I watched the whole game and did not see Kreider once. I'm serious. Did he play?
Eastern conference finals and the energy wasn’t there? Somebody better wake the F up lol
I'm just fucking baffled dude
How long yall been watching this team ?the rangers do this all the time there's a reason why we only have 4 cups in our history doesn't matter who the coaches are who the players are they do this all the time goin back to the canes series were now 1-3 in our last 4 that's not going 2 get it done How do u come out FLAT ITS MIND BOGGLING
SoFlo in the house. Panthers will gladly play any style of hockey that the Rangers want to play. Go Panthers
Enjoy your win baba
All of a sudden u got fans down there,Wat a fukin fraud fanbase,I lived there i no,I used to sit at center ice for 20 bucks, cause nobody was there.
U people dont deserve that team.
@@garynabit5577 You do realize the rag$ are the first playoff team to get the #1 overall pick and got Lafreniere because of it and Fox forced his way to the Rag$ because hes a whiner so technically you don't deserve your team either.
@@garynabit5577
If the Rangers lose the next game, probably will be a four game sweep.
The Panthers really want to win . And they will battle to the very last second.
The energy wasn’t in the building once we realized that the rangers once again didn’t show up to play. The energy was there in the beginning and then we saw that they were completely out battled, weren’t skating hard, and couldn’t even get the puck
It's just one game. There was a lot to be worried about in the game. But also the Rangers had higher expected goals for the game and one more high danger chance. Two breakaways and two posts. So they had chances. The Panthers suffocated them defensively for at least half the game, but also didn't look that impressive offensively. The Rangers could have tied the game up or even been up in the game, but the bounces definitely did not go their way. It wasn't good, and they didn't play with the needed energy, but there were positive chances too. Florida was not dominant and this is just 1 game.
What game did you watch?
@@enriquecomas933 Rangers vs Panthers, game 1 on Wed night
I’m not shocked to see these overreactions, they’re everywhere. It’s because this is the ECF.
When Boomer & Gio talk about taking it up a notch, I’d say I’d like to see some more big hits from our bigger guys. Trouba crushed someone in the 3rd and it led to some sustained pressure. It was the only hit like that from NY. But that plan can backfire from officiating or injury.
"Bob is not the better goal tender." LOL. Yet he's been the better goal tender the entire year.
It just blows my mind that they had a week off and came out flat as a pancake. They should've come out of the gates with their hair on fire. If they don't raise their level of play this series will be over in 4 games.
They had more time off after the Capitals and played better then. Only 4 days off before Panthers.
Whatever Happened to Cane's last season will come around again in ECF.
Only good news, they could barely beat us when we were at our worst. Own goal and empty net… rangers just need to stop with these slow starts…
No reason why Rempe should not have been in over Jimmy Vesey. You had Mark Messier who may I remind you is a 6x stanley cup champion, saying that Rempe should be in the lineup during intermission. Now the twitter GM/coaches saying that Rempe provides nothing for the team are clearly out of it and have not paid attention. Mikkola taking a run at Filip Chytil with 3 seconds left in the 3rd period who is playing in just his 2nd game back from a severe concussion injury should convince laviolette to put Rempe in the lineup. If that doesn't convince Lavi then Lomberg, Tkachuk, and Bennett taking runs and throwing big hits on the Rangers all night last night should. I know Rempe isn't a top 6 forward or a point per game player but he brings an energy to this team that they so desperately needed in that game last night. The fact the most energy the team got last night was because of a disallowed goal should speak high enough volume. PUT REMPE IN!
I agree with you that Rempe needs to be in, but that game should have ended with a huge brawl after that hit- where were the other Rangers?
That picture screams south jersey redneck
"Florida has won 60 percent of the faceoffs" then proceed to miss at least 4 defensive zone faceoffs due to cut aways to crowd shots or Emily Kaplan . I pledge to get Sportsnet somehow by next season before I do something that lands me in jail.
1-The puck spent to much time in the Ranger zone
2-shots on goal caught up with Igor
3-several days off showed the Rangers were lackluster
4-Rangers big 4 didn’t show up
5-Rempe needs to be on the ice
Energy not in the building cuz the tickets are $9000
Correct!
