    Hi, I have a python code written in a notebook on Jupyter. Its purpose is to give optimal weights to invest in stocks based on past performance. My code runs smoothly on Jupyter, but I would like to create a user interface so that I can easily change the inputs and obtain the output accordingly. My inputs would be the tickers of the stocks on yahoo finance (eg: 'FB' for Facebook), which the user would have to type in a box (let's say up to 10 stocks). Another data input would be the start and end date on which stock data are retrieved. And finally the output would a couple of lines of text and a graph. How can I do this concretely? Do you have any video or ressources I can use to do that? I'm a beginner so I need something easy to follow. Thank you for your help.

      You just need to learn tKinter..go back to the first video in this playlist and start watching them. Learn for as long as you need to until it becomes obvious how to do what you want. Good luck!

    Hi, I'm fairly new with this but I was trying to put an auto clicker into a CustomTKinter GUI. I was wondering if there would be a way to have it expect the user to input a float rather than a string into the entry?

    • @Codemycom
      @Codemycom  Рік тому

      Not sure what you mean...you can convert any number to float using regular python.

      You likely need to save the data from the input boxes to a database. I have videos on that in the playlist

    Hey, I love these tutorials, I am following the whole series. I have 1 question regarding this topic: up to 5:18 I have the same code as yours and it work, but I also have been trying to use the tip about python being Object-oriented so I tested this with line 5 updated as {e = Entry(root, width=50).pack()} and empty line 6, and it did not work but gave the following error: myLabel = Label(root, text=e.get())
    AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'get'. Could you explain this to me, please?

    I'm writing a program and I need to save the input values to some different variables.

    Can anyone give me a clue how to save that plz?

      You seem to not be assigning the values to the variables. use .get()
