Loma Quita Espuela, Der Weg zu den Wolken, Dominikanische Republik

Der 985 Meter hohe Berg „Loma Quita Espuela“ liegt bei San Francisco de Macoris in der Dominikanischen Republik. Der Gipfel hängt immer in dichten Wolken, deshalb gibt es dort einen der wenigen echten Tropischen Regenwälder der Insel. Die Moose, Flechten und Farne filtern das Wasser aus den Wolken und sind die Quelle von 60 Flüssen die auf diesem Berg entspringen.
The 985 meter high mountain "Loma Quita Espuela" is located near San Francisco de Macoris in the Dominican Republic. The summit always hangs in thick clouds, which is why there is one of the few real tropical rainforests on the island. The mosses, lichens and ferns filter the water from the clouds and are the source of 60 rivers that have their source on this mountain.