Not on Ticketmaster. $450ish is the cheapest
NY really think Rempe is the answer against the big hit machine that is Florida Panthers 😂😂😂
I’d rather loose game 1 then game 7… wounded today, yea a little bit… we all know the FLA is a force… warrior time for 60 every game!
Ridiculous man that your in the Eastern Conference Finals and you come out flat IN MSG it's ridiculous again give up a good Igor performance man 1 soft goal and a goal by your own guy just ridiculous if I'm Lavi I'm smoking the shit out of these guys LFGR
I wouldn't say they came out flat. I thought the intensity could've been higher at times, but that is always the case. No team plays at 100% intensity for an entire series - it's not sustainable.
12-13 minute stretches without a SOG is not a good sign. That being said this was a 1-0 game due to a soft goal Igor let up and then we deflect a puck in our own net. Hit 2 posts so although rangers were lacking energy they were right there. Vesey, trouba, Gustaffson, and Kaako need to do more. Rempe is an option but you got to play the guy regularly. what good is putting him out for 4 mins?? I think Zac Jones deserves a chance. Fox doesn't seem right also. gotta get ugly in this series. pucks to the net and rebounds. hopefully they can make the adjustments. LGR!!
Florida plays a different style of game. If the Rangers want to play into Florida’s style, they will lose every time. Panthers are a black belt team at Suffocation Hockey. NYR need to open up the game in the middle and stay off the boards. You can’t beat FL in the boards
Their “styles” aren’t conducive with winning the Cup.
@@automatoncollectives7237 any of the 4 teams left can win the cup. There is no severe underdog. Florida can definitely win the cup with their game
Stop with the Rempe talk ... the Panthers have a complete team of guys that would beat the hell out of that clown.
No one wants Rempe in there to fight. They want him out there throwing his big body around. Even if you're correct that the Panthers are a more complete team or that they could beat up Rempe, neither is a good argument for keeping him out of the lineup.
@@humanbeing2420 he stinks.
Why did Laviolette put Chytl on the ice in the last few seconds? He took a big un-necessary hit. Dumb.
@@alexkatsanos8475fr dude got crushed
NO WAY!!!!!
It's one game, Lets Go Rangers!
Exactly. Here we go with everyone having a meltdown.
I agree, ESPN has 💩ing the bed with the video.
I am telling you that 4.5 minutes of Rempe will energize the team. Wennbergs not doing enough for me to want him over Rempe. Jones is better than Gustafson and has youthful energy. Tell Trouba to start hitting or put him back to 3rd pair cause Schneider/Miller is better than Trouba/Miller.
This game was not competitive. Rangers had sustained pressure once, and they were buried in their defensive zone most of the game.
Rempe will do nothing for the Rangers ... Panthers are a bigger, stronger team then the Rangers
Rempe would be a mistake lol
@@freedomring3022 so you want to counter that with?
The fans maybe not the team but I guess u gotta try something when the rangers look like they didn’t even belong in that series
That was..... wow.... that was a depressing effort
The Rangers had offensive surges and chances in the O zone and simply couldn't capitalize. Couldn't agree more about the camera broadcast, it's horrible, the ice level camera where you can't see the ice or the puck is useless, and the constant attempts at close ups is simply of no value to any fan trying to watch the game. They do this football when every play ends they start switching between camera close ups of as many people as they can, like count the nose hair close ups, which is disgusting in its own right, and flash back to the line of scrimmage a second before the snap, they try that in hockey and it's a total train wreck. When they are too close to the ice in their zoom also, you can get seasick trying follow this cameraman who obviously can't follow the puck. The people involved obviously have no comprehension or understanding of watching a NHL game and it's just ridiculous...
Bruins had more high danger chances too. How that work out. 14 minutes without a shot ain’t gonna get it done.
