- Dad raced the six days and mom captured the footage on Super 8 film.
FYI - Team USA have blue helmets with white stripes.
The 47th ISDT took place in Spindlruv Myln, Czechoslovakia now in the Czech Republic.
The Trophy was won by the home Czechoslovakia Team of P Cemus, F Mrazek, J Cisar, Z Cespiva, J Briza, J Fojtik.
The Silver Vase competition was won by the Czech “A” team P Valek, M Jedlicka, J Rabas, P Cihelka.
The winning Club team was Ruda Hvezda 1

Afriend of mone ran in that event. His name is Billy Uhl.
I met Billy then and we had a wild night on the town in Vienna Austria before we flew home. Billy was on the USA Gold Team and a fine guy.
@@rlhauk3715 Billy and I spent time logging out mountain trails in Idaho many years ago. He was the first trail ranger Idaho Department of Parks hired when we started the OHV trail maintenence program.
Very cool. I’ll mention him to my father.

Jim, who did your Dad race for and what did he ride ?
He rode a Yamaha and was sponsored by Ralph Strong mc dealership in Waterford, CT I believe. I’ll confirm with him though…
