 mph tuned & is over 4 seconds slower then the Gr.1 Group C cars at lemans
In my opinion it's nerfed by low downforce settings. The car is faster in a straight line then most Gr 1 but can't hold a corner as well.

you could say thy nerf it in to the ground
but then again every GR car is nerf it in to the ground as not one GR4 car can do a gr4 race
same go's GR1 up to GR3 and B
PLUS the AI is all over the place
complaints of being to strong and all so some say to weak
its one fing that need fixing i the balance is AI as you need like the red bull 20xx just to race GR1 car
and a better class for GR4 ,3 AND 2
and the beast part is every one saying it polyphony digital gran turismo 7 just keep on digging a deeper hole for them self's
