The timing of this guidance showing up in my life is intense, I am grateful to be given such great holy guidance and to have been held by her as an infant
Interesting and beautiful. I witnessed her IRL too as a small 3 year old child as early as 1974 again in 1990 and 1991 as a young man. However, I must say I didn't really spiritually witness her until I felt like spreading links to her speeches (especially the Baha'i world Congress of 1963) every chance I get to some of the most otherwise despondent people. Her poem put to song "This is Faith" sang by Shadi Toloui Wallace is beautiful mixed with her speeches.
the jouney is of the soul, the lesser laws are right and chosen through love,,strain through the gnat and let through the camel, follow material laws ,spirituual laws are eternal ,truth, honesty, detachme
I enjoy some of her points. I can see how this talk is helpful for me as a Baha’i and there are things that I still find relevant. I also think her talk is representative of her time; I don’t think she is trauma informed or understands intergenerational trauma and many things have been learned since she gave this talk. Also, I’ve found that sharing parenting has been wonderful in my family and my husband and I both work part time and parent part time. Of course, she was a very opinionated person and I expect to not agree with everything she says. But, I still find this talk helpful.
It is undoubtedly true that she will, to whatever measured degree, be a product of her time and environment. Likewise, I think we must admit, of ourselves.
2 peoplle exist ,one that thinks body is the journey, others think the soul is the journey, all else is obvious, strain for the gnat let through the camel.the laws of truthfulness ,honesty are etenal in the past and straying be good
Brilliant talk and still so timely given by my all time heroine. Wonderful.❤

I also think she’s kind of assumptive about how family life should be.

Is it surprising that only 4 Bahais have commented on this talk? Or is it “Silence is golden?”😅
