My husband is also a lineman, he doesn’t work at home he travels for work so he currently works in GA. We live in TN. So when you started talking about your husband’s work I was like hey that sounds a lot like a lineman haha. ❤

Hi, Wendy! FYI, with the Simon Hurley stencils, he says in his videos that the stencil should be placed with the coated side up. That will keep the coating to be pulled off onto your sticky mat. As to why he chooses to have his stencils made this way, I don't know the answer.
BTW, new subscriber here. I love your videos, because you explain things well, and you also edit out or speed over things that aren't essential to the creation of the project.

When Simon demonstrates using his stencils he talks about the one side having a coating and he stresses don’t put that side down on a sticky mat.

Yeah, we had flooding down here (although not where I live) and northern to the central valley area had tornado warnings. Definitely not typical CA weather! Climate changed!

To make this even easier, I bet we all have a thin sentiment die we could use to cut the slot and even a rectangle die for the first card. I'm not great with my trimmer so I will probably try it that way. Thanks so much for the ideas and inspiration. Great, cute cards!

I just checked one of my Simon stencils. One side is shiny, the other is mat. Its the mat side that has the coating on it.
