Call of the Night, Lycoris Recoil, and Yurei Deco are the standout new shows of the season for me so far. And yes, there are lots of excellent sequels too, but i especially need to mention Jashin-chan s3… it’s always been a bit of a slow burner popularity-wise, but the fact that it got a third season (crowdfunded no less) says a lot for its appeal… plus it’s hilarious 😆
I mean RWBY first three episodes were just a giant recap so they could get to their original story which I’m excited to see what direction it heads in. Shadow house season 2 has been solid call of the night also has been stunning and Lyocris Recoil has been an absolute joy and probably will be the underrated gem of this season
I didn't know this. If so, then I'm tentatively excited again. Because as flashy and pretty as some of the fight scenes are in this anime adaptation, the pacing of the eps is noticeably uneven, and even terribly rushed in ep 3. Fingers crossed.
I think his point still stands since the first episode is suppose to be the eye-catcher that attracts everyone- especially for people who don't know what their watching. Same thing applies to the OP.....which for RWBY:IQ is pretty bad. Like "slideshow using scenes from the series" levels bad.
@@thecriticandi I found the fights in the original superior to the anime. The weren't horrible or any thing in Ice princess but the highest heights of the action weren't as great as the heights of the high during action in the original.

Ice Queendom's first 3 episodes seems more of a homage to the OG, but bear in mind Shaft is animating the manga spin-off so they can only make that much polish until they're truly treading the Ice Queendom story.
So happy Made In Abyss is back. Nooowww I’m just gonna sit here patiently, and hope…hopE that my other favorite from 2017 follows suit and gets a second season too. *Land of the Lustrous don’t be shy now..come on, “psspsspsspss”*

I've been hyped on season 2 for The Devil is a Part-Timer since the rumors about it (and surviving off the manga since I finished the first season), and my excitement is immeasurable and my day is made.
I personally still don't know - after the changes to (character-)art-direction I'm a bit torn on it. But I find it funny how you see all those 'summer anime sequels 2022' compilations lately with basically no one even mentioning Jashin-chan ^^
I love Tokio Mew Mew, i try rewatching it some years ago and the animation made it hard. Also it had a wierd airing of the episodes and never had a proper ending. It feel so good to know that is coming back. Its a shame that the author cant see the final product. She died before the airing of the remake, but was involved with the production.
I'm just glad that this time around the English localization isn't going to be like it was back all those years ago where four kids dubbed only half the episodes and rearranged the episodes while also changing the dialogue and censoring scenes. I think stand I doubt they're going to bring back the original voice actresses though which is a pity since I'm sure most of the original actresses have way more experience now than they did all those years ago.
With Made in Abyss 2, Mob Psycho 3, Devil is a Part-Timer 2 and Classroom of the Elite Season 2 coming out, maybe No Game No Life Season 2 is on the way? Never expected the other ones to come out, so fingers crossed.
Well Made in Abyss and Mob Psycho would always get another season (because of their mainstream status right now), so you shouldn't include them in this scenario.
You have no idea how fucked up the new arc in Made in Abyss is going to be. And the worst part, you are constantly SEEING the fucked up aspect of the story, you just don't know it is fucked up yet... until you do.
As a reader of the manga, it’s fun seeing the reactions of all of those who are experiencing the story for the first time, while I smile sadly, knowing what kind of shit they’re in for lol
"It's been so long that you need to re-watch the first season to know what's happening." What's there to remember? Devil goes to Earth. Works at MgRonalds. Hijinks ensue.
I have been waiting for made in abyss S2 for 5 years since it came out and so far the episodes are absolute bangers with a banger OP and from what i heard , this season is gonna even somehow even be better than the movie and S1 which is insane 🤩
I started watching six shows this season, and there are three I would consider must-watch: Lycoris Recoil, Call of the Night, and Uncle from Another World. Lycoris Recoil in particular really caught me off guard, blazing out of the gate with really strong production and writing. One thing I absolutely respect about it is that it introduces a fucked up dark premise (an organization using orphaned girls to summarily assassinate anyone they deem threatening the peace), but it doesn't work too hard to rub it in that this is screwed up. It's got that high priority A-1 Pictures sheen.
