I really like your realistic and down-to-Earth approach. It’s good to splurge and allow yourself to have nice things, but it’s important to keep it in perspective.
So needed this video right now! Slapped me right back in to my "sober" thinking :D. Thank you for your time invested in these videos, they are a treat to watch. Just stumbled across your channel two days ago and have been binge watching everything 😃. Your charisma is such a delight...and the aesthetics, jeezz!! Makes me want to go clean my house, declutter and go touch my bags 😂. Cheers from Riga!
What a wonderful channel--you offer helpful advice and provide common sense recommendations for purchases--I'm so glad I found you! I will be consulting this particular video each time I make a significant fashion purchase to remind myself of the important considerations. Thank you, thank you!
I love these tips and the advice of really thinking out a purchase before making it. At the risk of sounding like an old fuddy-duddy, I would go a little further and say that buying luxury items, or fashion in general, should only come from your disposable income, That’s what is left over AFTER everything is paid for and the proper amount has been saved. So, all bills first, then save at least 10% of your income towards retirement (meaning you do NOT spend it), then save towards things like vacations, unexpected bills, etc. After all that, you have your fun money to shop with!
I love the Pinterest board idea! these videos are really helpful for me, just found your channel and have been running through all your videos :) subscribed !
You are and this video is amazing! Very logical and I need this in my life as I’m extremely impulsive which is not a good thing. So this was very helpful!
Very good shopping gut check questions. I did just recently make an expensive impulse buy and wish I had these questions as a tool. I love my item but wish I would have waited and given it more thought. I was taken in by the boutique experience.
Deb Holtz I can totally relate to that, I tend to get all caught up in the experience at the boutique, too! I am super glad you liked my video and I hope that my video will give you some helpful advise for the future!💓
I can't believe I've only just found your channel! We are literally the same person when it comes to these realities. Not to mention, we're both Evelyn's! Lol Loved this video.
It’s very true that not just buying something because it’s on sale. I bought a Balenciaga bag 10 years ago when it’s on sale. It never fit my lifestyle and I only carried it a couple of times:( And love your necklace so much. May I know the brand?
I really like the questions you introduced as they can be applied to any big purchase that might just be for fun. I still have a bit of a struggle, I want a Cartier Love bracelet, but most definitely don’t need it and I keep thinking of ways to justify it even though it’s just an excessive want. I used your questions to help guide me, but what would you do if you were me? What’s your take on pieces like that?
I always dreamed of owning a Cartier piece. But I als couldn´t justify the price of the Love bracelettes, so I got a ring instead. Also, I chose a special occasion to get it so it actually now has a special, personal meaning for me, which makes even more valuable for me:) Ask yourself, WHY you want this bracelette so bad. How long have you been dreaming of it? Would it add value to your life in any way (joy, passion for the brand, personal meaning, treating yourself....)? I hope that helps!:)
@@thegeekischic Thanks so much for your reply! Yes, I have wanted one for a lone time because I think they are just really nice. I would be treating myself, but because I am accomplishing a great goal of mine as I am graduating from law school and it has not been an easy road to get here. So having a nice little piece to always motivate and remind me that I can work hard would be my reasoning behind it. I like how you bought a ring and never thought of this, but maybe should consider. Thanks so much for your help!
See about question number 7......but it's not true. I have bought items from 5$-100$ and they have all lasted me several years. Ofcourse I have had most of my clothes since the yearly 2000's (most of which were thrifted, hand me downs, or from walmart). And most of them still look as good as the day I got them. The only ones that have started to fall or apart or no longer look good are the looser knit shirts designed for summer. Then again....the quality of clothes from places like Zara and Forever 21 is garbage and I will personally never support any fast fashion brands. Though a lot of designers now days are also having their items made by poorly paid people and children in third world countries. So yeah, I try to stick to the second hand market as much as I can; even for designer.
Of course I cannot make an ultimate statement about "all fashion" under 100€ but today it is more likely that these items will not last long than the other way round. I also do own a couple of items from the early 2000s that were not expensive and they acutally still look good, but you also have to keep in mind that this was almost 20 years ago and the way even f.e. H&M made their clothing back then was very different than how they do it today. If you only think of the competition: back then, there was no Zara, no Primark to push quality lower and lower.
Hey 😌ich finde deine videos super interessant und dich auch! Hast du russische wurzeln? Und was machst du beruflich, falls die Fragenicht zu privat ist. 😊

I love the idea that only buy the item when you have budget to buy it twice!! I am going to apply this to every purchase in future. Thank you.

My opinion is...you probably have enough bags as it is 😂 I'm saying that with love, don't misunderstand my intentions 😊
Please post your Pinterest!~ Would love to follow you!

Vielen Dank für die lieben Worte! Meine Wurzeln sind polnisch und ich arbeite in der Modebranche 💓☺️
Good video but 3 commercials in such a short video is far too much
