Pretty sure to limit characters in text boxes you can set them to a specific width and that prevents more than the widths worth of characters from being entered

I did the same thing as you and I want to save the input into a variable. But e.get() only takes "Enter your name: " from the e.insert(0, "Enter Your Name: ") instruction. What should I do to save the name I am entering in the box to a variable, because name = e.get() gives me just the text "Enter Your Name"?

Hi, I have a python code written in a notebook on Jupyter. Its purpose is to give optimal weights to invest in stocks based on past performance. My code runs smoothly on Jupyter, but I would like to create a user interface so that I can easily change the inputs and obtain the output accordingly. My inputs would be the tickers of the stocks on yahoo finance (eg: 'FB' for Facebook), which the user would have to type in a box (let's say up to 10 stocks). Another data input would be the start and end date on which stock data are retrieved. And finally the output would a couple of lines of text and a graph. How can I do this concretely? Do you have any video or ressources I can use to do that? I'm a beginner so I need something easy to follow. Thank you for your help.
You just need to learn tKinter..go back to the first video in this playlist and start watching them. Learn for as long as you need to until it becomes obvious how to do what you want. Good luck!

Yes, absolutely. instead of command=thing(argument), use:
command=lambda: thing(argument)

There is no height attribute, but font will work. You likely have a typo.
Question, if i wanted to input an integer, press a button, then use that number in calculations how would I do that?

You can't ever define and pack an entry box on the same line. Break it into two lines.

just use a button for that. put an image on the button if you want it to look a certain way
how can i make the user to enter only a specific type on input i.e. INTEGER input or str
use an if statement to test if the input is an Integer, thru a warning if it is not

You can't .pack it on the same line if you want to run another function like e.get. Break it into two lines:

Not sure what you mean...you can convert any number to float using regular python.
