Look after yourself when you go to uni, when I went to college I really missed having my parents there to look out for me and make sure I didn't overwork myself. From what I can tell, you're somewhat the same as me - taking on too much without realizing it sometimes. Please remember to stop and take time for yourself every now and again, look after your mental health

you should open a student account in London! the most popular ones i know of are hsbc and Santander (you get pretty much the same interest free overdraft with both, but hsbc offers a £100 amazon gift card and Santander offered a 4 year 16-25 year railcard which gives you 1/3 off train journeys) the choice is up to you. also, lots of people have both a student account and a current account (the bank for this really does not matter much) so their wages can go into their current account and maintenance loan, money from parents etc goes into the student account. this makes it easier to save money because you're less likely to use it when its in a whole separate account
