In my opinion, Randall Kennedy did a very poor job representing his point of view on free speech. That may have been his plan. Clearly Jonathan Turley won this debate on free speech.
Randall Kennedy is tone deaf to the environment he clearly promotes. @ 47:50 he argues that if conservatives on campus want to speak, SPEAK. Easy for him to say when you are in an environment where you will be ostracized for your views. These kids want to succeed - learn. If they feel they cannot, then the administration has failed in that they have created an environment where "free speech" is promoted, as long as it is speech they agree with. In addition, as he continues to bloviate and raises his voice - it is clear he is defensive. To be clear, Randall Kennedy is illustrative of the problem @ Harvard. Hope he learned something from this debate, but it appears he has not. Lost opportunity.
One of the most important 60 minutes of our times, but sadly Cardi B or Dua Lipa will get 8M times the viewership. A sad commentary on 2024 and beyond!
Professor Turley rightly denounces what he calls, “The Age of Rage,” on the Left, but why has he not similarly condemned the far-right talk radio host, Mark Levin, instead of legitimizing his virulent rage against Liberals by appearing on Levin’s cable TV program?
@@djyoutubo Laugh all you want at Levin’s antics, but I assure you that he does not consider his radio program a joke. Turley is a hypocrite for ignoring Levin’s demonizing Democrats as “the enemy within.” I don’t think Turley would find that amusing were he publicly confronted by that rage.
@ He constantly is screaming and calling most Democrats “stupid,” “low I.Q,” etc. Constantly insulting Liberals is not mere indignation. It’s rage. I would like to see Turley confronted by Levin’s infantile name-calling and hear his opinion on such abusive rhetoric.
@@JeffreySilberman fair enough, but in fairness to Levin, a cornerstone of the Democrat party is accepting that a man is a woman, which is pretty stupid (and fundamental)
The ending poll tells the most important story … being exposed to competing ideas can change minds.
I thought we already knew this answer, it is no they obviously don't.

I listen to Levin on AM radio. He's hilarious, but where exactly is his "rage?"
