What I've found very interesting in recent years is, certain subjects can't even be HINTED at by The Bulletin without even you all being dogpiled. I won't elaborate on it any further, those who saw it unfold can know, anybody else probably wouldn't benefit from hearing anyway, for a complex set of reasons. It is just discouraging that there can be a group of the smartest most knowledgeable people with a clearly stated, unchallenged prosocial goal... and none of that matters, sometimes, it's fall in line or be ruined.
This is a metaphor to show how badly we treated the world (Climate change, War and AI). We can turn back the Doomsday Clock by spending less time on technology, respect nature!
The problem is, technology is like a champagne bottle, once its popped, you can't put the cork back in. We can argue about it, we can fear it, we can indulge in it, or we can let it spill and spoil. We need to adapt to it. Should it never have been released, possibly; but it was released, so we should learn to use it, to make it benefit us, rather than let it ruin us.
I have the Doomsday Clock bookmarked as "how long until we fucking die?" but it cuts off, so I just see "how long until we fuck..."

Probably time to adjust the clock again.
