It takes a long time to understand that everything works for a reason and when we are stubborn and have to have things work out the way we wanted or planned no matter what instead of going with the flow and trusting God’s will we see what a mess we end up in. It’s taken me 62 years to get this. Thank you for sharing your story.

Even if you get shot by a thrill-kill mass murderer, it was meant for good. I guess that's one way everybody can look at it. So, when all those people die from car accidents, plane crashes, gun shots, unnecessary wars, etc., it was good for them.
Perhaps their sacrifice to die, no matter the circumstance, was probably for our good, the people who are living. Why you don't say, listening to this brought new perspective to my void thinking.

Life is a journey and we learn along the way, I believe that even in the worst situations good will come or positive changes can be made. It's all about the perspective you have on a situation. Since I have listened to the Buddhas attitude towards life it has made me less depressed and I've stopped questioning life's unpredictability, I am more accept to 'what is' and alot more happier.

Reminds me of the story about a farmer whose horse ran away, and his neighbor mentioned to him about having some bad luck. The farmer said he did not believe in bad luck or good luck. They went on and 3 weeks pass, and the farmer's horse returned with 20 more horses, true wild stallions.
His neighbor was excited to tell him of his good luck, but again the farmer mentioned he didn't have time for good luck or bad luck. They go on with the farmer's son breaking in many of the new stallions successfully and was unfortunately thrown off of one of them, breaking his leg in the process. Of course naturally the neighbor voiced that the new livestock might have some bad luck with it. Without hesitation, the farmer voiced in full confidence that he sees no bad luck or good luck, instead that everything actually happens by the good and love of our God the Creator, even with his son's leg totally damaged in a state that would take many months to heal.
3 months pass with the farmer's son walking around with a cane still. There was a gang of criminals traveling through towns, stealing young men to recruit for their gang. They came upon the farmers town where his son was the only correct aged male they were looking for. But since his son had a broken leg, the farmer was able to keep his son that day. After that, the neighbor said he wasn't sure about luck anymore either, but he never forgets that everything happens by the love of our God the Creator.

Great story. I have experienced some stuff that at the time it happened I thought it was unfair but everything happens for the best of the whole. We are just a drop.in the ocean.
I was a heroin addict for 10 years and spent 5 years in Polish prisons.
When I was locked up in 2010 I was devastated but in 2012 I met a guy in jail that introduced me to Osho's books, meditation. I started meditating.
It totally changed my life.
I understood how the world works , found God that is inside each one of us, and in 2015 I left jail. Since 2017 I have my own apartment in Warsaw Poland, a part time job, am on methadone since 2008,
The jail was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. I learned to stand up for myself , before I was ignorant, arrogant , thought that I was tough , but I was a pussy really. I learned patience, I appreciate every moment of life now, realized how short it is when I turned 38 . Today I am 43 . In December I will be turning 44 in 2.5 months
I live with my 4 year old dog. And discipline is also smth. I learned in jail.
If you really believe in smth. With all your mind , heart and soul and are patient and work on your goal or dream every day , the whole universe starts to help you achieve it.
But you have to prove to the universe , God, existence, whatever you wanna call it that you really want it and will not back down no matter what, and you will be tested, obstacles will occur, logs will be thrown under your feet, but it's just the way it is ,the only way to reach heaven is to go through hell, step by step, there are no shortcuts.
Most importantly I stopped hating on people, took responsibility for all my mistakes and stopped blaming others for my past failures. And got a really good relationship with my dad . Before we never really talked to each other. Also my mother passed away to cancer in 2O11 at 55. Had I been not in jail at that time it would be much harder for me to cope with her death.
If smth. Bad happens so it seems at the moment but it is really to teach us a lesson that we need to learn. And if we don't learn it , it will happen until we learn it , in the next lifetimes.

I found this wisdom many years ago. A few days ago, one of my most beloved cats disappeared. He is 10 years old and never left my yard. He was always at the door when I opened it in the morning. I live in a rural area and this has happened to several cats over the years. They were always sweet, good natured cats who never left the yard. When I listened to this video this morning, I realized I had forgotten this Truth that Whatever Happens, Happens for good. In my grief, I could not see why this happened. Now, I am re-awakened to this Truth. I still feel grief, but I know Whatever Happens, Happens for Good.
