+Jacob Zondag why do you say Stalinistic? If you go back to before the "new deal" and the depression, then worker rights and safety in the US were the worst in the modern world. Why not just say capitalistic death trap, since worker safety and worker rights is a socialist concept, not a capitalist.
Short pants, open toe sandals, no safety glasses, ear protection or hardhat. Not at any mill I worked at. Operator should say daily prayers there is no fence wire in any of those logs. Life will be interesting when the band goes for a walk when it hits some in one of those logs.
If that log was to fall on you steel toe cap boots would not be of much use,Better to have trainers on to run away.Safe working practices are better than safety equipment. That guy has neither.
No stainless steel covers on the bed so the lumber gets stained. Nice. I also don't get the thin, thin slices. Not quite veneer -- just like his pants are not quite shorts. Strange.
not really, i've worked with wood and lumber, and they make thin slices instead of making big one because the can give use to thin while if thivk is made maybe it wont fit into specs, so it's a way to make it more efficient and a way to take advantage to left over material while the final product(big square block) is made.
I agree with Opochka, crap music, he said. I would say unnecessary music. Can't the chap speak? It would have been nice if he was explaining what he was doing and why.
No safety glasses, no hearing protection, 3/4 length pants and I guess those are safety flip flops he's wearing. Perhaps Poland is a little more relaxed on health and safety issues in the workplace than Canada
Not covered by the OSH Act: Self-employed; Immediate family members of farm employers that do not employ outside employees If he's self employed, like I am with my sawmill, OSHA wouldn't affect him in the US. Of course, I have moved more and more towards using proper safety equipment. I'm 21 and want to be able to hear when I'm 50+. Also, I (now) always use eye protection because, while sawdust hurts, the bark from the debarker hurts more (the mill in the video has one (the green arm)
+rusher80 .... I know trees are 1 of the best things to protect.... but so many things mean so much to humans.... learn please and teach yourself and others
edsemaj me dont be aggressive.. I did not said bad anything about anyone.. We have to protect the trees if we want to live on this earth.. Trees produce oxygen, water vapour and clouds and rains and rivers and protect earth from erosion.. Trees provide climate control and controls destructive winds.. Trees provide fruits, and are home to million of species of birds and jungle life.. Trees consume carbon dioxide and hence protect earth against green house effect.. So you need to learn my friend and yes i will learn also as you said
+rusher80 ...absolutely you are 100 % correct...I trained as an ecologist , became a forest manager, I grew trees and cut trees...loved the wildlife and streams and rivers....I am also a realist as I so much appreciate the organic world...just like you...if politics never entered my world .... I never would have left forestry

Thank you very much for citing the source of the soundtrack. I've been looking for it for 3 years.

I think the thin slices are to show how accurate the saw is. Looks like no blade wonder.
Vivo en Uruguay sudamericano estos vídeos son FANTASTICOS saludos
Why are the cuts so thin. Are there any videos of this equipment making more versatile cuts?
This is a tiny saw... A Gibson multisaw would chop through this in no time
QUE buenas seguridad industrial...... este tipo en chanclas ........

no, but a good education and working common sense can bring you a long way.
