This performance was amazing. Friday night at Martini Blu was my first time seeing Eric perform, and I am just so inspired. The way he connects with his instrument and fully expresses himself with no holding back is just simply amazing. His stage presence, skill, and passion is so pure.

Hmmm, This tune isn't Jazz to begin with, it's instrumental R&B pop. So, not sure why Cannonball Adderley would be rolling his eyes. Also, Smooth Jazz is not a genre of music. It's a radio format.

This is why its hard to break into music these days. With groups like these, its hard to stand alone and get noticed. Each band is unique, but only one gets picked...too much competition. If Stevie was born in todays times, he probably wouldnt blow up like he did during the 70's. He would have to compete with thousands of others who are blind and playing piano. Its crazy, but true..

Marco Aiello yes listen to him as much as you can , and try to imitate the sound on the horn. A huge part of our sound is not on the horn, rather in your mind. So if you can hear it, you can imitate it as well. On any horn.
