- We rented a car from Zoom (VW Polo) on 19th Feb 2021 & went to Mahabaleshwar. It costs us Rs,2800 (Zoom Rent) + Rs. 2,000 (Petrol) + Rs. 190 (Toll) + Rs. 190 (Forest & entry fees) = Total Cost - 5,180/-.

length of katraj tunnel is 1223 meters. mai 20 aug ko iss rute se jane wala hu... proper video banaunga.
You weren't driving in the 90's in Maharashtra! At that time, these ghats had only one lane and two way traffic! It used to take upto 6-7 hours to reach Mumbai from Pune. Khandala ghat was notorious for hours of traffic jam because always some truck used to breakdown in the ghat. Even the Khambatki ghat shown in this video was very dangerous to drive as it had the same one lane and two way traffic!
I agree, things have changed a lot in last few decades... I am from Darjeeling and we still have single lane roads with uphill drive...

Hey! me and my friends are planning to go to Mahabaleshwar on Bike from Pune.
I Have a Harley Davidson street 750 and its ground clearance is pretty low.
My question is that I am a beginner rider are there any steep turns on ghats that I should be worried about or just normal turns?
@@yashrajkudale6155 he, no issue - roads are quite good. And not any bad road. Just be careful on highway as you told you are new rider.
And of course follow traffic/road rules properly in ghats, then all will be good.

There is just one toll of Rs. 95 and Rs. 190 for entry and forest charges.

What is that INR 90 charge for, is it authorised or a scam?? Doesn't make sense to pay for entering a 'public' place.
It is an entry charge by forest department...