The energy wasn't "not there"....They are playing a better team. lets lay it out here...the first round they played a terrible Caps team, in fact the worst playoff team in the HISTORY OF THE SPORT by the numbers. Carolina was the better team in the second round 5 on 5 for large parts of that series, as soon as the Rangers PP opportunities dwindled so did the rangers winning games. From the 3rd period of game 3 including OT (rangers won on PP goal in double OT) , all of game 4, all of game 5 and the first 2 periods of game 6 the rangers were outplayed consecutively. translation....2-3 PP's against a legit playoff team equals a loss for the rangers.....They need 5+ PP opportunities just hang with playoff teams, its been like that all year.
If Shesterkin does icky in game 2 i say put QUICK IN NET for game 3!!! Its perfect!! Quick is made for these moments and has the experience of Conference Final pressure
Floridas for real. Rangers need to GET SERIOUS. Cant choke against another Florida (Tampa) team in the East Finals, right?!
They NEED to watch the videotape of the regular season game at MSG against Florida with the shootout win if you ask me! They did most things right in that game
Effort was there, but wrong strategy allowed NYR to get swarmed. To create room against FLA, Boston was able to get back in the series by (1) more stretch passes and lobbing the puck out to use their speed to race for it; and (2) get FLA out out their swarm structure by initiating more body-checks. Thats why Rempe needs to be in, and they need to swap out probably 3 guys in total for 3 rugged guys. The rugged guys create the space for the NYR skilled players who were smothered.
NYR must change their tactics.
Miscues broken passes and puck turnovers. Lack of attention to detail. Looked like last year.
Take it up 5 notches, and then 5 more. Guys are literally watching the puck.
That game was awful Florida didn't play all that great either
Rangers had a handful of grade A chances (besides the breakaways) where they missed the net or hit the post or didn't get all of the puck.
Need to finish better in these types of games
What the hell was gustaffson doing passing on a breakaway late in third? just terrible
Rangers thought they can take on FL’s physical-line 😂😂😂😂
Vesey should sit for Brodzinski or Rempe. He's been lost out there for a few games now.
2 years ago the Rangers won the first 2 games at home in the ECF and took a 2 goal lead in Tampa before losing that game and the next 3. So, losing game 1 at home is not the end of the world.
BTW, Florida lost its game 1 against Boston badly and still won the series in 6.
In 1994, Rangers lost the first game at MSG against New Jersey in the ECF and the first game of the finals against Vancouver at home again. But in both instances they won game 2 in a convincing matter and yet both series went to the limit anyway.
So, this is not the time to panic as this first game against Florida could have gone the other way if 1) the Rangers had started in time (bad habit they have) and 2) they had buried one or 2 of their scoring chances.
There is only one thing that I'm worried about with Florida and it's the grit factor.
It's the only thing but it's a big one. :(
We'll know what the Rangers are made of for sure in this series. Their resolve will be tested.
They are struggling to get shots on goal, going almost a whole period with 3 or 4 shots? just awful and a bad sign as well, they are below average 5 on 5 if they dont score on the PP they are dead because that is how they are built
The only redemption here is that they only lost one game despite an avalanche of mistakes. Rather have one terrible night rather than diminished play across a series. BUT they need to start the flipping engines tonight.
it was glorious to watch ... Lets go Panthers!
K fukin fraud fanbase,u dont deserve that team
Rempe should have been in the lineup game 1 to set the tone for the series, they walked all over them, I love chytl but it looks like he’s playing to cautiously
All the talk about players not stepping it up last night. How about the fact that the Panthers shut them down for the most part with relentless pressures. Maybe the reality is that FLA did not allow them to really get set. Instead of whining about how bad NY played, maybe praise FLA for their style of play. JMO.
What the hell is wrong with Fox? He has looked terrible this playoffs, guy always looks winded and tired like he ran the NYC marathon guys were skating right buy him last night, if he is hurt get him out of the lineup, he is giving them nothing even on the power play he has been bad too. 1 goal scored in the last 2 home games is downright awful.
I was told that the Panthers were Carolina light.
That turned out to be a lie.
Three things need to change for the Rangers to win Game 2:
1 = Healthy scratch Chytil. He is not 100%. He is a future star, but just hasn't had the time this year to gel with linemates. If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it. Don't get me started on Wheeler, either. Stick with what has been working in the first two rounds and the season.
