Hey John, really liking your videos! One request: could you make a video on how to get the best deals specifically for domestic economy class flights? I want to use my points as efficiently as possible while also not spending more points on business class flights or expensive hotel stays. I have a long distance relationship and I want to be able to travel there often with my points alone.
Hmmm could you prepay taxes or pay estimated? There is going to be an associated fee for using a credit card but I've found that it's worth it for high sign up bonuses.
The only option is if you can afford it, buy materials for the next year, buy shipping labels for the next year and any other equipment. It’s definitely hard for beginner businesses. A buddy of mine that owns a automotive tint and clear bra shop spends that in 1 week he said💀
It is a business card so if you are worried because you went over the limit by adding some personal credit cards you should still be able to get it! I'm pretty sure but doble check before applying
@Digital_Warrior21 Great point. I tried for the elevated Ink Unlimited this past January and they denied me due to being at 7/24. Apparently, Business Relationship Managers can "bypass" this rule though. I'm still looking for a BRM near me.
I would absolutely LOVE to jump on this SUB offer, but I can’t make the required spend. If it were closer to the Holidays, or if I had a large purchase to make, then maybe I could take advantage. What a cryin shame! I’ve been waiting for the CIBC to have an elevated offer since the required spend is smaller. Oh well, life goes on. Thanks for all you do! Blessings!

The only thing that’s holding me back isn’t the spend it’s the pay full monthly. I met criteria for 2 categories but as a less than 1 year old business that paid in full to meet 8k would mean a lot of manufactured spending
Ok I just got this card using your link. I used your link for the Chase flex and Unlimited cards with the 100% cash match last December. Thanks for keeping me posed. I'm going to start my film and photograph freelance business.
Even if you fuck this up you'll get $1000 value. You can get up to $15k value, if you work it right. Just because it's not organic spend doesn't automatically mean the advice is terrible. There is no requirement to use this solely for business expenses (not sure why you mentioned that part). Take from it what you will.
You'll use both actually! From memory it should be your EIN first then in the later section it'll be your SSN since you still personally guarantee the card. Hope that helps and best of luck!
Last month I dropped $6k on a deposit for my siding and I got a Sapphire Preferred for it. Got 90k points from the bonus, very nice for my very first credit card sign on bonus. I am going to be paying $14k more once it's done later this month, but I haven't started my planned side hustle yet(3d printing tabletop gaming terrain) because I planned to start it once my siding was dealt with and out of my financial crosshairs. I can't really pick up the card if I don't have a side hustle yet. Bummer. When does this offer disappear?
For someone who's new to business credit cards like me, I have a small business and can't really spend 8k in my business, but could I spend it elsewhere like dining, groceries, rent, etc. to reach the $8k? Or does it have to be strictly buying stuff for your business?
*technically* it’s for business expenses only But no one is going to rly care nor comb through all of your purchases and confirm they’re for your business
If I'm a sole proprietor (I inherited my dad's short term rental property, and have taken over the airbnb/vrbo) can I use this credit card on my own internet, and electric bills in addition to the internet and electric bills at the short term rental?
As another “hack” if u have a spouse you can give her your referral link which will only give her 100k pts but the referral is worth 40k pts then you combine them, viola, 140k as long as you can justify spending 8k in 3 months which kinda sucks if you have a tiny business that doesn’t generate much. Wish it was 8k for 6 months, much more doable!
Applied for the CIP in April. Met the SUB and just called Chase. The agent told me that had I gotten the card in May, I would have been eligible for the match
Hey guys! Not related to ink, but I just got the venture x 🎉 Is there a way to transfer points from Capital One and AMEX to the same airline? I'm new to this, and I will try to use points to fly to Rio de Janeiro in December 😅
Yes hotel is included in travel, No there is going to be interest on this card. If you want a no interest card with no annual fee I recommend the Chase Ink Unlimited, 0% promo apr for 12 months. Here it is bit.ly/jftciu
If I use this card to pay my property taxes for my home, will the transaction count towards the 8 grand needed to accrue the 1200000 points even though its a personal transaction?
Applied for Ink preferred end of June. Called last week about the elevated offer and they said I am eligible to receive the 120k. 😁
Nice congrats. I think the cut off for getting accepted for the extra 20k was around May 23. Enjoy those extra points
Rather than CPP, i like to go for Points Per Flight. I would prefer 5 coach flights to 1 first class.

Just to clarify the $8K minimum spend can be spent on anything!
$8k is the killer. unless i can pay my mortgage. How can i pay my mortgage with the card.

I just got approved for CIP with 10 CL and I’m super excited to get that 120k points. Gotta love huge SUB!

5/24 doesn’t apply to Business Cards. GO FOR IT!
Can you do a referral to another person to get the 40k referral points and they still get the 120k opening bonus?
@johnsfinancetips any idea how to go about doing this?
So after I hit the sign up bonus pretty much close the card on the anniversary date since I already have the Sapphire preferred
