  • On Tuesday, China conveyed "strong concern" over the visit of a high-level US Congress delegation to Dharamshala to meet with the Dalai Lama and urged US President Joe Biden not to sign the Tibet policy bill, threatening "resolute measures".

      @@Snowland_Man Incorrect. Tibet was de-factor independent for 40 years out of the last 304, and during that time it quickly turned into a theocratic slave state complete with human sacrifice. Additionally, the PLA entered Chamdo in 1950, not 49, and in '51 they reached an agreement. There was never a military occupation.

    • @exobabiees2561
      @exobabiees2561 9 днів тому +1

      It's important to have a nuanced view of international relations. Supporting Tibet is not about creating a new war front or provoking China. It's about standing up for human rights, religious freedom, and the preservation of cultural identity. These are universal values that transcend politics and are essential for a just and peaceful world.
      Additionally, using terms like "zombie" and "poking the dragon" is misleading and incorrect. Such language detracts from constructive dialogue. We should focus on promoting peaceful dialogue and mutual understanding to address these important issues.

    • @zacanger
      @zacanger 8 днів тому +1

      @@exobabiees2561The US doesn't care one bit about human rights. Our government knows that Tibet was a hellhole before 1951, literally a slave state with human sacrifices, but is okay with returning to that if it means China losing some important territory. It's the same reason we pushed the Xinjiang thing despite never finding any actual evidence outside of reports written by Raytheon. They know that ETIM is a terrorist organization, but would happily turn Xinjiang into another Afghanistan if it meant blocking BRI.
      The US isn't thinking about this from a "peaceful dialog" or "mutual understanding" sort of position, the US wants to do anything it can to hold on to its rapidly declining influence in the East, that's all this is.
