I remember when Kim broke down crying saying he deserved a wife that could support his dreams n move with him wherever he wanted to go n I get that if u either don't have kids or are single but if you're married AND have kids I don't think it's fair to your family to expect them to move around everywhere or to leave them for long periods of time n not live with them/live far away from them. I know that's how it is in the military but u can usually take your family with u if u/they want n if not that's hard enough but it's for an honorable cause n different because even though most people who join the military choose to do so(except drafts which don't happen often/haven't happened for awhile in the U.S.), they don't usually choose to move around or where they go(they have to). In his case,he chose that on his own volition.

I can’t imagine any relationship/marriage being easy for any of these people with everything they have to do and the pressure they have on them; all celebrities in general to be honest. I hope I genuinely hope this healthy, good co-parenting relationship stays. My parents couldn't get along to save their lives and it made things difficult for my brother and I.
Same here. My mom and step-dad (who I called dad and still do, he's amazing and has done so much for me) hated my dad and the drop offs had to be at a restaurant bc my mom didn't want my bio dad to come to our house. Then when I'd go to my dad's for summers, he'd shit talk my mom the whole time I was there- when he's the one who cheated with my babysitter and then married my mom's best friend. My mom never spoke a negative word to me about my dad. Now that I'm in my late 30s, my mom and step mom are finally starting to talk again and I think it's my children that brought them together. When I was going through a hard time, my bio dad ACTUALLY called my MOM to talk to her about me and what he could do to help. So things are finally at a good place between them. Too bad it took over 30 years- as they divorced when I was just 2. (They were high school sweethearts and started dating when my mom was just 14 - they were 22 when they got divorced) Oh, and in case anyone wonders- the babysitter? She was in college with my dad, that's how they met and he recommended her to my mom to keep her close to him, so she wasn't some like 12 year old or anything, lol. She was the same age as my parents.

She is legitimately evil, pits the kids against each other, has been physical with the eldest and mocks her body and weight, and doesn't respect boundaries with our house (storms in without knocking and opens the fridge, will have our front door wide open saying 30 min long goodbyes rather than saying goodbye before coming to the door and we have an indoor cat we don't want getting out, keep in mind she made serious accusations against my brother and said he is terrifying and disgusts her/can't even look at him and hes an r-worder, but always wants to be in his house chatting with him amicably now for no reason, etc.). I don't know how to keep how angry she makes me from affecting the kids, or how to explain why I need to address some of her inappropriate behaviour. We as a family have not healed from her - she got almost 200k from my brother in the divorce, she got HIS PENSION, and she was dead weight the whole relationship and is now an abusive narcissist with the kids, but she's able to be very unaffected. We didn't do anything even close to what she did, so of course we're the "angry" ones. She literally tells the kids that we just get jealous/don't like them to have a relationship with her when we try to explain to her about inappropriate house behaviour, which is just the furthest thing from the truth. I'm so worried they will see US as the family who made things harder for them 😔 when they're old enough she's going to start up her story about why she left, too, rife with all these lies and half-truths about my brother. Any insight as a kiddo who grew up in this stuff?
