Stephen, you took the words right out of my mouth!!! Isn't watching him paint like watching a love story unfold??? Something so delicate and patiently laid down at first, then he works so delicately with those funny little brushes making those little whispy yet flashy stokes... it's like a photograph, but with much more life and soul! Siempre con esa exactitud y humildad tan característico tuyo demostrando el talento de una persona y artista como ninguno. Dalí o Picasso si te conociesen exaltarian tu obra por todo New York o París. Eres grande, de lo mejor.

Excellent piece of art. Love how you make brush strokes so effortlessly but still so precise. If we talk about coloring skin and hair then no doubt out of all the watercolor artists that I have seen you'll definitely be #1 in that section. It's just a pleasure to watch the drawing coming to life. Do you mind if I ask which watercolor paper you use? One I use tends to buckle very easily despite of being 300 gsm 100% cotton cold pressed watercolor paper.
I'm interested in that ........... I think it's a block, possibly gummed on all four sides. I could be wrong. ua-cam.com/video/4NeD185-F0M/v-deo.html
I mainly use canson arches-rough(roll 356g) and baohong artists(300g).

Wouldn't the ability of a master of watercolor painting shine much more if it was drawn with the great abilities of a master of character watercolors, centered on ordinary citizens, historical giants, political, economic, cultural, artistic, scientific giants, world stars, and winners?In addition, if you draw a face that is more emotional than a normal smile and expressionless face, and various emotions such as joy, emotion, deliberation, agony, etc., explode, the master's skills will seem more valuable.
The painting subject is an ordinary person (citizen). And she is not expressionless; she is contemplative. The artist can & should decide who or what to paint without being influenced by outside critics. Maybe you can also try to paint what you are aspiring to see.