2 - Bring back Rempe. He can be their MVP without scoring a single point. The Rangers and their fans were lifeless in Game 1. Rempe will bring the fight back out of them. I thought this was Trouba's job, but guess not.
3 - SHOOT THE PUCK!!!! Outshot in 9 of 11 games so far this postseason. Quality shots will beat average goaltenders some of the times, like they did in rounds 1 and 2 for the Rangers. However, now they face an elite goaltender who can stop most quality shots he can see. Rangers need to get messy. Shoot from everywhere, get bodies in front Bobrovsky, and look for tips, redirections, rebounds, any trash you can throw at him. When facing an elite goaltender you need quantity of shots over quality.
This team has to stop thinking it could always just come back. There's no urgency in the first 40 minutes of their hockey game. This is the Florida Panthers they're going to chew you up and spit you out if you let them play their game. Rangers need to wake up. And I do believe number 73 needs to be out there give them 10 minutes. If he lays out one of their big guys it's worth the penalty
I almost went to this game THANK GOD
Florida-Dallas are the two best teams and should be vying for the Cup.
Even though Edmonton should be more competitive than the Rangers.
If the Rangers don’t score on the PP, they have NO CHANCE.
Wrong the Rangers are the best team. Just that they had a whole week off and we're flat as a pancake. They will come back
@@bobbenbrown123 Florida is more talented and the Rangers are facing a REAL goalie too. Florida was HARDLY at their best either.
I’d be surprised if the Rangers beat this team.
This isn't the freakin' Islanders or Hurricanes that the Rangers are up against..... the Panthers will continue to elevate their game. That being said, I fully expect the Rangers to come out flyin' game 2. The Panthers are the better team 5v5 - and their PK went 93% against Boston. Granted, the Rangers are not Boston but the PK will go toe to toe with the NY PP.
This may be the worst series in the history of NHL playoffs. Rangers shouldn't even be in it. Panthers in 4.
He doesn’t need to fight and 4.5 min is more of a presence than the 6-7 min kakko and brozinski and vesey get. They don’t have any edgy players besides trouba. Barclay goodrow can handle his own but by no means is he a player I would be worried about when going into corner for a puck. Out of their top 9 I can’t think of one guy who brings the heat. Maybe Kreider here and there but non of them are getting in anyone’s face or laying hits on the d men to wear them down.
Dude I been sayin it since Lundqvist was in net that they cost that guy multiple cups because they were always a soft team, would have beat the Kings in 2014 and Devils 2012 if they had physicality it is still a issue with the current squad too much softness
The Rangers culture since day 1 (way back in 1926) has always been NOT to have an overall physical team and when the playoffs rolls along that weakness comes and knocks them off time & time again. Last nite was proof again & when you have players like Kakko, Vesey, Wennberg, who we know are far from physical but also not very good players this series will be over in 4, max 5.
The only time they bucked the trend was 1994 that team had many grinders, Matteu, Tikkanen, Kocur, MacTavish etc Messier made sure they traded the soft guys for hard nosed guys
As a Panthers’ fan, I wish all 7 games were in NY. The Panthers love being the bad guys.
Rempe's 5 mins of game play forces teams to have to otherwise dress a guy they wouldn't otherwise do; this is not saying Rempe is Messier and teams have to plan around him; however, Rempe when he is on the ice sets a tone with big hits and is a presence out there. The Rangers decided to go with finesse with chytl and it cost them, they were physically dominated and couldn't control the space between the blue lines. The truth is, little will change, even with Rempe the Rangers overall don't stack up to Florida's physical size and control, so we are going to have to rely on IGOR to carry us, as he did against the Canes.
Lmao
I love fans screaming for Rempe.. yea, he can go out and be an enforcer.... but he can also go out there get out of position and give the cats an extra opportunity
4 minutes of forecheck is about momentum, pal
Chytil is just a bad idea. Yes he is a great player, yes we need him back, but this is the conference finals. How is a guy who hasn't played all year gonna come in and effectively compete against a team that has made it this far? It's not fair to him or to the players on his line. It just doesn't make any sense to me
I dont understand why he is playing, he is one concussion away from his career ending and he is defintely not ready for this kind of series, get rempe or someone fresh in there who plays physical
Idky ranger fans think they have a chance in hell against Florida.
