Might be something to do with licensing, companies usually don't want their vehicles to be associated with being broken, not even Assetto Corsa has a body damage model like that despite being an amazing racing sim, and to be honest, ideally you DON'T want to crash, so I don't mind the lack of visible damage in those games GTS doesn't have this issue because the trucks aren't licensed (hence why Scania is called Scavia, Mercedes' logo has been changed, Kenworth has a different name as well, that sort of stuff)

I always spend my time to exploring new locations instead of taking work when i'm playing ETS 2. SCS Software has never disappointed us at all. But i just hope it has realistic crash physics like that mobile truck simulator for the next update

You can remove the speed limiter by bringing your truck to a workshop and clicking on that thing near the engine but it costs diamonds and you can only get diamonds by buying it. About the update, there was a problem with pablo's computer and that's why it lacks updates. (Sorry for any misspellings or bad English)
Tbh i never really got anywhere in GTS 1, and there were no failsafes against running out of money, and like you could just lose your entire health on 1 fast crash where in GTS 2 you can at least still try to limp to a station unless it broke the engine fully
