could decoke my crusader on a Sunday morning and still be at pub for 12...unfortunately while changing oil , found hadn't replaced drain plug, got a right rollicking from Dad,oil all over his new tarmac..spent next hour or so scrubbing with Daz & Hot water!!! Happy days.....
I get the earache from my wife these days, even though I put a sheet of cardboard under the bike the oil still runs under it.. Yes detergent and elbow grease does the job 👍
Thanks for another helpful video. What was the name of the sealant you used? Regarding the burnt oil build up in the head, some of this could get washed down to the crankcase and end up sitting on the oil filter screen, so the larger pieces should not get into the pump but would you suggest cleaning the filter screen and the oil purifier when doing a top end service? Lastly, what it your watch, it looks good? Thanks again Paul
I'm sure I replied to this already, re the watch. It's a 1960s RAF with a modern strap. The sump plate should be taken off and cleaned with the oil change every month, or 1000 miles as recommended by the oil manufacturer. Once you've scraped the purifier plug out, it should stay clean for many years, and only need checking every 2 or 3 years.
A good demo Dean, thanks
Great video mate will de coke my red hunter real soon. Cheers mate from Australia 🇦🇺
