hey ... im from the south central wisc area ,, and i just wanted to give you a little tip on getting the snow out of your bunks,,, and that is if its light and fluffy you can take your leaf blower and use that to blow the snow out instead of doing all of that shoveling,, it goes a lot faster,,
New to the channel . I love watching beef cattle , they are hardier than milk cows . I would try to mount a big leaf blower to your tractor and blow that snow out of those troughs . I hope the public understands that you don’t want to give your livestock antibiotics , it’s expensive but the cows and steers are worth a lot of money , and if they are sick they can spread it to the rest of the herd . This was an awesome video . Merry Christmas to you and your family and Happy New Year !
we got 2 " of snow on Saturday night from McReynolds family farm in woodston,ks to your Peterson farm marry christmas and a happy new year you guys do a good jop videos to people what we farmer doing on the farm good jop shawn mcreynolds
Lucky for you, snow just adds more excitement to your day! Here in the city it is just a pain to deal with...however, I am looking forward to hopefully having a white Christmas. Happy 1 week to Christmas! Love the videos keep 'em coming.❤🐮🐮🐮
Im from northern california but i lived in ne kansas for couple years, near manhattsn ks 2 of my three kids were born there love seeing your guys farm out there reminds me of ks winters!!!
Love the vid. You guys are always fun and informative. Did have to laugh though, if that's your biggest snow storm this year. In Wyoming we've had storm after storm this year, feet at a time. Wind rarely stops. Been bitter. Glad it's not frigid there. Kansas humidity usually makes things wretched all year long. (Family in Kansas near you all.)
Great video! Here in western N.Y.anything less than 6" is just a dusting! I feel like I have to have a barn for them to seek some shelter. Although bison and deer never needed it. As for antibiotics it seems to be that Facebook science that likes to hype it up, residues are tested so that any meat you but is antibiotic free! Just like all meat has hormones. No living thing, plant or animal, is hormone free. Merry Christmas boys!
...could you use a blower attachment on the feed channel to blow out that snow...Merry Christmas to you and your family...and farm....Thank you and God Bless the Farmers...
Loving your cattle vids guys. Do ever feed any calves from Kentucky ? Just wondering , we hear a lot of feed lots try to stay away from ky. calves. I background my own calves and few to 850 lbs. Thanks for all your efforts.
I would love to see you do a video debunking the Grass fed, Grass finished beef argument that goes on all the time on UA-cam. It's a real big deal in the Keto/ Low carbohydrate way of eating lifestyle. The argument is that Grass Fed-Grass finished has a better Omega 3 to Omega 6 fat profile in the meat than conventionally raised Beef.
Just a couple of suggestions,, why not get you a metal fabricator to make you a shovel formed to the shape of the feed trough? It'd be a lot easier to run through with one scoop out the trough if that doesn't deem being too heavy & get the snow out more evenly. Secondly,, let your wife (?) know she's expending far too much energy when throwing that snow out the trough raising her shovel so high. That may sound absurd,, but she truly is using a lot more energy raising that shovel so high in lieu of allowing the shovel to barely graze the top of the trough while throwing the snow out. Not trying to sound like a know-it-all but I used to do plumbing work & before we had a backhoe to dig sewer/water lines,, we had to hand dig them. My dad used to crawl on my butt telling me,, "son,, you know you've got to put that dirt back in that ditch" when I was digging away & slinging that freshly dug dirt 6-7' away from it's point of origin. The light came on in my head & it was far easier to rake back into the ditch & tamp it back down when we'd completed our installation just laying it in a nice neat pile closely to the edge as we dug. Movement/distance = time/energy perhaps wasted.
Why not say a 1oz shoot in a 600lb animal The underlying issue is the antibiotic shot killing the bacteria or is it making the bacteria resistant to antibiotics and how can we tell. I n some places antibiotic use has just made the germs tougher. How is this avoided? Great videos over the last ten years keep on keeping on Wayne Naracoorte australia
Edvin Andersson : I went with my wife & in-laws to Norway & Sweden in Sept. 2013. My mother in-laws grandfather came from Bergen, Norge area & my father in-laws grandfather came from Sweden. His name was Karlsson.

will gaukler yes but it costs money and we like to work out...side 😁
...gotcha...
Just a question, why not mount a leaf blower or some sort of plow to feed cart to move snow?
Man u got alot of cattle to feed and it super cold where u at but man u do a great job
Like videos, what do you feed and how much of each feedstuff
You got more snow then we did in southern NE.
THANK YOU
You need a leaf blower to speed up the process with that snow removal from the first bunk.
So how many head to u guys back round total and how many are home raised calves
Darwin McReynolds 1,000 head background, 75 head cow/calf 👍

Basing on your surname and the "Dalahorse" on your mailbox, does your ancestors come from Sweden?🤔
Edvin Andersson yes our farm was settled by our great great grandparents who immigrated from Sweden in 1882!
@@PetersonFarmBros cool! I live in Sweden, have you ever been over here or have you thought about it?
Edvin Andersson yes my wife I and went there this summer and saw the family farm from six generations ago!
