Nice breakdown and nice lesson for Hip-Hop newcomers. Now I'm looking forward to you creating a future classic instead of remaking things that have already been done. You have what it takes, so go ahead.
Patrick Göbel thanks for the advice. No hate intended on my side, I'm glad the fella made bangers of his own, and even this video is cool because it's pedagogical

No one ever uses swing. The ALL MPC's start the swing at 50%. Start. Make a template where the swing is automatically set to 50%. Then start making beats. The Maschine software is making AKAI look bad when people try to imitate the swing. I know the equipment doesn't make the beat the person makes the beat. Everyone is trying to imitate 90's boom bap. But they have to stop being hard-headed and listen to the music more. Study the swing and chop techniques. It takes 10,000 hours to become a professional. And that just STARTS the industry legend status. After that time then you have to start being consistent with your craft. Sacrifice. No clubs and hanging with ya boys. Especially on the weekends. Pease take my advice. Save and start with a 50% swing template. Then adjust the quantization. Peace

need to lose the sweting technique dude, we all push pads.. facts are no matter how hard you hit that rubber square the sample will always play. No matter how hard you "swing" your body in rythm you are still triggering a digital set of 1s and 0s that would translate into analogue sound through your monitors.. not like playing a 6minute drum solo at a concert or striking bass strings with your folks in a garage. Chill out. Your not playing altho it might sound as if you are.. Needless to say Im one of thousands who entered music production thanks to technology and not knowing notes.