Show I'm watching this season is Call Of The Night. Read the first manga book before it aired, and liked it. And the show itself I am really liking it's choice of color design and shots like flying through the city upside down.
not gonna lie, I mostly clicked on this video bc the pre-roll showed a scene from the Tokyo Mew Mew segment xD I think I'll definitely watch that one, I loved TMM way back when.
Not going to avoid Biscet hammer. I understand your dislike of the animation, but I enjoyed the original Manga and want to bear witness to its anime. The author also did Planet With a couple of years ago, which had better animation, but if you liked the story, you might like this.
Massive fan of the Lucifer and the Buiscuit Hammer manga, whom waited for more than a literal decade for an anime adaptation here. Yeah, it's.. sad, so very sad..
it seems devil is a part timer got good dubs everywhere. the german dub is one of my favorites as well(and FMA Brotherhood too). I hope the german publishers get behind this and cast the original voices again !
I'm a little confused why you thought the RWBY anime didn't skyrocket in animation when a fight occurred. You can literally see the sakuga kick in and honestly it looks amazing. Ruby vs Thugs is a good example.
@@therabitoshowrules No, he said that while talking about the original RWBY Volume 1. For the new anime currently airing, he says that the animation stays the same throughout.
the crazy thing is going purely off the first two episodes, devil is a part timer season one from 9 years ago had way higher quality animation. the new animation isn't bad per say, but it's definitely not nearly as good as before. guess maybe that's why it took so long to come back. the show had trouble finding a studio that would match the quality of the first season and eventually had to settle for less quality, probably due to budget constraints.
My favorites this season are: call of the night, tokyo mew mew new ( I watched the original one back when I was a kid ), vermeil in gold and The Yakuza's Guide to Babysitting. Others, I didn't like much
Canon Anime movies have become surprisingly more popular than you think, Demon Slayer, Jujutsukaisen, Konosuba, Bunny Girl Senpai, Dragon Ball Broly, Gintama and iirc Violet Evergarden all got canon releases. remember no game no life zero? lmao
I get what you mean about Made in Abyss, Steins;Gate, Clannad, and Made in Abyss are my 3 favorite of all time (no particular order). I do know what you mean about changing favorites, and I get it fully, while I like these three I rarely feel anything comes to the same level. I don't watch anime seasonally because I love these anime, I watch in hopes of finding something I will love even more. Made in Abyss is certainly on that level, its not that I dislike anime, just a lot of OK anime, and we as humans always have the want for something more, or something greater. Its hard to hit that kinda level, but when it happens it makes the time spent watching everything else worth while. I'm very much a sucker for sad anime, it makes me feel.
Ever since I got into anime I have been keeping a list of anime I've watched, dropped, or plan on watching, along with short thoughts on them. And I remember watching Tokyo Mew Mew!! It's in my 'dropped' section, with the comment: "gave me cavities" lol. But maybe I'll check out the reboot...?
I that some people have already mentioned this show, but Summertime Render is a show I hope to see you cover as it's one of the most intriguing shows to watch in the entire year so far. (In terms of new shows that started airing in 2022) It does take elements from similar anime like it but applies a unique twist to it that keeps you guessing what might happen in the next episode. The only downside I see to this show is where it's located, for two reasons. One: It's on Disney+, and since it looks like Disney has now taken the mantel of jailing its content until it's fully released, meaning it won't be legally public to the people at least until the end of the summer season lineup. Two: The content within the show does not seem to really fit Disney's core demographic which I can assume would be more geared toward children and adults that enjoy their IPS. Both of these problems are definitely why this show has been slipping under everyone's radar and killing all the hype it most likely would have garnered if it had been licensed by Crunchyroll instead. It's a shame because I believe this had what it takes to become one of (if not the) best shows to come out in the year 2022.