It’s been 1 game. 1. Bruins won first game 5-1?6-1? How that work out? 1 - 0 w/ 5 minutes left before scoring on themselves. Slow down guy. A lot of hockey left. Don’t count chickens b4 they haven’t even pipped the shell

Typical New York sports play great in season shyt 💩 post season
They are 1 of 4 teams out of 32 still playing and the first President Trophy winning team to make a conference finals since they did it back in 2015. I would hardly call that 💩 lmao. The Cup is nearly impossible to win. Is what it is.
@@GregAllenF1 the Cup is not impossible to winning we got teams like Las Vegas just came in won it all we got Tampa & Pitt winning back 2 back seems like Ny just stinks
How are those devs doing?
@@markmilitant If it wasn’t almost impossible to win every team would win it a bunch. There is nothing you can say that would make me believe that it isn’t a huge amount of luck, from getting the right calls to just being able to draft the right players at the right time. It’s basically impossible if those things don’t fall your way. The Rangers also don’t stink, they just might not be as good at the Panthers in this case. They are still playing hockey when 28 other teams are not and for the second time in 3 years. Once you realize winning a cup is basically impossible your expectations change on what success means.
Douchy comment 🤡🤓
They aren’t great 5 on 5 and need PP opportunities. Rempe will get called but it might get the refs blowing whistles.
If Florida wins Friday
It's over
I know 0-2 is something you fear
Florida will win 4-1
The Panthers lost two games, almost three, to the Bruins, whom just so happen to be the weakest they’ve been in a decade. So, critical thought dictates that following: if they lost two to a weak version of Boston, then the Panthers will lose at least three to the Oilers or Dallas. Which means can the Panthers win seven in the finals? I don’t see it.
Great logic 😂😂😂😂
@@deadeye110 It’s illogical to suggest otherwise. If the Panthers can’t convincingly beat a neutered Boston, there is no why they convincingly win in the Finals. Logic, much.
@@automatoncollectives7237 You're forgetting the fact that swayman stood on his head the entire series which is why Boston even won a couple games. Did you go to a government school?
@@deadeye110 I’m not forgetting that at all: goaltending, without depth, can’t win cups. The Panthers learned that the hard way themselves last year. Even against a neutered team like Boston, they still struggled.
Of the 4 teals left, Rangers were the least favored to win Cup.
How do you figure when they had the most points overall and won the Presidents trophy
@@bobbenbrown123 They were slight dogs in the Carolina series also. Florida was in the finals last year and was very strong in the regular season so right away Florida is favored in this series. Having the most points In the regular season really means very little since only a few points separated all these teams.
The one thing that is a Rangers weakness is playing at full strength. They were only middle of the pack, if that, during the regular season. I would guess this to be a major point for Las Vegas when making their odds.
Laviolette was outcoached.
I like it
Panarin is a joke in the tight checking playoffs. Along with Mika and Kreider. All these guys like space. Panthers in 5.
Roslavic and Wenneburg are soft players who are the product of the salary cap. My fear was eventually the Columbus Duo would rear their ugly heads eventually in the playoffs. Goodrow should replace Wenneburg takes his spot on the 4th line and bench Roslavic who is nothing more than a diva on skates!
seasons over
ESPN coverage is complete crap. Go Panthers!
What's with the flannel.....bloviates
Blueshirts my guess?
Rangers could have won this game & should have won it gmafb
The Ranger's will lose. How do know, because the sports betting apps tell me they will. The sooner you realize this, the more money you will save
Smothered I don’t think so. Where was Florida’s offense??? They had one lucky goal. We put one in our own net and they got an empty netter. They didn’t really produce much either the shots were equal. The hits were equal, but area Rangers clearly lead, was quality chances so I don’t wanna hear one word about the Rangers were smothered. Boomer, you should stick to being a quarterback you know nothing about hockey. Sorry you may have watched a lot of games, but you’re no hockey hockey player.
