    A bmw x2 is literally the most pointless car ever, it's not spacious, comfortable, sporty, good looking or have any real reason to exist. If it had a non German badge on it, it would be utterly shredded by critics

      Couldn't that be said about the vast majority of small "SUV"s?
      A sports car is fun on twisty roads, SUVs aren't.
      A utility vehicle is one you can chuck fencing, cement, cow shit, rubble... in the back of, you can't do that with SUVs.

      @@tomcardale5596 totally agree. Just the x2 is one I find particularly offensive. They're less practical than normal suvs or particularly estates, worse to drive and more expensive to run than a hatch, less economical, aerodynamic and pretty much utterly pointless haha

    Or buy an estate: the physics of not being so pointlessly high will mean it will be better in every way
    By buying an SUV, you're harming your own pocket and the environment (extra weight hurting emissions, fuel economy, servicing, tyres, etc.) and driving a fundamentally worse car. You're also taking up more room on the road (both in terms of width and height - blocking others' view of the road ahead) and in parking spaces, and annoying other drivers further by blinding them with your high-set headlights. You're also more likely to kill a pedestrian if you hit them because of your higher front end and you're more likely to roll over in a crash.
    So, more unsafe, slower, worse handling, worse riding, worse for the environment and more expensive.
    But you get to sit up high - and that feels 'commanding'.

    • @julianevans9548
      @julianevans9548 5 років тому +6

      And they all look like vans with windows.
      It shows how simple the human brain is: you feel 'superior' when you're higher up. That's the underlying reason why people buy SUVs.

    • @julianevans9548
      @julianevans9548 5 років тому +5

      My criticisms/ranting do not apply to people who find SUVs/crossovers easy to get in and out of due to injuries, disabilities, etc.

    This is a great car I own the top end model,
    4 six footers in this car is ok
    Sports button pressed it gives you more power gives you a bit more nip
    The gearbox is very very smooth you can’t feel it changing while I test drove a £50K GLC Mercedes the Kia blow it away I owned an AClass before this Kia the Kia is slightly better,
    What people don’t know is, if you wanted a lot more power, spend £100 on a mapping chip which gives you another 50/60 more hp, this process will take 45mins, and sometimes this will bring down your emissions after, it’s a great car I’m proud of, I was the first person in the area to have this model, now there are loads,
    *If anyone does want to put a higher chip in this car, go for the smallest,
    If you go higher you may need to upgrade the disc and break pads, because your travelling faster,
    All in All it’s a great car to have,
    And I forgot to mention you can run a cable which you can hide to the rear seats via the rear usb in the boot, via a 12v USB adapter, which also runs the front & rear dash cam too cables hidden. Did this guys mention this has heated seats front and rear,
    And another thing, the Kia’s sat nav isn’t the greatest, maybe it’s because I didn’t pay for live traffic,
    But if you have Waze Sat Nav on ya mobiles, via a cable this will be on the big screen so you can control everything with live updates, these updates are free and from other Waze users around you, so you will be updated every second of your journeys, Waze I’ve had for 6years now and never failed,
    Good luck and enjoy this car👍🏻

    Jay, I like a lot of what you've said in this video. As a thorough petrol head myself I was persuaded into a Kia Optima Sportwagon having sold a rather unreliable XF SPORTBRAKE which gave me so much trouble in the two years I owned it. The Kia does all the boring stuff I need to do with it so well, and when I'm getting 6-700 miles from a tank I can't complain. Of course I miss having some power but I can forgive it for that as it behaves so well elsewhere. Your description of like for Mercedes models being linear nailed it on the head for me also. But my next car may nave to be someting a bit higher. The time has come. I do hate the crossover segment. But I may have to go there next time.
      Also may go for a lazy deisel, under tuned to about 110bhp 200tourqe . I can see power being wasted on a crossover. Few years ago had a 180bhp zafira as a loaner, it's wasn't a great match.

    140hp😏 Are you serious?!?! Garbage. They could’ve minimum gave it 200hp and that still ain’t shit if they’re going to try to compare this car to the BMW X2.

      The biggest selling engine in the X2 is the 1.5 turbo petrol. It has just 138bhp - less than this Kia! So yeah, seriously.. why not compare?

      ofcourse its not fast its a fucking suv with a 1.4 engine probably gross weighing close to 2 ton.
      honestly peoples heads are burst to bits, its like looking at a mobility scooter and going well its shit because it isnt as fast as a honda crf 250 motorcrossbike.

      @@kirilnikolov2448 exactly, but this isnt a fast or fastest cars of a certain type video, its a comparison of 2 SUV's i guess and why one should be a better option than the other.
      people always want extravagant cars and top line speeds but sometimes its nice to have a bit mundane reality.

    About the dumbest titles on UA-cam. A KIA is the most boring car make on the road. It is plain snoring date and ugly. To try to compare to a real performance brand reflects of your abilities to review.

      You need to try a KIA or Hyundai. A Stinger, or an I30N. They are not boring.