I'm enjoying the new RWBY thus far. It is different, but they've made such big improvements with the 3D since season 1 I'm not sure I'd enjoy it on a rewatch as I originally did. This way I can experience it again with a fresh coat of paint. And I for one thought it was neat seeing them adapt the trailers into the story. It also seems be setting up a different story with the nightmare infecting grim and all. I don't remember that, or the hunter mage looking lady, from the original. It might just be some side plot thing that doesn't affect the main story, but it's still nice to see some new stuff.
If you wanted to watch Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer just go back and watch Planet With. It's a similar show in many ways but is about a million times better in every way (and it doesn't seem like many people actually watched Planet With when it was airing). Lycoris Recoil, Summer Time Rendering and When Will Ayumu Make His Move are all well worth watching for actual shows this season though
Since I didn't catch you mentioning classroom of the elite, I HIGHLY recommend it. Season 1 came out in 2017, and just like the devil is a part timer I never expected a season 2.
@@Swanlord1 kinda, the creator and many fans of the source material didn't like the adaptation as a whole but Lerche said "Fuck it, let's do another one"
when people argue about sub vs dubs most use cowboy bebop as a argument and as good as it is i use devil is a part timer, and once again chiho. the sub chiho is just ok but the dub is so great. on rwby i heard they are going to tell a different story. they will follow up to volume 2 but then the story will change. thats the only thing im curious about and ill wait the 2-3 seasons then bing it to see if its worth.
Overlord, devil is a part timer and made in abyss all great, now on to the new stuff. Vermil in gold best PLOT driven anime this season right next to dungeon harem. Uncle from another world, yakuza babysitting, black summoner and I gained another skill class after gaining a slime harem and call of the night are my watches this season
I can’t wait to see the Danmachi expedition arc get animated in this fourth season, I’m hoping it’ll be the best we’ve seen yet. It can really get to the top if given justice.
Besides still being more than a bit annoyed at Rooster Teeth for some of their actions, I still gave Ice Queendom a chance. And like Arcadia said, it came off as flat in some areas. It just didn't have any flair or passion it felt like. Still, not that different from most shows, a bit disappointing but not bad overall... Then... Then they showed the twist. Ignore the rest of my post below if you don't want to be spoiled. When Jaune fell ill due to that Grimm... I could understand HIS team being in the infirmary with him and getting an explanation. But why the hell was an entirely different team there? Why was it the members of Team RWBY that got dialogue during this scene rather than JNPR? Oh, yeah. Because it was a hamfisted attempt at changing the plot without any logic to back it up. It just came off as so damn clunky and obvious... Then there's just the disappointment I felt that they changed the portion of the show Monty made. If they had introduced changes at the end of Vol. 3, or Vol. 4? I wouldn't have minded as much as Monty didn't have a say over that. But making this kind of change right from the start? It just didn't sit right with me.
Tokyo Mew Mew New is already my anime of the season!! It means everything to me as a long time fan seeing it rebooted, I remember waking up to Mew Mew Power on 4Kids at like 6 in the morning so enthralled by it. My first magical girl anime and my favorite all these years later! 😸🍓💗✨
Lycoris and Yurei Deco have been really good so far. In the case of RWBY, it's not planning to follow the story. The first 3 episodes did a quick recap with some original elements, and from here on, it'll follow along an original script by Urobutchi, hence the "Ice Queendom" title. Now excuse me while I go back to crying over Biscuit Hammer.
Can’t believe you didn’t even mention that new rwby is being handled by Gen urobuchi. Rwby has a predominantly young female cast. And we’ve seen how urobutcher likes to treat young women in anime.
I keep holding out hope we'll get an Angel Densetsu reboot. A continuation wouldn't hurt, but the OVAs only covered the first volume of the manga and are old as balls, so it would probably be better off to just reboot the sucker. And maybe a Baccano reboot/continuation once Narita has everything finished. Baccano was ok enough that you could use season 1 as a launch pad for the further content, though they did leave out stuff that becomes important later and changed some stuff that makes no damn sense going forward, so a more novel accurate reboot wouldn't really hurt either. 1930 would be a little bit of a review since 1930 was the most complete in adaption of the 3.1 novels they used for content, but there's also a lot of the story that was left out that becomes relevent later, so a reboot wouldn't hurt either.
