My mom was cleaning the basement a few weeks ago and found her baby book, which they gave to mothers when they left the hospital. She was born just after lunch (12:25) on Friday, August 1, 1952, when it was 90 degrees outside. She weighed almost 8 pounds (7 pounds 14.25 ounces). When she and my grandma left the hospital on the 8th, my mom's weight had dropped to 7 pounds 8 ounces. I think about how uncomfortable it must have been for my grandma during those last 2 months or so.

that is one HUGE hospital (compared to ours) and i agree they should put them on the Historic thing ;)
