Major respect to you all - the carnage you must witness, the sadness you must feel, the risks you face but the people you also save. Same with our guys & girls here in the UK. Awesome 👏👏👏
The immediate calmness I've personally witnessed in every single Firefighter,EMT & Paramedic I've watched roll up on calls,is the thing that's always stood out to me in this group of people. Whether they've walked into a identical situation 1000 times or walking into a brand new one, their nerves are always the same. & regardless of whether their traits are something they were born with or something that the hundreds of hours of training built into them, they've all got it.
Started as a volunteer firefighter/EMT on Long island then became a Wildland Firefighter working on hot shot crews and helicopter details. I love digging fire line! Personally I hate engines in the world of Wildland firefighting, but damn I love those Forest Service Puke Green color engines 😉 sorry to the people that like the red or yellow engines 😜🙏🤣 God bless my fellow brothas and sistas that are a first responder 🙏🫡
As a Long Islander, fellow human being, AND someone who wanted to be a firefighter but didn’t think she could do it and put herself down…I thank you deeply for your hard work. Keep going.
Switzerland has a militia system for most fire departments. The 8 largest cities have a partially professional fire department. I always wondered how they do that.
I think it’s over 50% of the us is volunteer my town included I believe there is about 14-16 of us that are active at all times we carry our gear with us to work n leave if needed it’s very weird in the volunteer side we train a lot but other stations in other towns are a joke others take it very seriously so it’s very much all over the place with how trained some volunteer departments are
@@PikeTV99 Thanks, I didn't know. Here in Northern California there's a little town called Pike. It's further up in the Sierra Mountains. Love from Marysville, California
I am volunteer firefighter for hummelstown pa and lime green with black is our color fire apparatus and we deal with smells and bells from the alarms and its like another day for any call at anytime
How come people cant just watch the damn video and enjoy it. Always having someone with a critical comment trying to point out every flaw. Nobody is perfect. Let people just enjoy the video

The greatest job in the world also comes with some of the greatest risks. I love telling the stories of firefighters.
All Firefighters and EMT's are our Gaurdian Angels

How we do what exactly ?
Crazy to know that the escape routes are going to be fewer & farther between for evaders.
I'm sorry but I live in Northern California, um, where's Pikeville? Love from Marysville, California
Pikeville is located in Kentucky.

I got a accent just watching this
God forbid, YELLOW TRUCKS.
Red trucks are for parades. Yellow trucks are for work.
I know right?! I’m surprised they didn’t know that they only pump at half the gpm!
My county has yellow trucks. They're career so they get a lot of nightly calls and they're BY FAR easier to see at night than the red trucks.
@@huntermcdoogle4271lime green is where it’s at ;) (Lansing Fire Dept. Lansing NY)
I'd rather dig a fire line for 2 miles than have a forest service puke green engine pull up or worse... Vollys in a red engine 😜🤣
People always have to criticize WTF
Fire trucks are supposed to be red.
Lol😂
Unless your at the airport. 😅
What??
Unless your department runs a lot of night calls it’s proven to be more noticeable on the roads weather light or dark