This season I'm probably watching the least out of every season this year, courtesy of there's way too many sequels to shows that I haven't even watched the previous seasons from. Let's get one gripe out of the way, I'm saddened by the adaptation of "Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer" and I haven't even read the manga outside of the first 4 chapters. It's a classic early 2000s manga and it should be treated with much more love than what it gets. Made in Abyss is definitely gonna be my favorite of the season, and most likely anime of the year too if there isn't either some unexpected sleeper hit or they manage to mess up the season, which from the way things are going is not gonna happen, because so far the changes they've done for the anime only improved the show. I recently compiled a list of my favorite animanga- and LN-story-arcs together and found that the Golden City arc of Made in Abyss made it all the way up to number 17 (it was 11 first, but I've put some in there that I previously didn't exactly know how to put into arcs) Yofukashi no Uta so far gives off a very relaxing vibe and its color palette is so unique and vibrant it perfectly captures the feeling of a walk in the night. Definitely not the best, but very fun so far. And now we come to one of the potential sleeper hits: Lycoris Recoil. If there's any anime out right now that I can see absolutely becoming a hidden gem, it's this one. Perfectly blends a CGDCT with gun-wielding-assassin/secret-agent premise and in only 3 episode there's been so much amazing characterization you just cannot help but love every one of the main cast members. The chemistry between the characters is off the charts and the story so far is unexpectedly intriguing. Bottom of the season, and the whole year so far, for me, makes Classroom of the Elite season 2. Still the same old edgy emotionless and lifelessly presented bore that misses everything it could do to make you care about its characters. Only reason I'm still watching is because I'm interested in the point system of the school as a whole. At least the latest episode was decent. Aaaaand that was all
You forgot the new thing where the movie is sliced up into the anime (Demon Slayer, Boruto) I hate it whe that happens, cuz I ALREADY SAW THE MOVIE. I actually dropped Boruto when that started, lol
As someone who was a huge fan of log horizan I watched it every 3 to 4 years since it aired, I watched the 3rd season and was just kindof dissapointed, its just what was there already but a little more which is fine but its not all that exciting
It kinda bugs me when people talk about RWBY's animation like it was in Volume 1 and 2 as if it's still that bad. It's gotten better every season and we're gearing up for Volume 9
Hmm ... Devil is a part-timer S2 - yes, YES, I loved the first one RWBY - never did it for me, I watched a bit of the original, did not grab me That catgirl show - not available in my region Made in Abyss - not available in my region Anyway, currently watching Spriggan on NEtflix ... any thoughts of that ? Looks like a remaster of the original. If memory serves the episodes are identical...
Honestly as a RWBY fan the anime is definitely not new comer friendly, even though it’s supposedly going to be its own thing because the first 3 episodes (well 2 & a half since episode 3 starts finally adding majority of the newer stuff in now) mostly adapting like half of the original RWBY already which is actually only no more than two hours long, altogether of the current 3 episodes out it’s a hour long already and it has already cut out a good quarter of most of the original RWBY, and again let me tell you this again most of the first 3 episodes of this anime was adapting from the original RWBY which is roughly 2 hours long but with so far a hour long length they have already cut out a quarter of what was in the original RWBY. Actually if it wasn’t because of my prior knowledge of RWBY I would’ve not even cared for team JNPR at all because the anime has hardly done anything with them yet that would’ve made you care about them at all. Now I am enjoying the RWBY anime but that’s only because I am a RWBY fan and know a lot of context of RWBY already that the anime hasn’t touched and skipped over, which is why I can say that if you are new to RWBY don’t watch the anime until you have at least seen RWBY volume 1 and honestly keep watching until you finished volume 3 as though it is going too have its own story I’m definitely expecting a lot of stuff that are going too be adapted from the original RWBY but I don’t except it too go beyond volume 3 (if they did that would make it worser than it already is for new comers and honestly for the fans of the series too)
I'm a little surprised that Overlord Season 4 wasn't mentioned in this video given the fact we had to wait 4 years for it. Like I didn't even think we would get another season after the last season but I am glad I am wrong and it's fantastic even CGI has improved from last season .. "insert Goblin army"....