@@psychologistplays3370 the biggest thing that I can remember is the way my dad talked about my mom every summer. And my mom and I were very very close and to hear him say horrible things about her made me cry every single night while I was there, missing my mom so much. But I still had the insight not to tell her the terrible things he said bc I didn't want to hurt her feelings. I never believed him bc I always felt like I knew her better than he did. The weird drop offs, like the fact that he couldn't come to our house weren't weird to me back then, it was just the way things were done. I didn't learn until later the reasoning for it. Which in this case I feel my mom was way too weird about. I believe my dad had every right to see where I was living. The one thing that did bother me that my mom did was rip me from my father without him even knowing what was happening. When she finally decided to leave him, she packed the car with as much as would fit, put me in as well and drove cross country without telling my dad. Now, bc my dad was a self serving ahole back then and extremely selfish, he never pursued any legal alleys with her. He just let things be how they were. But I feel like in the end it DID damage my relationship with my dad. See, I don't feel like I'm very close with my dad at all. I don't really know him, know him, if you get what I mean. And I think if my mom would have stayed in state at least, I could have spent more than just summers with him. However I am very lucky to have a step father who's been in my life since I was 3 and he filled that "father" void. But I also feel like I could have had both of them too. I feel my mom taking me was unfair to ME. Even if my dad didn't fight for me at the time, as I grew and he matured (they were SO young- 21 at the time) he would have wanted me around and he's said as much to me now as an adult. But you can't go back so I'm just trying to keep my relationship with my bio dad as strong as possible for as long as I can. We started getting closer when I was in my 20s. So my advice is to realize that children often know more about situations like these than adults realize and these negative situations DEFINITELY DO effect us as we get older. Same here. My mom and step-dad (who I called dad and still do, he's amazing and has done so much for me) hated my dad and the drop offs had to be at a restaurant bc my mom didn't want my bio dad to come to our house. Then when I'd go to my dad's for summers, he'd shit talk my mom the whole time I was there- when he's the one who cheated with my babysitter and then married my mom's best friend. My mom never spoke a negative word to me about my dad. Now that I'm in my late 30s, my mom and step mom are finally starting to talk again and I think it's my children that brought them together. When I was going through a hard time, my bio dad ACTUALLY called my MOM to talk to her about me and what he could do to help. So things are finally at a good place between them. Too bad it took over 30 years- as they divorced when I was just 2. (They were high school sweethearts and started dating when my mom was just 14 - they were 22 when they got divorced) Oh, and in case anyone wonders- the babysitter? She was in college with my dad, that's how they met and he recommended her to my mom to keep her close to him, so she wasn't some like 12 year old or anything, lol. She was the same age as my parents.
@@constantreader4376 can you give advice for a similar situation? Things are not amicable between my brother and his ex. She is legitimately evil, pits the kids against each other, has been physical with the eldest and mocks her body and weight, and doesn't respect boundaries with our house (storms in without knocking and opens the fridge, will have our front door wide open saying 30 min long goodbyes rather than saying goodbye before coming to the door and we have an indoor cat we don't want getting out, keep in mind she made serious accusations against my brother and said he is terrifying and disgusts her/can't even look at him and hes an r-worder, but always wants to be in his house chatting with him amicably now for no reason, etc.). I don't know how to keep how angry she makes me from affecting the kids, or how to explain why I need to address some of her inappropriate behaviour. We as a family have not healed from her - she got almost 200k from my brother in the divorce, she got HIS PENSION, and she was dead weight the whole relationship and is now an abusive narcissist with the kids, but she's able to be very unaffected. We didn't do anything even close to what she did, so of course we're the "angry" ones. She literally tells the kids that we just get jealous/don't like them to have a relationship with her when we try to explain to her about inappropriate house behaviour, which is just the furthest thing from the truth. I'm so worried they will see US as the family who made things harder for them 😔 when they're old enough she's going to start up her story about why she left, too, rife with all these lies and half-truths about my brother. Any insight as a kiddo who grew up in this stuff?
@@psychologistplays3370 the biggest thing that I can remember is the way my dad talked about my mom every summer. And my mom and I were very very close and to hear him say horrible things about her made me cry every single night while I was there, missing my mom so much. But I still had the insight not to tell her the terrible things he said bc I didn't want to hurt her feelings. I never believed him bc I always felt like I knew her better than he did. The weird drop offs, like the fact that he couldn't come to our house weren't weird to me back then, it was just the way things were done. I didn't learn until later the reasoning for it. Which in this case I feel my mom was way too weird about. I believe my dad had every right to see where I was living. The one thing that did bother me that my mom did was rip me from my father without him even knowing what was happening. When she finally decided to leave him, she packed the car with as much as would fit, put me in as well and drove cross country without telling my dad. Now, bc my dad was a self serving ahole back then and extremely selfish, he never pursued any legal alleys with her. He just let things be how they were. But I feel like in the end it DID damage my relationship with my dad. See, I don't feel like I'm very close with my dad at all. I don't really know him, know him, if you get what I mean. And I think if my mom would have stayed in state at least, I could have spent more than just summers with him. However I am very lucky to have a step father who's been in my life since I was 3 and he filled that "father" void. But I also feel like I could have had both of them too. I feel my mom taking me was unfair to ME. Even if my dad didn't fight for me at the time, as I grew and he matured (they were SO young- 21 at the time) he would have wanted me around and he's said as much to me now as an adult. But you can't go back so I'm just trying to keep my relationship with my bio dad as strong as possible for as long as I can. We started getting closer when I was in my 20s. So my advice is to realize that children often know more about situations like these than adults realize and these negative situations DEFINITELY DO effect us as we get older.
