Here after the playoff win…. Oh how far we’ve come 🥲 I remember how disappointing this game was wow. The quintricia era opened up with an immediate “uh oh”
Jim Bob Cooter has been massively overrated ever since he started as OC. He got a lot of credit and benefit of the doubt after the team seemingly had a massive turnaround after Lombardi and Mayhew were fired halfway through 2015. But if you look at what teams we played in 2015 before Lombardi got fired and after, you see the turnaround was actually due more to the schedule getting easier than it was Cooter's coaching. In the first half of 2015, 6 out of the 8 games the Lions played were against Playoff contenders. In the second half, only 2 out of those 8 games were against a playoff team: the Packers. But Cooter took over a Lions team that had gone 1-7, went to Lambeau field, and won. Well, actually, he didn't win so much as benefit from a missed field goal by Mason Crosby. The losing streak at Lambeau was broken but history doesn't remember the asterisks attached to each game. But the bottom line is we were only able to salvage 2015 because we got to play a bunch of crappy and mediocre teams the second half of it. Then, 2016 happened. Again, we were able to get wins against the teams we should beat, but when things were on the line or we played a good team, we crumbled. In 2017, same thing happened. Not to mention 2017 we really SHOULD have gone 7-9 because if Aaron Rodgers had stayed healthy the Packers would have swept us rather than the opposite. But Jim Bob Cooter's offensive scheme has not proven itself ONCE. It did not "fix" Stafford, and clearly last night's game was an indicator of that. Besides, if Jim Bob Cooter was the guy to "fix" Stafford, why wasn't Stafford fixed when Cooter was the Quarterbacks Coach? This guy has had two and a half seasons to prove he can do the job and he hasn't done it. He's only ridden high on having a schedule conveniently weaken his second week on the job. Retaining him was a mistake. Hiring Matt Patricia was a mistake. Hiring Bob Quinn was a mistake. Bob Quinn is nothing more than Bill Ford reborn, because all he has done personnel-wise is hire people based on friendship over ability.

He wont get 100 yards rushing with 5 carries. Plus why did we get rid of Ebron? He caught 4 for 5 passes and got a touchdown 26 yards deep and caught it effortlessly in Indy... we pay more for Ansah and he cant stay healthy.