There's been a loooooot of lowlight animes this year man A LOT, so many of them doing the literal same thing pretending like its something original when its not
Call of the Night is pretty good. Reminds me of Monogatari, but less ecchi & no head tilts😂 RIP to LN readers when you started talking about Part-Timer lol…
Call Of The Night is being directed by the same director who did the Monogatari Series. That's why the anime feels so Monogatari like. He's the perfect director for the series to. Especially with the whole supernatural vampire drama, mystery, romance, and occasional action that's in Call Of The Night. It's very much like the Monogatari Series, just without the whole harem thing
RWBY IQ was in a weird spot since they basically were telling that "hey we are going to do a new thing" while still keeping it under wraps. It kind of reminded me of their strategy with madoka, for people who knew, it was a normal magical girl show until episode 3 in which it came out and did it's own thing. Considering that it is Urobutchi / Shaft production I'm pretty sure it's intentional lol. They even did a whole trailer with scenes only from episode 1 so yeah (and now we got a new trailer with all the new stuff, I guess, you didn't have the time to add that to the video) From episode 4 (or after the hour long pre broadcast episode) we will get something completely new.
None manga reader here and i love seeing the manga readers commenting some of the most cryptic things about certain lines and forshadowing. Getting me so pumped and scared about what im about to witness. Thank you for this experience.
@@redwolf6213 Oh boy, I only read up to a certain point in the manga (about the fourth episode of the second season) and even knowing some of what happened… I was barely prepared for what I knew would happen, and I was *not* prepared for the rest.
So sad to see what happened to Hoshi no Samidare/Buscuit Hammer. There is a complication on reddit showing tweets of the author over the last 12 years how much he wanted it and its really sad to see how he continually got rejected for an adaptation. (can't post link comment gets deleted) He was so exited for this adaptation and its really sad to see how disappointing the animation is, but he was happy with any anime at all and his latest tweets seem to show that he is happy with the bare minimum. Its such a shame because his work deserves so much better as it is some of the better manga out there.
Made in Abyss makes you feel human, super excited for this, there is maybe 1 anime every 2-3 years which makes me happy for watching as many shows I can each season. Its one of those anime's which leaves an empty void in you, you get so invested, that once it ends, you feel like you've lost something valuable to you. Steins;Gate, Clannad, and Made in Abyss are the only anime's which have ever done that to me. Its one of those gems where it makes the 'meh' anime in between until you find it worth while. So many 'meh' anime out there, very few leave you with a feeling of satisfaction, really just the sense of witnessing something great in the making. Made in Abyss is surely one of those.
I’ve been a fan of the manga for probably 4 or 5 years now, and I only just watched Season 1 and the movies within the last few weeks, and then I coincidentally learned that Season 2 was starting, so now I can finally watch this as it airs. Absolutely LOVING it so far. I love the story choices they made in the adaptation. One thing I think about Made in Abyss is that it thrives on making you feel uncomfortable, and within each arc is a mixture of both dread and hope. I feel like that’s an intentional mirroring of the nightmares carried within the Abyss itself, as well as Riko’s near endless optimism and excitement. I like how you said it makes you feel human. It’s like struggling with life, how each new day has the potential for both bad and good.
To quote Aaox on Made In Abyss Dawn Of The Deep Soul: "I brought a friend along to watch it with me for much the same reason homicide detectives work in pairs." If that doesn't sum up Made In Abyss in one line, nothing will.
I too am old & happy to see Devil is a Part-timer again. I like how Basement avoided Mew Mew with a passion while GR goes headlong into it. Made in Abyss, like watch Grave of the Fireflies, but you like it. Isekai Meikyuu de Harem o, got an anime started this season which I am liking so far, cause I love the manga & the animation is rather amazing, but again, like the manga, it's gonna be the slowest burn. & sadly Crunchyroll has the most censored version of an anime I've seen in a while, puts World's End Harem to shame. But GoGoAnime exists.
