I'm sure they have asked parents for permission, but I can't help thinking the teachers just wanted to meet them. From this I'm in 2 minds: 1 part of me is saying, it's great because as children some of us were oddballs and didn't feel we were cool and we were bullied, and it's only when we become adults do we realise there are people like us and it's not weird to enjoy what we enjoy, and we don't know this as kids, which makes childhood difficult, and that's what these drag queens show us. However, "What are your pronouns? What is your sexuality?" - these questions do not come naturally to young children and no-one asks these as their first question to strangers. They have been coached by their teachers to ask these questions, and if the teachers are saying it's right to ask these straightaway, I'm not sure if these are right to ask. And the confusing answers of "any pronoun is good", I don't think kids understood either. One set of pronouns per person only, he for boys, she for girls - that's right, and that's a good thing.
The world has gone mad. This is what schools think is important for kids to learn? What about stranger danger, keeping themselves safe, healthy relationships?
