I felt a lot of the cow comments were more to do with the whole process than her size. In the same way that some women describe themselves as a cow when nursing, not to diminish what they are doing but how they are feeling

Fair enough, I think once you get that feeling in a book it tends to stick and definitely sucks the joy out of the story