With the amount of anime being made every season reaching a higher and higher peak toward critical mass, it was only a question of statistics of when the first season that was majority sequels and spin off would hit. It has arrived, dear god.
@@tonightscake4127 Lycoris is a decently well animated series heavy on the girls-with-guns trope, but with quite good characterization both in design and scripting, telling a story that centers around very serious and mission-driven agent, Takina, who is banished to a branch office for disobeying orders to perform an action that was almost certainly necessary to save the life of a friend, and the cheerful prodigy, Chisato, who has chosen to the backwater branch office life, but does her best to make Takina welcome and help her earn her way back into HQ's graces. The background setting is really over the top and really very dark if you think about it -- a government organization that raises orphan girls to be secret agents who gun down violent criminals with impunity -- but if you swallow the precept with a healthy suspension of disbelief and pretend it's only "slightly uneasy" instead of a dystopian nightmare, then the character relations and intrigues layered on top of that backdrop do flow really well, and interspersed with well-directed action sequences that keep things exciting.
Tokyo mew mew was my first manga and first anime knowing it was anime. You can tell by my name that It´s my favorite of all time. I´ve ordered merch to hint to the studio that we already need a season 2. This will have 12 episodes and there is no way they can cover the manga with just that
Well I hope this adaptation does the series Justice since we never actually got the second half of the series as 4-kids did not get the rights to it so we ended this off on an unresolved cliffhanger. I'd be curious to see whether they could still get the right to the Original Series in its entirety and give it a more modern dub but I doubt that may happen. That said if this new adaptation does cover the manga in its entirety I'd love to see them adopt the sequel series.
RWBY: Ice Queendom - and I cannot stress this enough - HAS NOT STARTED YET! The first three episodes are a condensed speedrun of the trailers and first volume of the series that exists TO BE AN INTRODUCTION! Episode 3 ends with Weiss falling into a Nightmare that is an original plot point and for all we know, may take the rest of the season to resolve. Even if it doesn't, I doubt at this point that Ice Queendom is just going to continue adapting the existing material in as direct a way as it did with its first three episodes. They hurried through their introduction, and only now are we about to see what this anime really has to offer. Episode 4 this Sunday is going to be where Ice Queendom truly begins, and I am reserving all judgment until I see how they run with their original plotline. If it's still 'meh' after that, then oh well, but I do not believe the first 3 episodes anything to judge the series' quality by.
I hope it gets better, because what I want from a new RWBY animation is probably not going to get done outside of fanfiction (fleshing out Team JNPR, Cinder's training under Salem, Continued use of the rest of Team SSSN, and some of Qrow's missions outside of the kingdom).
Not a lotta people are talking about Tokyo Mew Mew New, but i am super excited for it. It was literally my childhood and my first anime, and to see it again in a new way, I'm looking forward to going on the journey again.
I'm not for or against your argument of the Ice Queendom, just because 1) you only talk about the first episode (I'm assuming that was the only one out when you recorded this) and 2) it's a recap episode, which the top three problems I always hear about them is "they left out info" or "it was rushed" or "it was a waste of time." Seems a little harsh to hypothesize about "passion vs work" with what we got, but I acknowledge that fear and recognize you too hope you are incorrect on that statement. I don't think your WRONG in your analysis of the different styles of RWBY, but I personally was pretty impressed at the Ruby vs Torchwick fight scene (even incorporating Roman's grapple hook that wasn't written in until volume 2 during his escape; to me, that says they care and are familiar with the material enough to make logical changes at least. Small detail, but caught my attention.). Do all the rest of the scenes have that "flat mid" you talked about? I'm going to say yes, but I'd argue more "bad" scenes were raised than "good" scenes were lowered, mostly because when RWBY was first released, it was a test season, with not a lot of budget going into backgrounds and animation until the fighting starts. I'd be really interested in your opinion when the series is over, as well as my own.

Ice Queendom's first 3 episodes seems more of a homage to the OG, but bear in mind Shaft is animating the manga spin-off so they can only make that much polish until they're truly treading the Ice Queendom story.
So happy Made In Abyss is back.

Don't forget Spice and Wolf season 2 (3? depends how you count) on the horizon!

