Glad you guys are both safe and on the ground without to much damage or injury! It’s always little things that you haven’t thought of yet, that get you. Thanks for sharing man!
Glad that had a good outcome. He could have easily severed his Achilles tendon. Good that you guys were flying together. Thanks for sharing this with the PPG audience.
Marc .. almost the exact same thing happened to me and my Blackhawk 125. When I went from the rhino cage to the smaller single hoop cage I had forgot to put the strap completely around each of the tubes that are on the frame I took off and my gas tank came out and struck my prop. Completely my fault. Luckily no fire landed safety. I got a video of it somewhere. Send me an email where I could send the video to if you'd like to see it. I had that little Blackhawk 125 for over 4 years with no major issues. Sort of wish I kept it now.
Maybe, but that’s a lot of vibration. I have 450 flights with the same set up and never had a problem. It’s all about the preflight, the set up is totally safe.

Very fine
Thats exactly why I carry a fire extinguisher in my truck! Biggest fear of mine, me or someone, catching fire. Glad he made it down safe!!
I do too, I keep one in my vehicle and various places around the house. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
Preflight Preflight Preflight
Scary exciting stuff!

Yeah, I’ve never had a problem with my tank coming loose, but it might not be a bad idea to throw an extra strap around it.
Sounds scary
Tense!
At 1:12 you can see that his tank is not secured properly and it is within striking distance to the prop. Need better preflight check.
Broken prop bummer been there a few times but I’d have a hard time flying a machine that is capable of the prop hitting my feet super scary
Best crop duster this side the M'sippi
🪂💦🪂
🤣🤣🤣🔥
Gasoline tanks must be fastened with screws! Not with these straps! What kind of shit is this! Totally unsafe! Lucky that it didn´t start to burn! Wow
