It's hard to believe that The Mothers started at West Coast Drum Shop! He said "Music" but it was WC DRUM SHP... located next to the West Coast theater! I studied there 4 a year. Did he know Al & Bob (who was later murdered)? Jimmy was a helluva nice guy, I've been to his house in the Valley. Yeah, I remember when "Freak Out" on Verve came out, but never knew about the beginnings. I just had my mind blown!

Zappa never made porno films. AT ALL. He was jailed on an entrapment charge when making an AUDIO recording for a party. It was a GAG with over the top sex sounds recorded in the studio. Frankly I'm glad that Zappa took over the band and eventually kicked out everyone from the original MOI so he could begin his real career.
He was set up by the vice squad. He did 2 weeks in county. Being "framed" and doing time fucked his head up but he got his revenge. Chunga's Revenge. Zappa did low budget movie soundtracks even before the Soul Giants