Interesting take with the new RWBY and tbh I agree. A very unique mixed bag when compared to the original. Hopefully it turns out well

Literally just here to see if Fuuto Pi is included
I started watching six shows this season, and there are three I would consider must-watch: Lycoris Recoil, Call of the Night, and Uncle from Another World. Lycoris Recoil in particular really caught me off guard, blazing out of the gate with really strong production and writing. One thing I absolutely respect about it is that it introduces a fucked up dark premise (an organization using orphaned girls to summarily assassinate anyone they deem threatening the peace), but it doesn't work too hard to rub it in that this is screwed up. It's got that high priority A-1 Pictures sheen.
Your sarcasm is elite
Show I'm watching this season is Call Of The Night. Read the first manga book before it aired, and liked it. And the show itself I am really liking it's choice of color design and shots like flying through the city upside down.
Didn’t see Aoshi in this vid so I’m recommending it here. AMAZING soccer/football anime that is way under-appreciated

Not going to avoid Biscet hammer. I understand your dislike of the animation, but I enjoyed the original Manga and want to bear witness to its anime. The author also did Planet With a couple of years ago, which had better animation, but if you liked the story, you might like this.

MADE IN ABYSS!!!!! So hyped
it seems devil is a part timer got good dubs everywhere. the german dub is one of my favorites as well(and FMA Brotherhood too). I hope the german publishers get behind this and cast the original voices again !
I'm a little confused why you thought the RWBY anime didn't skyrocket in animation when a fight occurred. You can literally see the sakuga kick in and honestly it looks amazing. Ruby vs Thugs is a good example.
He said the opposite. He said the animation is much better during fights
@@therabitoshowrules No, he said that while talking about the original RWBY Volume 1. For the new anime currently airing, he says that the animation stays the same throughout.
The new Rwby already skipped the Jaundice part so narratives lows are safely dodged
the crazy thing is going purely off the first two episodes, devil is a part timer season one from 9 years ago had way higher quality animation. the new animation isn't bad per say, but it's definitely not nearly as good as before. guess maybe that's why it took so long to come back. the show had trouble finding a studio that would match the quality of the first season and eventually had to settle for less quality, probably due to budget constraints.
But maybe I'll check out the reboot...?
maybe switch it to a list of give it a chance and maybe a second watch might change your mind
Yurei Deco is gonna be freaking amazing.
Call of the Night, Call of the Night, Call of the Night, Call of the Night. It's so pretty!

Wait - Tokyo Mew Mew?!!!? BRB going to grab my middle school copies of the manga. I DID NOT EXPECT THIS
A LA MODE ~~
I'm enjoying the new RWBY thus far. It is different, but they've made such big improvements with the 3D since season 1 I'm not sure I'd enjoy it on a rewatch as I originally did. This way I can experience it again with a fresh coat of paint. And I for one thought it was neat seeing them adapt the trailers into the story. It also seems be setting up a different story with the nightmare infecting grim and all. I don't remember that, or the hunter mage looking lady, from the original. It might just be some side plot thing that doesn't affect the main story, but it's still nice to see some new stuff.
Call Of The Night is the best new anime of the summer season. Caught up on the manga and things are pretty crazy so far .

Does ice queendom still do the Bebop reference?
when people argue about sub vs dubs most use cowboy bebop as a argument and as good as it is i use devil is a part timer, and once again chiho. the sub chiho is just ok but the dub is so great. on rwby i heard they are going to tell a different story. they will follow up to volume 2 but then the story will change. thats the only thing im curious about and ill wait the 2-3 seasons then bing it to see if its worth.
I like to describe RWBY as a show that threatens you with a good time but never delivers.
Think you would be able to review Komi can’t communicate and kotaro lives alone. Do you know that they are making a made in abyss video game.
hoping you cover engage kiss, it's been quite the show so far
also looks like depression fuel considering the events of the newest episode
I recently compiled a list of my favorite animanga- and LN-story-arcs together and found that the Golden City arc of Made in Abyss made it all the way up to number 17 (it was 11 first, but I've put some in there that I previously didn't exactly know how to put into arcs)
Yofukashi no Uta so far gives off a very relaxing vibe and its color palette is so unique and vibrant it perfectly captures the feeling of a walk in the night.
