    I like your handlebar setup…my Phantom just arrived with thumbthrottles far away from handgrips. Smh

    Im interested in buying the v4 or the city pro. I dont know which one. I want the phantom because of the long range and speed, but the city has ip66, tubeless tires and is cheaper, but the ip66 is the biggest point, but still dont know if the phantom is good option.

      Honestly I would lean more towards the city pro.

    I'm surprised that you don't use the dedicated regen brake. For me, that was one of, if not the biggest selling point of the Phantom and what has me interested in it. Is it just muscle memory for you to use the hand-brake, or is there something you don't like about the dedicated regen brake?

    • @thiethie2-pc5gr
      @thiethie2-pc5gr  Рік тому +1

      I refrain from using the regen brake for the first 10 mins of ride. But I do use it after that in conjunction with the front brakes.
      Also the hydraulic brakes are so nice to use.

      @@thiethie2-pc5grhow do you use the regen brakes?

    • @thiethie2-pc5gr

      You’d need to be more specific with that question bro.

    • @berengerchristy6256
      @berengerchristy6256 10 місяців тому

      @@christianb8228idk how much more specific you need to be, but there is something that looks just like the thumb throttle but it’s on the left side of the handlebar (at least that’s where it is on the Apollo city). That’s the regen brake “lever.” I believe they are also supposed to come on in conjunction with the regular brakes, but that might be on other models

      Thanks. I’m using a GoPro hero 8. I Hope you’ll get your scooter soon. It sucks that Apollo keeps you waiting like this.

    What is the camera you are using sir

    • @thiethie2-pc5gr
      @thiethie2-pc5gr  6 місяців тому

      That is a GoPro 8.
      I don’t recommend it though because of 2 issues. The smoothing doesn’t work well with ND filters. And the go pro straight up switches off when riding in cold weather ( around 0 Celsius)

    Why no regen brake usage?

    • @thiethie2-pc5gr

      I do use it after a few kilometers. I don’t wanna use it when the battery is full. I know it’s probably safe and the technology behind it is probably sound, but, I prefer to be extra safe.

    • @happydappyman

      @@thiethie2-pc5gr nice! I've got almost 6k on mine. I have been noticing my battery won't charge to anywhere near full anymore. At first I was thinking it was bad degradation, but now I suspect it's actually cells getting badly out of balance. I usually try to only charge it to 80% or so, but the few guys I know who just charge theirs full are still able to charge their batteries fuller than mine (in one case with 10k km on his scoot, he still gets 58.6 v).

    • @thiethie2-pc5gr
      @thiethie2-pc5gr  6 місяців тому +1

      @happydappyman interesting. Mine still charges up to 58.7. I do slow charge to full because I do long distance trips. Let’s see how long it lasts.

    • @happydappyman
      @happydappyman 6 місяців тому +1

      @@thiethie2-pc5gr interesting, you charge to full as well. I think charging to full must help the BMS balance the pack. Maybe what I'll do is wait till my pack is down to around 40 or so and charge it all the way up with the slow charger, do that a few times. See if that helps balance the pack.
