I heard this on the radio back in the 70's and thought it was brilliant! I've been looking for it ever since. Finally, 40 years later and it's still brilliant. Why is it so rare and hard to find? Thanks so much to the uploader.
The Credibility Gap's records are all way out of print! And the movie this video is from... Well, I just lucked into finding it! (I am 1nceBitten2wiceShy, btw)
Apart from the butchery of the Tomorrow Show sketch, that flick's a treasure for the classic routines we would otherwise not have any visual versions of!
I enjoyed this, and I'm a longtime Harry Shearer fan. But it can't measure up to the original. No one could deliver this routine as well as Abbott and Costello did it.
Squiggy and Derek Smalls. (Rumor has it Lenny from Laverne & Shirley is related to Derek St. Hubbins from Spinal Tap-they both look oddly like Michael McKean.)
"It's 1987, some of these old bands are gone and you'll need new ones to bring in the younger crowd. Do you have any?" "I do." "A-ha!" "Exactly!"
That would be Nirvana

Couldn't agree more. Absolutely hilarious.
Lander: You are twisted, sister.
Shearer: They're next week.
This is awesome! I'd only ever heard the audio of this before and never knew there was a video.
Hilarious ! A clever musical twist of the comedy classic skit. I enjoyed it !! Thanks for sharing.
"Are you crazy? If I could write, I wouldn't have had to steal this bit!"
How about the band? When does The Band come on? Before Who? Yes?
Andy Boerger yes.
"No I don't see the band. That's a different group entirely!"

@@bostoncommonterry Who's Substitute?
@@kenlieck7756 That's right
That's was a wonderful remake of the classic comedy skit by Abbott and Costello.
R.I.P. David
Thank you.
lol love the guess who part
Note: altho Abbott & Costello made it world famous, "Who's on First?" was a staple of Vaudeville acts for decades in many variations.
Great ! RIP David.
Hilarious!! I have the movie, "Cracking Up" and it features a whole bunch of skits like these, sorta like Kentucky Fried Movie.

GENIUS!!!
From 'Cracking Up.'

I think the show 'Deadwood' did a take-off on this bit too! Wu? Who?
Dig it!
I'm not getting any audio.
The Who and The Guess Who. That was so confusing.
They once toured together, with a giant question mark as their logo!
@Wind Lady Yes!
Cute!
RIP
Hinkenlooper for pres.....

Isn't that Radar from M*A*S*H?
David Lander..from Laverne and Shirley...AKA, Squiggy
Eddie Leon - Thank you. I recognized the voice but couldn't place where I'd heard it before.
David (Squiggy) Lander from Laverne and Shirley. Harry Shearer from SNL, This is Spinal Tap, and the SImpsons.
Squiggy and Derek Smalls. (Rumor has it Lenny from Laverne & Shirley is related to Derek St. Hubbins from Spinal Tap-they both look oddly like Michael McKean.)
Lol
And the take off from this I was looking for when I landed here: ua-cam.com/video/BlXjIg4fH74/v-deo.html

It's "Squiggy" aka the very talented and funny David L. Lander.