Aaaaand that was all
How is no one talking about Summertime Render?
You forgot the new thing where the movie is sliced up into the anime (Demon Slayer, Boruto)
I hate it whe that happens, cuz I ALREADY SAW THE MOVIE. I actually dropped Boruto when that started, lol
Why didn’t he mention the Trigun reboot
All I ever wanted was berserk please just give it to me
As someone who was a huge fan of log horizan I watched it every 3 to 4 years since it aired, I watched the 3rd season and was just kindof dissapointed, its just what was there already but a little more which is fine but its not all that exciting
All I'm saying is it diddnt warrent a whole new season if its not going to be better
It kinda bugs me when people talk about RWBY's animation like it was in Volume 1 and 2 as if it's still that bad. It's gotten better every season and we're gearing up for Volume 9
Hmm ...
Devil is a part-timer S2 - yes, YES, I loved the first one
RWBY - never did it for me, I watched a bit of the original, did not grab me
That catgirl show - not available in my region
Made in Abyss - not available in my region
Anyway, currently watching Spriggan on NEtflix ... any thoughts of that ?

@@CleanUpNick Hopefully they focus on it a little. lately its been bare.
It’s the same director as Monigatari , Tomoyuki Itamura
Call Of The Night is being directed by the same director who did the Monogatari Series. That's why the anime feels so Monogatari like. He's the perfect director for the series to. Especially with the whole supernatural vampire drama, mystery, romance, and occasional action that's in Call Of The Night. It's very much like the Monogatari Series, just without the whole harem thing
9:30 I heavily disagree. Animation in the op is essentially wasted when it could be used in the show instead. Vinland saga does this well imo.
They even did a whole trailer with scenes only from episode 1 so yeah (and now we got a new trailer with all the new stuff, I guess, you didn't have the time to add that to the video)
From episode 4 (or after the hour long pre broadcast episode) we will get something completely new.

So sad to see what happened to Hoshi no Samidare/Buscuit Hammer.
There is a complication on reddit showing tweets of the author over the last 12 years how much he wanted it and its really sad to see how he continually got rejected for an adaptation. (can't post link comment gets deleted)
He was so exited for this adaptation and its really sad to see how disappointing the animation is, but he was happy with any anime at all and his latest tweets seem to show that he is happy with the bare minimum. Its such a shame because his work deserves so much better as it is some of the better manga out there.
Just realising that this is one of the very few channels on UA-cam that has been consistently high quality for over ten years. Keep it up brother
To quote Aaox on Made In Abyss Dawn Of The Deep Soul: "I brought a friend along to watch it with me for much the same reason homicide detectives work in pairs."
If that doesn't sum up Made In Abyss in one line, nothing will.
And it's summer. We haven't even hit the fall season yet. That's gonna be just as big.
Lycoris Recoil is also a really good series that you should check out this season and it has 3 Ep so far
What do you like about it?
Yea that’s a very good one 👌
@@tonightscake4127 you need to watch it to understand
@@wonkagaming8750 Pretty subjective take, but okay. Probably gonna pass on it for now.
My dude only bringing up a terrible anime in his video to trash a friend's recommendation, absolutely amazing 10/10.
I didn’t even know Log Horizon got a third season. Thanks! I was really not watching anime last year so that makes sense.
God gotta catch up.
Some other things worth looking at are Isekai Ojisan (which is stupid funny), Lycoris Recoil and Shadows House 2.
Devil is a Part-Timer was NINE years ago‽
Made in Abyss is one of my favorite anime as well
Super Hyped for the new season! 💚

I'd be really interested in your opinion when the series is over, as well as my own.
so far, 3 episodes in, isekai ojisan seems to be the best new anime of this season. and if it continues, is probably going to be one of the better ones, if not one of the best, for this year. 🤞
Too bad Netflix has the rights and they have a bad habit of releasing the show well after the season has already finished.
